I am the original owner of a brand new 2024 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, and this issue began within the first 15,000 miles of regular dealer-maintained use. At approximately 14,800 miles, I noticed unusual and rapid outer shoulder wear on all four OEM Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 285/65R18 tires. A professional alignment inspection performed by Toyota Carlsbad dealership confirmed that the factory-set front
... toe angle was significantly out of Toyota’s specification (left front toe: +0.30°, right front: +0.10°, total front toe: +0.39°). This incorrect alignment was present from the factory and caused tire damage before any corrections were made. These settings match exactly what is described in Toyota Limited Service Campaign 24TD01, which applies to 2022–2023 Tundra models. However, my 2024 vehicle is not included, even though the defect and symptoms are identical. The alignment defect was confirmed and corrected by the dealership, but Toyota refused to replace the damaged tires, stating it is not a warrantable condition. However, this wear was directly caused by the misalignment on a new, factory-spec vehicle, maintained per Toyota guidelines. This condition presents a clear safety risk, as premature outer tire wear significantly reduces traction, affects handling, and increases stopping distance—especially in wet or emergency conditions. There were no warning lights or messages, making the condition undetectable until visible tire damage occurred. I filed a formal complaint with Toyota USA, but they declined further assistance. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate whether Toyota should expand Campaign 24TD01 to include 2024 models with the same alignment-related defect. The tires are available for inspection. I have supporting documentation including alignment reports, photos of tire wear, and communications with Toyota regarding this case #.Read more

The hybrid battery had the potential to catch fire and it was recalled for a software update, the 95b update. After this software update was completed, the vehicle would completely shut down, regardless of being parked or while driving. The dealership deemed the vehicle "unsafe to drive" and has provided a loaner until they can correct the problem. In addition to this, the front suspension has bee

Brought my vehicle to Costco to have the tires replaced. After the vehicle was put on the lift, the wheel broke off. Fortunately no one was underneath at the time. Costco did no further work because of this so car was then towed to dealership. They confirmed that the strut mounts were rusted so badly that it caused it to just break away from the top mount. This suspension issue also caused additio
... nal tire damage. There was absolutely no indiciation that there was an issue with the strut and I am glad that it decided to break off while on a lift getting service instead of when I was driving it. The vehicle is only 7 years old and mechanics at dealership confirmed that corrosion should not have happened that quickly and suspect a design flaw that is trapping moisture, therefore accelerating corrosion.Read more

At 1200 miles the car began to have clicking noise when doing sharp turns which appeared to be a CV joint/ axle issue. At 3900 miles dealership replaced both axles. Purchased car on March 4, 2025. Noticed TMPS dashboard light was on, returned 3/5/2025, Ford replaced tire senor, light was still on, they replaced 4 tire senors. But did not replace all untill 4/19/2024, that is when I noticed a bubble and crack on tire and a BROKEN SWAY BAR LINK. ALSO THEY DID NOT INSPECT MY CAR WITHIN 7 DAYS, THEY INSPECTED IT ON 3/14/2025. TOLD ME THE TMPS light would go off after I drove the car around. 24 Ford of South Easton of Easton, MA sold me a 2010 Honda Fit that has a DriveShaft recall for corrosion. Also, faulty tire senors, replaced but Dashboard TMPS light is still on, lied about giving me a new tire, tire has bubbles on it and they put tire on rim facing in toward car wheel hub so it won't be visible, I noticed this and a broken Sway Bar Link. Ford let me drive an unsafe car off the lot. They didn't Offer to fix it, I went to AXP Auto , paid $183.00 to fix the Sway Bar Link, then to a tire Shop to get a new tire . I went to Honda Dealership and they replaced the DRIVESHAFT AND GAVE ME A $2000.00 ESTIMATE OF SAFETY REPAIRS THAT NEED TO BE FIXED. Six weeks after I brought car, Transmission Engine light is constantly on...many other thing wrong. Axle Shaft R&R, front pads and rotor, 4 tires, Dirty Air Filter, old oil filter black oil. Now Transmission Pressure Senor needs replacement. List is long. AXP Auto also gave me a $2,000.00 quote on repairs, transmission fluid pressure switch gasket, etc. steering TIE RODS, REPLACE BRAKES. THIS HONDA FIT IS A DEATHTRAP AND I AM SCARED TO DRIVE IT. 24 FORD SHOULD HAVE REPLACED DRIVESHAFT BEFORE I PURCHASED CAR. THEY SWINDLED ME on THE SALES CONTACT AS I DIDN'T KNOW THEY CHARGED ME $6200.00 IN WARRANTY, I WAS ABLE TO CANCEL ONE WARRANTY TOTAL OF $2000.00, AS T DIDN'T COVER BRAKES AND OTHER REPAIRS, SUCH AS POWERTRAIN. The front subframe has experienced catastrophic failure due to severe and premature rust-through corrosion. Multiple holes have perforated the component, compromising the vehicle's structural integrity. The part is available for inspection upon request. The safety of my family and others was put at significant risk, as the subframe is the primary component that mounts the engine, suspension, and
... steering rack to the vehicle. A failure of the subframe while driving could cause a complete loss of steering control and the collapse of the front suspension, leading to a serious or fatal crash. The problem was independently reproduced and confirmed by both an independent service center and an authorized Audi dealership. Both establishments have deemed the vehicle unsafe to drive due to this specific issue. The manufacturer (Audi of America) has been made aware of the issue through their dealership network. They have acknowledged the defect by offering a "goodwill" repair to replace the subframe, confirming their awareness of this failure mode. However, the manufacturer has made this safety-critical repair contingent on the owner first paying for several thousand dollars of unrelated maintenance items, creating a financial barrier that prevents the safety fix from being implemented. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms prior to the failure's discovery. This is a silent failure that provides no warning to the driver. It was only discovered during a routine service visit when the vehicle was on a lift.Read more

My wife, [XXX] , purchased a 2005 Acura TL on [XXX]. The car was not inspected, it had a hole in the oil tank, was leaking battery acid, had broken control arms, wore out rotors, wore out brake pads, bald tires, Vehicle Stability Control disabled, no AC, cracked dashboard where the passenger air bag is located, and the alignment was so bad that the car would try to pull very hard off of the road.
... Toxic hot fumes entered the cockpit during my wife's drive home from the car dealership. The fumes made her feel sick and gave her a horrible headache because of the leaking battery acid and perhaps the hole in the oil tank. It's a health and safety issue that needs to be taken seriously. The used car dealership (Premium Auto Outlet Inc.) is selling vehicles to customers and are not providing them with the title. My wife paid in full, yet she had to fight to receive the title. The employees scream at there customers, including my wife and also tell them to leave the property when asking for the title and when confronted about vehicle mechanical issues. The female employee even screamed over the phone at our mechanic (Delran Auto Repair) who tried to tell the employee that the car was not is sellable condition due to the safety and mechanical problems. Please review the Google reviews and Facebook reviews for more horrible customer experiences when it comes vehicles being sold in horribly unsafe mechanical condition, withholding titles, unlawfully repossessing, screaming at customers and ignoring customer complaints. The best resolution for my wife and I would be for the dealership to pay for all of the repair bills that accrued (roughly $4K) due to the car being sold in unsafe condition and most importantly the prevention of any health and safety issues due to the selling of unsafe mechanically condition vehicles to future customers. Please investigate this issue for the health and safety of people. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

I am reporting a safety concern related to the suspension system in my 2017 Tesla Model X. I have not made any aftermarket modifications, and the vehicle has been maintained in accordance with Tesla’s recommendations. This issue appears to match the known problem involving front sus
... pension fore link failures documented in NHTSA investigations and prior complaints for 2016–2017 Model X vehicles. While I have not experienced a complete suspension failure, the current symptoms are consistent with reported cases where the fore links weaken or fail, causing the wheel to shift and contact the fender liner, leading to tire damage, unusual noises, and potential safety risks. I have reported this to Tesla, but they have not acknowledged this as a known issue for my VIN. However, NHTSA previously identified over 400 instances of similar failure and recommended that Tesla expand their service bulletin to include more vehicles. This is a critical safety concern as it can lead to premature tire wear, loss of control, and further suspension failure. I am requesting that NHTSA review whether Tesla should issue a recall or cover this repair under a broader service campaign.Read more

My main issue that has caused major concern is while I was driving down the road. The steering all of a sudden jerked and I was almost in an accident. I immediately took it down to my mechanic and he stated that the control arm of the vehicle was bad. I did replace all four tires and got an alignment prior to this happening. Now,this was the most serious incident. I purchased this vehicle in 2022.
... I have had nothing but problems with it. The first two months I had it. I had to replace the mass airflow sensor not only once but twice. Then a couple months later the serpentine belt went out, replaced that, then of course it goes out again 6th months later. Replaced again!. In addition to that I have had several electrical issues, I think I replaced more tail lights, fog lights, and headlights on this vehicle than all my previous vehicles put together and I have owned many. The engine makes a funny sound every time I accelerate, I have yet to diagnose that one. The fuel door spring busted which results in my check engine light always on, the visor broke and won't stay up, had to replace that. I have been through 4 sets of tires since I purchased it. I only live a mile from work, I don't put a lot of miles on the vehicle. I have a disabled wife and I need reliable transportation. I have spent thousands of dollars to fix this car and the problems keep coming. I've almost spent more money on it than the car payment and insurance for 3 years. There is definitely something wrong with this vehicle and I think Nissan corporation should be held liable.Read more

The frame on my 2006 Toyota Tundra SR5 has severe corrosion and multiple areas of rust perforation despite being treated under Toyota’s Limited Service Campaign D0D in 2015. During that campaign, the dealer removed the bed, documented active rust on the frame, cleaned it, and applied Corrosion-Resistant Compound (CRC) to key areas as the preventative remedy. As documented in multiple repairs the
... corrosion was already advancing at the time the CRC was applied, the steering shaft boot was replaced the same day as the compound was put on at 93,822 miles, several other critical safety failure shortly after; the brake pivots seized at 94900, Rotors rust pitted at 99537, bumper had perforations at 109407, 1 brake line from master cylinder and 1 brake line from ABS actuator leaking near the junction block on L/S of the frame at 113422, 52 days later the shift cable was broken at 114904. The current perforation and delamination indicate that the D0D remedy failed to prevent structural degradation as intended. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The vehicle’s structural integrity is severely compromised, creating a risk of frame failure while driving. This puts my safety and the safety of others at risk due to potential loss of control or component separation. The problem has not yet been inspected by the dealer in its current condition but has been escalated to Toyota Corporate. I have attached the communications with them. The truck has been fully serviced through Toyota since new, with the last documented service in January 2021. There were no warning lamps or dashboard messages prior to the failure.
