While driving at both high speeds (highway) and local road speed limits, Toyota Tacoma's rear passenger side frame split completely in half. While performing maneuvers such as right turns, vehicle wobbled and I, driver, lost temporary control of vehicle. Upon further inspection, rear driver side frame also contains stress fractures which are symmetric to the rear passenger side of truck. Pote
... ntial for accident has increased exponentially. Pictures provided. Brought evidence of clear safety hazard to local Metro Detroit dealership at 773 S Rochester Rd Unit B, Rochester Hills, MI 48307 on 04NOV25, and called Toyota Corporate on 05NOV25. Toyota Corporate neglected my concerns about safety hazard and potential harm to myself and family. Safety recall needs to be issued immediately. This issue stems from a well known recall from Toyota of Toyota Tacoma's, 1996-2004, which contained an OEM defect of excessive corrasion to the frames, causing premature failure of the frames due to excessive rust build up which impacts frame integrity and increases probability of failures such as observed in my case.Read more

The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure, and that the wear on the tires were normal. The contact stated that the wear was noticeable to the extent that the tread was almost worn on the passenger’s side front tire at 12,000 miles. The contact stated that the tires were the original equipment and were rated at 30,000 miles of service. The OEM tires were Falken Wild Peak A/T 3WA; Tire Size 265/60/R20 112H: DOT 1V40H. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The contact replaced the original tires with Bridgestone Tires; Tire Size: 265/60/R20; DOT Number: 17XEDHT1. The contact stated that the dealer had mounted the tires and balanced and aligned the steering wheel. The contact stated that the steering failures with the vehicle steering to the right persisted. The contact checked the tires and had taken the vehicle to a tire dealer to check the alignment and the tire condition and was advised that the new tires were showing wear, and that the vehicle was not properly aligned. The vehicle was not repaired. The original dealer was contacted, and the contact was informed that no assistance would be provided. Numerous defects in my 2024 Honda Civic Sport. I leased this vehicle in January 2024 for 36 months (with a $4,675 down payment and $284.62 monthly payments). From early in the lease, the car has been plagued with serious problems. Below is a chronological list of the issues my vehicle has experienced: Gearbox replacement – Feb 3, 2025 (12,792 miles): The vehicle’s transmission/gearbox failed
... catastrophically and was replaced under warranty. Axle boots replacement – Feb 19, 2025 (13,384 miles): Soon after, the front axle boots were found to be defective (leaking) and were replaced. Climate control panel failure (moisture damage) – Mar 6, 2025 (13,892 miles): The climate control and infotainment panel stopped functioning due to moisture intrusion and had to be replaced. Refusal to diagnose vibration issue – June 27, 2025 (18,116 miles): I reported a persistent and concerning vibration during driving (which could indicate an unresolved powertrain or suspension issue), but the dealership refused to perform a diagnostic or address it, returning the car to me without resolution. Steering wheel damage & falsified report – June 30, 2025: During a service visit, dealership personnel damaged the steering wheel and then provided a false report that inaccurately stated the damage was pre-existing, instead of taking responsibility. Ongoing audio system malfunctions – (continuing issue): The car’s audio system suffers from frequent USB/Bluetooth disconnections, which have persisted despite multiple service visits. The car's lane assist is triggered at random during drives almost causing several auto accidents. Every one of these issues is documented through repair orders and correspondence. I have maintained a file with all relevant service records, emails with the dealer (Honda of Van Nuys), and photographic evidence (such as photos of the steering wheel after the damage on June 30, 2025). Incident date: Sep 1, 2025
This vehicle is equipped with a chassis/suspension and drive train that makes it extremely difficult to control on the road. The vehicle wags when a vehicle passes it and it also has excessive movement when caught in a crosswind. The vehicle is rated to pull up to 8000lbs. I was pulling a Jeep Grand Cherokee that weighs about 5000lbs. If the Jeep moved right the Vacationer would jump left and
... when the Jeep went left the Vacationer would go right. This combination of the Vacationer movement with or without the Jeep requires excessive vigilance to keep the rig on the road. I have over 50 years of driving large vehicles including semi tractor trailers and other large RVs. This is the most uncontrollable vehicle I have ever driven. It requires constant inputs to counter body sway, drift and push by the towed vehicle. The vehicle is also severely under powered. It would slow to 20 miles per hour on many hills no matter how I approached hills. I tried revving the engine prior to entering a grade and manually shifting to try to maintain a reasonable speed. I found multiple postings on line for recalls on the Ford F-53 chassis describing these exact problems and some remedies to address part of these issues. This vehicle and others with this chassis and drive train are unsafe. I drove my brand new rig for about 4000 miles and reached a point where I do not want to drive it on the road. I feel unsafe. I had several times where the vehicle surged so quickly to right or left that it would have caused an accident. This drive train and chassis combination is found on several brands of motor homes and I have spoken with several people who have experienced similar issues as well as the on line posts. These vehicles pose a substantial risk on the road as they sway and jump in response to wind or they slow well belwo normal road speeds. These vehicles should be recalled.Read more

Both front tires on my 2023 Toyota GR Corolla have developed severe inner-edge wear down to the cords, while the rest of the tread remains in excellent condition. This occurred at approximately 14,000 miles. The wear pattern is symmetrical and isolated to the inner inch of both front tires, indicating that it is not the result of normal driving, impact, or neglect, but rather points to a factory a
... lignment or suspension geometry defect. I discovered the issue during a routine inspection and immediately stopped driving the vehicle for safety reasons. Tire wear exposing the cords poses a high risk of sudden tire failure or loss of steering control, especially at highway speeds. This appears to be a manufacturing or setup defect, as multiple other 2023 GR Corolla owners have reported the same pattern of premature inner-edge front tire wear on owner forums. The consistency of these reports suggests a systemic issue affecting vehicle safety. The vehicle is currently being evaluated at an authorized Toyota dealership, and the service department has communicated the concern to Toyota for review as a potential safety-related issue.Read more

My 2024 CR-V EX-L FWD has roughly 37,000 miles on it, and the tires have been rotated per Honda's built-in "Maintenance Minder". The inner shoulder of all four tires are worn to the extent that they need to be replaced. The rear suspension suffers from excessive negative camber; It is visually discernable upon approaching the vehicle from behind. I asked the service advisor at my local dealership
... in League City, TX, what they could do about it, since the rear camber is non-adjustable, and his response was that in situations like this, they recommend installation of aftermarket adjustable upper control arms. They, of course, do not install those parts, and, he even indicated that once those were installed, they would no longer perform any alignment of the vehicle. Additionally, that would void any warranty of any rear suspension components. I have since discovered Honda TSB 20-081 for 2017-2020 CRVs (https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10181080-0001.pdf). I know, via comparison of part numbers on honda parts websites, that 2017-2026 CR-V's all share many of the same rear suspension components. Therefore, I think this is a situation where there is an overarching issue in the suspension design used on the 5th and 6th generation CR-V (and therefore, also their contemporaries - Civic, Accord, HR-V, Clarity, and Acura Integra, which also share components with this design). Additionally, the rear of my CR-V looks to be 'sagging', and knowing how suspension geometry functions, it leaves me thinking that perhaps the springs specified for the FWD CR-V (at least) may be too short or have too light of a spring rate, permitting this 'sag', which would then not only result in more negative camber but also increase the toe measurements as well, which would also negatively affect tire life.Read more

I recently purchased a new Tesla Model Y (Juniper refresh). The vehicle has a loud clunking/creaking noise coming from the front suspension at low speeds, especially when driving over small bumps, turning into driveways, or when the road surface is uneven. ... rmed the noise and told me it is not caused by the damper assembly but is a known issue that Tesla’s engineering team is currently investigating. However, no permanent fix is currently available, and the issue has not been resolved. I am concerned that this may be related to a suspension component failure or premature wear that could impact steering stability or control over time. Since this affects a brand-new vehicle and others have reported similar symptoms online, I believe this should be monitored as a potential safety defect. I am requesting that NHTSA track this issue to ensure Tesla provides a proper correction and repair campaign if necessary.Read more
