During normal driving on Sat Sep 27 2025, unusual noises started to come from the front left wheel. There were no warning lamps or messages, and no indication of issues prior to onset of the noise. I had the vehicle towed to a Tesla Service Center the following day. Tesla's technicians found that the front lateral link bolt on the left hand side had backed out and fallen out of the subframe. They
... determined that the cause was related to improper torque specification or application of the original bolt. They reached this conclusion in part because the passenger side lateral link to subframe bolts were also under-torqued. Rear bolts were not affected. Tesla has replaced the front lateral links on both sides with new bolts. There was no vehicle accident or damage, so there has been no involvement or inspection by police or insurance. It is fortunate that this issue began when the vehicle was traveling at low speed, and that I chose to have the vehicle towed to the service center rather than driving it. The bolt has loosened when the noise started, and finally fell out at the service center. Had I been driving at highway speeds when the bolt fell out, I could have lost control of the car and injured myself and others. Online research suggests this is not an isolated incident for this model of car.Read more

The shocks on my 2022 Hyundai Palisade are defective. I had both shocks and the absorbers replaced the first time at 44,349 miles on 5/31/25. I had the driver side rear shock and absorber replaced again at 46,567 miles on 7/24/25. I am having the same driver side rear shock replaced again at 48,484 miles on 10/3/25. Defective shocks are a safety hazard by increasing stopping distance and reducing
... traction in inclement weather conditions. They also cause uneven wear on my tires, which reduces traction, too. My vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This is a well known problem that Hyundai has failed to correct. I believe they are just making repairs as necessary until the vehicle is no longer under warranty. I have the receipts from the dealer for each repair.Read more

The vehicle has loud creaking and groaning noises when turning the wheel at low speed or at a standstill, I’ve taken it to a Tesla service center where they claimed that this is just a characteristic of the vehicle yet I myself and a mechanic and understand that the fundamentals of suspension are the same regardless of what type of vehicle it may be and know that this is actually a known issue w
... ith Teslas especially with Model 3s. My vehicle is at 10,683 miles and still within the warranty, on Friday, September 26 at 8 AM. I dropped off my vehicle for repairs later that day at around 1645 or as known as 4:45 PM. I was messaged saying that my vehicle is ready for pick up as I read the service notes, I saw that they did not do any repair on my suspension. This is concerning to me because this is a safety issue and I highly believe that the vehicle needs to be repaired. The service center is located in Santa Clarita, California.Read more

Front suspension creaking noise, took in for service, techs ultimately found the front subframe captive welded nuts that secure the front links had sheared off, requiring a replacement of the subframe and some other suspension components. Nuts, which were initially welded to the subframe during assembly, were loose on both sides. No associated damage or impact, normal use over 7 years of ownership

I was driving to Kansas on a road trip and we stopped for gas when we noticed the rear drivers side tire tilting inwards (top of tire angled towards the car). We then drove it to a mechanic in Kansas to see if it is safe to drive further. She noticed the bolt for the rear suspension loose and almost out entirely. She then told us we could not drive the car any further because a few more bumps and
... the bolt would fall out and create major safely concerns. She also noted that she could see where the bolt was rubbing on the rear suspension sub-plate and could see the old rusted damage along with the new damage from recent driving. She also noted the uneven wear on the tire with the tread worn significantly more on the inner side of the tire. We towed it to Denver to have it looked at and the said the bolt and nut need to be replaced along with a tire alignment. There were no warning signs other than my car felt more bouncy than normal. The car bolt has been replaced but you can inspect the surrounding damage if needed. Both the safety of the people in my vehicle and those around me would have been at risk if we didn't notice the tilt and continued the road trip.Read more

I have a 2005 hyundai elantra that the front and rear subframe/ suspension crossmembers are completely rotted out. There is a safety recall that I found online for 2003 elantras for this same problem, but I can't seem to find anything for a 2005 model. They are the same body style and it's the same exact crossmember used on these years. Hyundai knew there was an issue and they never fixed it for t
... he 2005 model year. The rear crossmember rotted right through on mine and the back tires almost fell off of the car. Luckily I was right down the road from my house when it happened. After I replaced the rear crossmember, I noticed that the front was just as bad and there's a Crack and as soon as I pushed on it with my fingers, they went right through the metal and now there's a baseball sized rust hole right by the lower control arms on both sides of the front suspension crossmember. The car has just over 100,000 miles and now it's not drivable. There are dozens of reports online with people reporting the same exact issue. Myself or another driver could have been killed if this happened on the highway. The body is in nice shape on the car, so it's not like the whole car is rusted out. I looked for a new crossmember on multiple elantras in the junkyard and they all have the same issue, the body's are in good shape but both crossmembers are completely rotted away. This was an issue that hyundai had a recall on and never fixed for this year. There are many of these models still on the road that are an accident waiting to happen as well. Apparently from what I've read, the crossmembers and control arms never had any drain holes in them and they would rot from the inside out. Here's a link to the same issue for the 2003 year. I'll upload pictures of the crossmember and the underside of the car showing that the car isn't all rusted out, it's just the crossmembers. When driving from West Hartford to Westerly on June 3, serious banging started coming from the left rear undercarriage. The service manager relayed that he had never heard of a broken spring on a vehicle with these few miles, but the certified warranty coverage expired in August 2024. He recommended I contact Honda Customer Service as this failure appeared to warrant consideration due to its rarity and severity. Honda Customer Service responded by agreeing to cover damage for only half the incurred cost because we didn't bring it to a Honda dealership, despite doing that would have constituted a severe driving safety exposure. Their acknowledgement indicates that this may be evidence of faulty manufacturing of the spring which would appear to warrant NHTSA review and assessment. My 2018 Chrysler Pacifica has ongoing electrical problems that match the same symptoms described in existing recalls, but my VIN is not included in those campaigns. The issues began around 08/30/22. The vehicle has experienced stalling, electrical shutdown, dashboard warning lights, loss of power steering issues, failure of the start-stop system, dead batteries, loud creaking, popping, squeaking n
... oises from the front suspension, especially when turning, backing up, steering lock, or going over bumps. These events began in 2021 and continue despite numerous repairs at mechanics and dealerships. Despite repairs and inspections, the problems continue. I have reviewed NHTSA recalls and found recall numbers 18V524000, 20V334000, 19V143000 as well as battery ground recall for 2017–2019 models, and my vehicle’s problems are identical to those safety issues. The dealer confirmed that my VIN is not covered, so I have been responsible for repair costs. These defects create a serious safety hazard, especially when the vehicle stalls or loses power while driving. It places my family and other drivers at risk of a crash. We have been stranded on highways and in the center of busy intersections due to loss of power. I strongly request that NHTSA investigate whether the existing recalls should be expanded to include additional VIN ranges, since many 2018 Pacifica owners (myself included) are experiencing the same electrical failures. I have had the vehicle inspected/repaired on: 4/15/21, 9/15/22, 10/2/23, 11/22/23, 8/10/24, 7/21/25, 8/7/25, 9/23/25 for battery ground, electrical module replacement, wiring repair, and strut repairs. The component that failed was the steering damper. This results in the vehicle violently shaking at freeway speeds after hitting a bump. This is the 5th time that it has been taken in for the same issue. The component has failed 4 times since I got the car 3 years ago. I have taken the car to the dealership 5 times for the same issue. The first time I brought the car in for the issue, they replaced several parts, but not the steering damper. Within a month I brought the car back in for the same issue. Each time since then, they have replaced the steering damper along with other parts (Invoices will be attached to this report with part names and numbers). Especially when it is being said right off the alignment rack: "we only want to see a .5 degree for the toe and camber. This Honda is maxed out and will not move away from that 1.25 degree mark." There is such a thing as adjustable upper control arms to prevent the premature wear of tires.Read more

I was travelling back home at about 65mph on the highway in my 2018 ford f250 crew cab and my left front wheel hit a small bump in the road. The whole truck started to shake violently and I couldn't hold the steering wheel as it was also shaking uncontrollably. I thought at first that I had had a puncture but the truck wasn't leaning as such. The wheels where simply shaking from side to side very
... fast. I hit the hazard lights and gently brakes down to about 30 mph, pulled over to the side of the ride gently to avoid the risk of flipping over and stopped. When I started up again, the wobbling had stopped. I later looked up the.probable cause and learned about the (infamous) death wobble which several people have experienced. It was truly scary as everything was shaking and I couldn't control the steering wheel. If it would have happened on a bend I would have gone straight over and flipped the truck as I wouldn't have been able to slow down in a straight line to stop the wobbling and shaking... This is a very serious issue that needs to be addressed as people will die...Read more

My GX550 is vibrating at all speeds. I took my GX550 in for service on [XXX] at Butler Lexus in Union City, GA, because of the vibration in my GX. They did a wheel alignment and a force road wheel balancing but this did not solve the problem. On September 3, 2025 I took my GX550 to Discount Tires in Douglasville, GA, where they took off all the old weight including the new ones that were added
... by Butler Lexus. I found no improvement as I drove home. I took my GX550 back to Discount Tires, I asked them to check the tires and wheels. I was informed by one of the tech at Discount Tires that the my wheels are marginally out of round and I should let Lexus know to check the suspension. I was told by Butler Lexus service department that Discount Tires was grasping at straws. I spoke with Lexus Corporate September 19, 2025, they informed me that Butler Lexus Service department informed me that my vehicle is suppose to operate with vibrations, that could felt in the steering wheel and seats. I asked for someone from Lexus to come out and inspect the vehicle. At first I was told that Lexus doesn’t do that. Then I was told she would check into it. Also Lexus never addressed the the transmission hard shifts that I reported. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

The Rear Subframe on this vehicle is rusted and has hole in it. The sub frame requires replacement. The sub frame was inspected by the Mercedes-Benz Dealership, Euro Motorcars in Germantown, MD and they recommended that the sub frame should be replaced. There is an extended warranty that has been issued by Mercedes-Benz for the Model Year and Model (2008-2015 C-Class Sedan/Coupe). However, M
... ercedes-Benz decline to cover the cost of the repair stating that my VIN is not part of that Warranty. This is a well documented safety issue and I believe that Mercedes-Benz should include my VIN in that extended warranty and replaced the subframe on my car.Read more
