The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Rav4. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 13V383000 (Suspension) in 2015. The contact stated that in 2015 while driving at an undisclosed speed, the low tire pressure warning light illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to a tire dealer, and it was determined that the rear tires were worn and needed to be replaced. The con
... tact replaced all four tires. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that in 2020 the low tire pressure and the traction control warning light illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to another tire dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the rear tires were worn and needed to be replaced. The contact was advised that the rear tires could not be aligned because of the rear suspension arms, that was causing the quick wear of the tires. The vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was taken to a tire dealer in 2024 and observed that the low tire pressure and traction control warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was shaking while driving at various speeds prior to the warning lights being illuminated. The contact was informed that the rear tires could not be aligned due to a failure with the rear suspension arms. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and advised the contact to take the vehicle to a dealer. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer who aligned the front wheels, but the rear tires could not be aligned. The contact informed the dealer about NHTSA Campaign Number: 13V383000 (Suspension) and was informed that the recall had been completed. The failure mileage was approximately 86,000.Read more

Rear right hand lower suspension control arm broke in half, after further inspection it looks to have been separated from its original factory form which then cause uneven load on the arm causing it to fracture in half. The factory form separation seems to have been ongoing for unknown time due to surface rust is visible at the factory mold separation, where it snapped in half there is no surface

Fortunately it happened when I was only moving the vehicle to make space for another, the broken arm cause the wheel to turn to the right as if it was making a right hand turn and I can't imagine if it would have happened while driving in the city of even worse on the freeways... It would be a certain crash and safety for us and those driving around us. Rear subframe rusted out at only 85,000 miles
Incident date: May 22, 2025
Was driving my 2012 Honda CRV home from the store when the AWD light came on. By the time I got it home another light came on EPS. When I got out I noticed the drivers side rear tire looked tilted. Upon further inspection I could see that the control arm had fallen down along with the whole trailing arm from rust. After investigating I learned that there was a recall for this exact thing but only
... for 2007-2011 models. I called Honda and they told me to get it to a Honda dealership for diagnosis report so I haf it towed there. They said that if ut were the same issue as the recall that they could make an exception after a case manager reviewed everything. The Honda dealership documented that the rust on the underrails of the frame were critical for the overall integrity and safety of the car and that the control arms were rusted and broken through. When I sent everything to Honda, they said that since my vin was not part of the recall there was nothing they would do for me. There are many more complaints regarding this exact issue for the 2012 models and something needs done before lives are lost. My daughter and I were leaving for a trip the next morning and had I not decided to take my car to the store the night before we would have been on the interstate when the trailing arm and control arm broke and fell which would have been catastrophic while driving at interstate speed, from what I understand. I have only had my 2012 Honda CRV for 3 months and it only has 120k miles on it. These models need a recall ASAP as they are extremely dangerous!Read more

The car started making a very annoying squeak from the left rear when going over bumps or entering and exiting the car. I took it to my local mechanic to investigate the problem. He discovered the rear suspension sub-frame was rusted out where it attaches to the car body. I was advised that the car was unsafe and should not be driven. I am awaiting more information from my mechanic about the repai

Vehicle Information: 2014 Tesla Model S VIN: [XXX] Incident Date: [XXX] Component Affected: Suspension / Air Suspension / Ride Height Control Problem Description: On [XXX], while driving, my 2014 Tesla Model S suddenly raised itself to and/or beyond maximum ride height without any driver input. Immediately afterward, the front driver-side suspension collapsed completely, leaving the vehicle u
... nsafe to operate. This appears to be an uncommanded overinflation event caused by Tesla’s suspension control system. It is not normal wear but a manufacturer-induced malfunction. If this failure had occurred at highway speeds, it could have caused catastrophic loss of control. The collapse of a suspension system without warning is a serious safety defect. Tesla’s service center in Moraine, OH, has refused to review the vehicle logs (which would confirm this sequence of failure) and has instead classified the incident as a standard part failure. As a result, Tesla is attempting to push full financial liability onto the owner instead of addressing what is clearly a safety-critical defect. Safety Concern: A sudden, uncommanded suspension height change followed by collapse could lead to total loss of vehicle control and a crash. This poses an ongoing risk to both Tesla drivers and the public. Requested Action: I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this failure mode as a safety defect in Tesla Model S vehicles and require Tesla to address these failures appropriately. Please advise or help Nissan make this right to keep our streets and cars safe while on the road. I need to gather all documents from places I've gone in for these very same issues of recalls shown. Financially this has been a burden investing in a used car to just have to fix right away with these same exact issues of recalls listed but to say our vehicle was not affected by those recalls is ridiculous it's obvious I been dealing with the same exact issues. Please help. Thank you for listening and hopefully you can help make a difference with this safety issue. Vehicle Shipped in Unsafe Driving Condition I purchased this vehicle from Cars2us with a clear understanding that the vehicle was in good working order. I paid $500 for shipping along with $3,000 cash down. I purchased it from out of state so I had to have the vehicle shipped to my work site. When I received the vehicle off the trailer, it was borderline underivable due to the rack and pinion and
... power steering system being faulty. I immediately contacted the dealer and he agreed to have it repaired and advised me to “take it to a mechanic you trust”! I did so and the mechanic called me to inform me that the manager of the dealership tried to convince him to put junkyard parts on the vehicle to fix it. The mechanic was infuriated and insulted by this and advised me to contact an attorney. I paid the full amount for the repairs totaling over $2,000 because he did a job he was asked to do and rightly deserved to be paid for doing so. The mechanic and I tried multiple times to contact him for repayment and he has not paid nor responded. I have all of our conversations and will happily attach them to this email. I’m furious because the vehicle was knowingly shipped to me in an extremely dangerous condition and I was forced to drive it to my house 13 miles away as well as the mechanic shop another 6 miles. I emailed the Attorney General of Virginia and reported the incident. It’s my goal to protect other customers from experiencing this kind of behavior and treatment. I got this car a Hyundai sonata 2004 about 2 to 3 years ago. January 10, 2025, at low city speed, I struck a small pothole. The entire car felt like it had been in an accident—a violent jolt—followed by immediate vibration and a pull. Inspection showed one OEM 18" rim was bent. I contacted Mazda after diagnosing and was offered a slight discount on the replacement rim, not a warranty repair or full diagnosis. I have the bent rim in my possession. Jul
... y 2025, at low speed, I barely contacted another small pothole and immediately felt the same drivability issues. A second rim was found damaged. This was only 4,500 miles after the first incident. I called the dealership manager; he said he would get back to me but never did. I later sent a letter that went unanswered. My subsequent research shows innumerable similar owner complaints for 2020–2025 Mazda 3s experiencing rim deformation from ordinary road irregularities. Why this is a safety issue (technical points): Bead-seat deformation & air loss: A bent alloy rim can distort the bead seat, causing slow leaks or sudden deflation, especially after heat cycles—creating a loss-of-control risk. Dynamic instability: A rim that’s even slightly out-of-round produces high-frequency vibration, steering pull, and reduced traction in turns or under braking; it can trigger ABS/ESC interventions and increase stopping distance. Load path & suspension stress: The 18" low-profile package leaves little sidewall cushion. On normal bumps/potholes, impact energy transfers directly to the wheel. Repeated “bottom-out” events may damage shocks/struts, alignment, and tires, compounding instability. Repeatability & foreseeability: Two events under ordinary use within a short interval indicate a systemic integrity problem, not random abuse. Requested resolution: A no-cost remedy: (1) replace all rims/tires with more durable parts and inspect/repair suspension; or (2) provide comprehensive wheel/tire protection and repair damaged rim; or (3) exchange he vehicle for a comparable model with no issueRead more

Subject: Safety Complaint – 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer – Multiple Safety-Critical Failures and Warranty Concerns. I am the owner of a 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer (purchase price $114,000 USD), well maintained and currently with 41,000 miles. Despite careful use, it has developed multiple recurring electrical and mechanical failures that present serious safety risks: •Parking and side sensors fai
... l, making obstacle and blind-spot detection unreliable. •Rear-view camera often shows a solid blue screen in reverse, leaving no rear visibility. •Main display flickers, freezes, or shuts off; infotainment reboots while driving, disabling controls. •Entire electronic system resets mid-drive, affecting safety features. •Power liftgate fails to open. •Air suspension changes height on its own, affecting handling and stability. While the basic 36,000-mile warranty has expired, the vehicle still has a 60,000-mile powertrain warranty. Many of these failures involve safety-critical systems that should be addressed without cost to the owner. I recently brought the vehicle to an authorized Jeep dealer, who charged $1,399 USD just for diagnostics instead of addressing them under warranty or goodwill. These issues are widely reported by other 2022 Grand Wagoneer owners, suggesting systemic defects. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate promptly, require Jeep/Stellantis to issue recalls where necessary, provide a permanent fix, and ensure dealers address safety-related defects regardless of basic warranty expiration.Read more

I put the trust of my pregnant wife into these tires and she complained to me about a wallowing car ride with a decrease in handling, especially over bumps and on the highway. I could not see an issue. A few days later she informed me of a tire pressure indicator on the dashboard. It indicated tow low rear tires. Upon inspecting the tires I found both sides with a decoupled sidewall. Driver side being far worse than passenger. I immediately drove to Discount tire and the tire pressure sank from 26psi to 8psi in less than 4 miles. This could have proved fatal for my wife and unborn child on the highway. The tire company and the stores dont want to accept accountability. The stores just want to sell more tires. I am having them replaced at a cost of $610 per tire. Thats equaling to almost $3000 spent on tires in 7-8 months. Please investigate this matter. This is a defect. Not wear. The vehicle previously had Falken tires that lasted 24000 miles with smooth and even treadwear. No issues, no defects.Read more

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S T2 295/30R/21 102Y. These tires are engineered by Michelin specifically for a Tesla Model S 2022+ hence the T2 mark. These are a second generation as the previous ones were a T1. Everything is supposed to be factored in by Michelin to cater to the vehicles specifications and needs. I bought a set of 4 of these mentioned tires brand new from Discount Tire. In less 10000 mi

To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this letter to formally report a safety-related defect involving my leased Infiniti vehicle, serviced at Edison Infiniti in New Jersey on August 1, 2025. Despite reporting excessive tire wear and a persistent pull to the right, the dealership concluded that the alignment was within factory specifications and attributed the damage solely to a lack of tire rot
... ation. Based on this assessment, I paid out of pocket for a wheel alignment and replacement tires. However, the condition of the removed front tires tells a different story. The tires show extreme treadwear down to the internal cords, a clear indication of prolonged misalignment or defective suspension geometry. This level of degradation is not consistent with normal wear and tear on a vehicle with fewer than 17,000 miles. It compromised steering control and posed a serious safety risk, making it difficult to maintain lane position and safe handling. I believe this issue may reflect a broader defect in alignment or suspension geometry that could affect other vehicles of the same make and model. I have attempted resolution through the dealership and Infiniti Consumer Affairs without success. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this issue as a potential safety defect and advise on next steps.Read more
