2014 Audi rear subframe is rusted through. 92,000 Mi. My independent mechanic found the problem when performing suspension work. It has not been inspected by the dealer yet but will be soon. Can has been making a popping noise that can be felt in the steering wheel for 2 years. Honda has told me nothing was wrong after taking it in 4 times. Brake line is thoroughly corroded, went to a repair shop, when they brought it back down, the Subframe collapsed. Mercedes has a 20 yr warranty on the subframe so they will cover that but want another $3K to fix the brake line that was obviously tied to the same mfr issue that the sub frame was in regards to rusting. Dealer won't take any responsibility for anything but the subframe.

Rear shocks leaking and fail inspection. This was confirmed by both the dealer and independent service center. There were no warnings. This is the second time the same shocks have needed to be replaced. The first time they lasted 3 years, the second time two years. This is an endemic problem with these shocks affecting both the original and OEM replacement parts.

The rear struts are failed within a very short amount of mileage driven. Warrantied twice, but fail again after 20-30k miles. Safety concerned because boucy ride can result in lost of control when hitting bump in the corner. No warning lamps or messages appeared. However, clunking noise from the back.

Every time the vehicle proceeds over a speed bump or a dip in the road, it feels as if something is lose and banging in the steering and suspension of the vehicle. I have taken it to the dealer on numerous occasions, and they say they can never find anything wrong nor duplicate the issue. The frame is rotting through. It was on a lift for a new starter; this resulted in the frame bending. It will not pass inspection. Ford refuses to repair /replace the frame as it is past their 5 year rust warranty. The vehicle has only 15000 miles. It has never been immersed in fresh or saltwater. The undercarriage has been sprayed off regularly when driven in the winter.
