I am filing a complaint regarding my 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan (VIN: [XXX] ). Leased December 2025. My vehicle has been unusable since January 2026 following an accident because Volkswagen has been unable to supply a necessary replacement suspension strut required to complete repairs. The vehicle remains in a repair facility solely due to this part being on extended backorder. This is a critical sus
... pension component that directly impacts vehicle safety and drivability. Despite repeated attempts to obtain updates, Volkswagen has failed to provide a clear timeline for when the part will be available. As a consumer, I am continuing to make payments on a new leased vehicle that I cannot use because the manufacturer cannot provide essential replacement parts within a reasonable timeframe. I believe this raises concerns regarding parts availability for safety-related vehicle components on new model vehicles. I am requesting that this issue be documented and reviewed. The transmission has always been rough. It has now gone out at 75,000 miles. This transmission issue really seemed to get worse about 50,000 miles. But when I called the dealer, they said they were backed up and couldn't get to it for 9-12 weeks (Covid excuses at that point). Then, it really had an issue going down a large grade into [XXX] . But the issues seemed fairly intermittent. I had an inde

I began to notice some occasional loss of the steering with violent shakes - the death wobble - and once in the rain down a street with potholes which seemed to agitate the car further. I made an appointment to get the car checked and took it into the dealership. At that time, the tech mentioned that there was a recall out - which I had seen in the mail before - and asked if I wanted to get the
... update - I said yes. I believe the “Check Engine” was also blinking at that time so I also asked them to check that. After that, the vehicle was in the shop for 2 weeks without a clear diagnosis before the tech reached out and told me the car was “inoperable”. After communicating with the engineers and getting support from management, the car was still inoperable for over 2 months. At that point the tech asked me to contact Chrysler to file a claim to help him make sure it kept moving. (Please note that I found this bizarre and I hope any reasonable person in a similar situation would as well. 😨) A few days later, they told me the car was ready for me to pick up! I do not have a technical background and do not fully understand the issue, but the tech told me there was an issue with the vehicle sensor software which clashed with the recall and caused the vehicle to stop responding. As a fix, they uninstalled the sensor software and then reinstalled it after the recall update. Any future software update may cause the vehicle to crash and considering there is a third recall on this issue so far with out a proper fix, it is highly probably that there will be subsequent recalls/updates which will crash the car. At that time, I will have no recourse.Read more

Nissan had a recall 2 years ago for a tie rod issue. When I brought the car in for that recall Nissan said that the tie rods showed no sign of bending so they didn't replace them. Two years later my car is not steering correctly and making noises. I find out that Nissan has a new tie rod recall (recall R23B3, NHTSA #23V-581) that requires the tie rods to be changed regardless if they show any sign
... of bending or damage. I bring my car in to have this completed (2 years from the first recall) and they are telling me the power steering rack has to be replaced as well as the tie rods. The issue is Nissan now knows that by not replacing the tie rods two years ago it's damaging the power sterring rack but they will not acknowledge it as they don't want to pay the additional cost for the power sterring rack. I spoke to Nissan USA consumer affairs and they are taking a hard line on this. It's dangerous as the car dealership service department was going to let me drive my car after the tie rod replacement knowing the power steering rack was also damaged until I pressed the actual technician that worked on the car and he said it's dangerous to drive. Nissan must be reponsible for replacing all the damage caused by not making it mandatory to replace the tie rods in the first recall two years ago. The cost to replace the power steering rack is $3000 and they don't want to pay for that.Read more

Mechanic showed me that the front right coil spring was broken as part of the strut, and both rear coil springs were also snapped. The rear spring pieces "screwed" up into themselves and it was actually difficult to see the snapped section. Motorcycle has exhibited unstable handling behavior since delivery. The defect is specifically a weaving and wobbling oscillation that occurs when the motorcycle is upright and traveling in a straight line, as if the bike is constantly riding on rippled or uneven pavement even on smooth road surfaces. The rear of the motorcycle feels disconnected from the chassis, with the rear tire feeling as tho
... ugh it is not tracking with the front. The instability is present at all speeds but becomes pronounced and consistent at approximately 40 mph and above. Critically, the defect occurs only when the motorcycle is upright. The instability is not present during cornering or while braking — the bike feels stable when leaned over or under deceleration. The weaving and wobbling are confined to straight-line, upright riding. The defect is present: •In all ride modes (Road, Rain, Dynamic, Dynamic Pro) •Both loaded and unloaded •With top case and panniers fitted — no difference observed •On and off throttle •On smooth pavement with no road-surface contribution The instability is not consistent with normal motorcycle dynamics and is not corrected by tire pressure adjustment, rider input, or ride mode selection. Dealer interaction: Original selling dealer was non-responsive to handling complaints. Motorcycle is scheduled for diagnostic evaluation at a second BMW Motorrad dealership on June 1, 2026. BMW Motorrad USA customer relations case has been opened [case number if available]. Safety concern: Sustained weaving and wobbling instability at highway speeds while traveling upright on a motorcycle creates a significant crash risk, particularly during straight-line highway riding, lane changes, or in crosswinds. My 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is subject to NHTSA Recall 25V-514 (Manufacturer Recall D019), issued August 8, 2025, which remains unresolved as of today. Subject: Formal Safety Complaint – Structural Manufacturing Defect – 2021 VW Atlas Cross Sport (VIN: [XXX] ) To the NHTSA and Volkswagen Customer CARE: I am formally reporting a significant safety hazard regarding my 2021 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport. Incident Details: Incident Date: 05/07/2026 Current Mileage: 76,305 miles VIN: [XXX] Supporting Documentation: See attached files image.png
... and image_2.png. Description of the Problem (Per Certified Technician): As documented in the attached invoice from Vacaville Volkswagen (image.png), the vehicle was brought in for a "steering concern" involving clunking noises and swaying at freeway speeds. After a test drive and inspection, the technician found: The left front control arm front bolt was loose. Three other bolts were not tightened to specification. The noise and instability were caused by the resulting movement of the control arm. The Issue: While the dealership identified the improperly secured hardware and torqued all bolts and nuts to specification, they declined to cover the repair under warranty or recall, resulting in a labor charge of $230.00. Loose and under-torqued structural bolts on a control arm are not maintenance or "wear and tear" items; they represent a critical manufacturing and assembly failure. This component is vital to the vehicle's steering and suspension geometry. Evidence of a Systematic Issue: This defect directly mirrors several existing Volkswagen safety recalls for the Atlas line involving improperly torqued chassis and suspension hardware, such as Recall 42HX and Recall 40R7. It is clear that my 2021 model was impacted by the same production lapses identified in these adjacent recalls. Requested Action: For the NHTSA: I request that this incident be documented to investigate whether the scope of current suspension recalls should be expanded to include the 2021 model year. For Volkswagen USA: I am requesting a goodwill reimbursement of $230.00. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5Read more

I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding the failure of Land Rover and its authorized dealership network to complete Safety Recall D019 involving the front suspension knuckle crack on my 2015 Range Rover Sport. I received the official recall notice in September 2025. The recall concerns a serious safety defect involving the front suspension system, which presents a substantial risk of
... loss of vehicle control, crash, injury, or worse. Despite the seriousness of this defect and the passage of many months, the required repair has still not been completed. Since receiving the notice, I have repeatedly contacted the dealership from which I purchased the vehicle, as well as representatives associated with the manufacturer, seeking to schedule the repair. Each time, I have been met with delays, conflicting information, and excuses regarding parts availability. Most recently, I was informed that “tariffs” are allegedly responsible for the inability to provide the replacement parts. This explanation is unacceptable. Federal safety recalls are intended to protect consumers from dangerous defects, and manufacturers have a legal obligation to provide timely remedies once a recall has been issued. It is unreasonable and unsafe for consumers to continue operating vehicles subject to a known suspension defect for months without access to the necessary repair. I am requesting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigate the ongoing delays associated with Recall D019 and determine whether Land Rover is meeting its obligations under federal motor vehicle safety laws. I also ask that appropriate enforcement action be considered as the manufacturer has to provide an adequate and timely remedy to affected vehicle owners. This situation has caused significant frustration and concern as this i my families only vehicle. No vehicle owner should be left indefinitely waiting for repairs related to a serious safety recall.Read more

This is the second major warranty visit. - While stopped at a stoplight, my family and I heard a loud bang from the rear of the vehicle. The rear was visibly sagging after this. I verified with my mechanic that the driver's side rear spring coil had broken. - A broken rear spring makes the vehicle more apt for rollover when stopping quickly and puts more strain on the shocks. Not safe to drive. - Not confirmed by the dealer as I was unwi

The vehicle has been taken to Tesla multiple times due to ongoing controllability and safety concerns. The Autopilot system will occasionally brake unexpectedly at green lights or when another vehicle is passing on the right side. The vehicle has also experienced repeated drivetrain issues, including the half shafts failing at least four times within a short period. During acceleration, the vehic
... le can be difficult to control at times, and the wheels exhibit noticeable vibration. Despite replacing two full sets of tires within two years and completing multiple balancing and service attempts, the issue has not been resolved. These ongoing problems have contributed to premature tire wear and reduced stability, particularly in wet or rainy driving conditions. The vehicle has been serviced by Tesla at least 10 times, and each visit has resulted in replacement of half shafts or other drivetrain components. At one point, Tesla indicated that the drive module was “off center,” though no clear explanation was provided. These issues have been present since the vehicle was purchased in May 2024. In several instances, the vehicle was returned after service without the problem being resolved, requiring additional return visits. More recently, Tesla has suggested the issue may be related to tires and wheels. However, this contradicts earlier assurances that those components were not the root cause. All tires and two wheels have already been replaced, yet the same issues continue to occur. Months go by without any resolution and then when the tires go bad again, they tried to sell me on that when that never resolved the issue. They tried to force me to buy new tires and wheels for $8000 claiming that to be the issue. The main has fell twice in the last year and was replaced with a battery that was not of light kind. When the battery failed at a Tesla supercharger, the door would not open momentarily. I will estimate the date of the last service. Cannot open due to open ticketRead more

I am filing a safety complaint regarding a 2020 Lincoln Aviator Reserve VIN [XXX] involving recurring safety-related electrical and visibility concerns. The vehicle has experienced repeated service-related issues involving suspension systems, electrical inspections, camera/display concerns, and manufacturer customer satisfaction programs. Most significantly, the vehicle is subject to an active
... manufacturer safety recall involving the SYNC/rearview camera display system. The recall states that the rearview camera image and display may become inverted or flipped, impairing rear visibility and increasing crash risk. This defect directly impacts driver visibility and safe vehicle operation while reversing. The vehicle has undergone repeated dealership servicing and diagnostic evaluations, yet the broader operational and safety concerns remain unresolved. The vehicle was also sold as a Lincoln Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, creating reasonable reliance that the vehicle met enhanced inspection and safety standards. I believe the recurring nature of these defects, combined with the active recall and repeated repair activity, demonstrates a broader safety-related defect pattern warranting regulatory review and investigation. I have had this vehicle since about August 2025, the brakes and wheel bearings have failed twice, the strut failed, the power steering system has messed up repeatedly, the coolant came FLYING out of the car (while parked) FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON! There have been multiple warning lights on since I got the vehicle and I have been told they are just sensors from multiple mechanics and that they don'
... t mean anything. As it relates to the issues, the brakes, calipers, and wheel bearings have given out twice WHILE DRIVING without any sort of warning up until they seized! The strut on the front passenger side has broken for no known reason and the power steering system has been non stop eating power steering fluid with no leaks. Since I have gotten this vehicle, I have put OVER 7,000 dollars worth of work into it. This went to fixing the brake calipers, brakes, rotors, all the steering mechanisms (tie rods, sway bars, etc.) and wheel bearings twice, trying to figure out why coolant flew out of the vehicle for no known reason, trying to figure out where the power steering fluid is going, all to no avail. I have had multiple mechanics look at and check all the components of the vehicle, and they can't even figure out what is going on other than things just fail without warning non stop. There is something wrong with these vehicles, EVERY SINGLE OWNER OF A 2011 FORD FLEX THAT I HAVE SPOKEN TO HAS SAID THE SAME EXACT THING, THEY ARE DEALING WITH THE SAME EXACT ISSUES AS I AM, AND NO ONE KNOWS WHY! THESE VEHICLES NEED TO BE RECALLED AND A CHECK FOR THE PRICE OF A PERFECT 2011 FORD FLEX GIVEN TO EVERY 2011 FORD FLEX OWNER, THEN THEY NEED TO BE TAKEN OFF THE STREETS AS THEY ARE A DANGER TO THE PEOPLE DRIVING THEM AND ALL OTHER DRIVERS AS WELL AS PASSENGERS IN THE FLEX AND ANY OTHER VEHICLE! A 2011 FOR FLEX IN PERFECT CONDITION IS WORTH APPROXIMATELY $15,000, FORD SHOULD BE SUED FOR THIS! My vehicle is available for inspection when necessary, thank you!Read more

Rear Subframe rust, sudden excessive suspension instability and excessive vibration while driving. A “recall” issue in UK but not the US ??
Incident date: May 7, 2026
When we brought it in for first oil change at the dealership ; when we got it back it had a broken axle which they tried to say we just needed new tires , after contacting service manager and he and I go for a ride in it they kept it for several weeks and put over 300 miles on it and got ford engineering involved to determine the cause was broken axle. It has been replaced again since then suppos
... edly by a recall but it feels like it is broken again ! Ford took some shortcuts and used inferior parts, infrastructure etc , we had tremendous problems with the battery to which they said their shouldn’t be any reason for this be happening loss of power loss of electrical display and distribution finally I just had to replace the battery on my own because they refused to accept responsibility 4-6 months later a recall for the batteries was issued. The axles on the truck are not sufficient and they are not taking care of it properly! I would also like to report that they cut so many corners on the Maverick that the tailgate just drops no shock absorber nothing just slams on the bumper very dangerous! & They also chose to leave many open” holes” where mud rocks , leaves etc get into the front quarter panels from the hood area at the corner of windshield . So this wet material gets trapped in there n I’m sure will eventually affect the structural integrity of the panel - maybe rust through! Same thing happens with the tailgate fills with debris from bed , rear wheel wells also have a whole. I just wish ford would go back to how Henry Ford ran the company ! Help NHTSARead more
