I purchased this 2020 Jeep Wrangler from SunToyota car dealership in Holiday, FL on [XXX]. There have been several ongoing concerning safety issues with this vehicle and the car dealership over the past year since I purchased it. My vehicle has had immediate malfunctions and service visits upon purchase. On 12/31/24, the car went to the shop for broken visor (as is) as listed on service invoice-
... during this same visit I explained that turn signals lights were not functioning properly- was told that it was too much labor and they are aftermarket lights that the dealership cannot fix- dealership did not attempt to rectify the issue at this time. Broken visor/turn signal lights did not function properly upon purchase of the vehicle. In February, the car had what is known as the “death wobble” on major highways [XXX] and [XXX] in Florida, which was an extremely dangerous experience for all passengers in the vehicle. Invoice from 2/27/25 reflects suspension concern in regards to “death wobble” that was rectified, but again highly unsafe, and vehicle is beginning to shake again at high speeds as of December 2025. Invoice from 10/19/25 highlights the turn signal malfunction once again (it was never fixed from previous visit after purchase of vehicle and continued over several months). Car was taken back to dealer. Received call on 11/11 stating it was ready, to receive another call on my way there stating another issue with lights arisen. Received call on 11/12 stating it’s ready again, service advisor not present, and ALL lights flickering severely worse. Spoke to executive director, Dylan, who stated “[XXX] things happen” and walked away. Vehicle stayed at dealership. (Invoice from 11/12 highlights the turn signal issue again.). Vehicle was returned to me on 11/28/25, where lighting and turn signals appeared to work properly. As of December 2025, the turn signals have malfunctions again. When I tried to get in contact with the dealership they didn't call back. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMRead more

Considering your experience of losing total control of the vehicle even while driving slowly while following a snowplow vehicle dispensing road deicer while plowing; I have a strong suspicion that his has happened in 2024 as well when the vehicle had registered a drive issue and the dealership found now existing reason for it. The compacted snow forms a large layer of snow and ice in the wheel we
... lls to the point that it is rubbing on the tires all around the wheel wells. As this icy snow hardens while the vehicle is parked; it is dangerous to drive on any road surface in this condition at any speed. While the danger was less in the past due to not driving to Cass Lake, Minnesota from Bemidji, Minnesota and back nearly every other day; it has become critical this winter because of the high increase in winter snowy road driving that you are currently doing. Even though doing Hemo-Dyalisis at home decreases the danger; this vehicle is at risk of suddenly going out of control during winter snowing highway driving conditions if ice and snow builds up around the tires where it can suddenly release and jam tires from turning. You need to be aware of the danger you place yourself and other motorists in if you are driving this Ford Fusion Energi while in these dangerous driving conditions. In the past I have seen the condition of ice and snow buildup in the front and rear wheel wells to the point that there is less than one half inch of clearance between the tires and the ice/snow buildup. I did not allow you to drive it that way until I had chopped and removed it from around the tires and wheel wells.Read more

My Id 4 Pro S has this problem more going back almost 3 years with 8k miles when first reported to the dealership and [XXX] [XXX], [XXX],[XXX]. The correspondences are there as proof. Dealership never fixed this issue or diagnoses this properly since it only happens in wet weather or rainy mist or rain. The issues is the front tires in the front wheel wells make a thumping sound when backing up an
... d moving forward with the wheels turned in any direction and a crunching sound with the car shaking. I am concerned for my safety and VW will not fix the issue. They had it twice in servicing, did not wet the underside to create the wet symptoms so they dismissed the issue. It does not rain much here and I presumed all the over the air updates and 2 day mega update leaving my vehicle would resolve the issue only to find out now with the new rain the problem is still there. This is a manufacturer defect and was reported when my vehicle was under full warranty . Now they are giving me excuses and wont address the problem or diagnose this properly and want to charge me for there manufacturers defect . I only have 22,675 miles on the vehicle now and it is garaged all the time so this is not from wear and tear since it occurred at 8000 miles and was reported twice before. I have multiple case numbers on this and VW will not take responsibility to fix this defect, and malfunction . They had stone walled me and passed this off as no issue. 2024 Toyota RAV4 XLE AWD, VIN [XXX]. Steering defect appeared at approximately 12,000 miles (April 2025). Vehicle pulls significantly to the right, requiring constant steering correction. Driver must continuously hold left side of steering wheel to maintain straight path. If steering wheel released, vehicle immediately drifts right. Pull is constant and especially noticeable at highway speeds. THR
... EE REPAIR ATTEMPTS FAILED: June 2025 (14,715 miles): Two wheel alignments performed same day - both failed to correct pull. November 2025 (16,091 miles): Replaced blown passenger rear shock absorber - pull persisted. December 2025 (16,819 miles): Performed 10+ wheel alignments. Toyota Corporate Technical Assistance filed case #53530239 and instructed ABS/SAS reset - failed. Technicians documented "rear suspension binding" but did not mechanically repair. SUSPECTED CAUSE: Strut mount bearing binding/failure or suspension binding. Dealership replaced shock but not strut mounts (industry best practice is replacing both together when shock fails at low mileage). Documented binding issue was not mechanically repaired - only software reset attempted. CURRENT STATUS: Vehicle unsafe to drive. 16,819 miles in two years. New rattling noise developed in right front dashboard after December repairs. This is a manufacturing defect appearing in first year at low mileage, not wear and tear. SAFETY CONCERN: Driver must maintain constant corrective pressure on steering wheel to prevent rightward drift. Risk of vehicle drifting into adjacent lane or off road if driver momentarily distracted. Defect creates dangerous driving condition, particularly at highway speeds. They recommended that I keep driving it and return if the warnings appeared again. 12/17/25 9:18 AM: I left the dealership. I drove 4.5 miles, and all the same warning lights came back on. When I pulled into a parking lot, it smelled like my engine was on fire, and dark smoke was coming from my rear exhaust pipe. I called a flatbed tow truck and had the car returned to the dealership. Mileage: 52,285 GMC 2021Yukon Denali XL 6.2L V8 engine Well-maintained with regular oil changes. The dealership told me there was a lifter failure and that the engine could be damaged and would need to be replaced if the cam, pushrods, etc., were damaged. They also told me I was out of warranty by less than 60 days. The dealership said my warranty expired in October 2025, even though my vehicle is a 2021 with only 52,285 miles. They just informed me that the left lifter was replaced at 6,000 miles and that they will replace the right lifter. On Monday, December 15th at approximately 4:30pm, after having turned East onto highway 556, aka Roy Avenue, accelerating to the speed limit of 45 mph, I crossed over a "seam" connecting the roadway to the bridge, which immediately set off the infamous "death wobble" on my 2024 Jeep Wrangler JLU. I was unable to control the vehicle, and I had to slow down while wrestling with the steering so that
... I could pull off to the right hand side of the road. Had I not been able to react in such a quick manner, I could have easily collided with oncoming traffic, killed or injured others, or been killed myself. I took the vehicle to the dealer two days later, who said that the issue was a "steering stabilizer", which appears to be the default response from Stellantis as all steering stabilizers are on back-order. There were no warning lights, no indicators that this event was imminent and the dealership indicated that all other parts were in normal working order.Read more

I've been experiencing issues with steering loosening/tighting for over 1 1/2 years.21,000 miles since I first reported the issue 5/23/24.Within a few months of reporting the steering issue,I started having issues with my car not staying in alligment after a few hundred miles. There are no warning lights. The tension in my steering wheel is inconsistent in a way that it shouldn't be. At first,I onl
... y noticed it at hwy speeds. Now,I notice it even at lower speeds. The faster the speed the worse it is.My steering wheel will have the stiffness it should, then suddenly briefly loosen, then go back to normal stiffness.Which causes constant minor corrections, risking over correcting leading to a wreck.I have had a couple close calls. As time has gone on,it's just gotten worse. It's now to a point that it's sketchy to drive on the freeway & nearly impossible (if not impossible)to drive on the freeway if its windy.I no longer drive the freeway & find back roads to drive at slower speeds & less traffic.I constantly feel all over the road & like the car is gonna wobble out of control.Picture taking your steering wheel & making frequent(almost constantly now)slight back and forth, back and forth, movements, that's basically what it feels like. The higher the speed while doing that, the higher risk to wreck. When I feel like I'm gonna wobble out of control,I tightly grip the steering wheel, straighten&lock my arms,& let off the gas &let the car slow on its own.I feel if I use the brakes in that moment,I'd lose control. It's almost like it briefly gets too much power steering,or disengages maybe?Dealership initially said I just need new tires & alligment (all tire tread @6)11/20/24 new tires&alligment.6 alligments&cameras calibrated in 3,285 miles.Gave up after 7. 3/25/25 dealership replaced steering column, housing,& reprogrammed. For a short while it helped, but didn't fix steering or alligment. Afterward, I made an appointment with another local VW dealer AT RANDOM, and one I had never done business with. Before I could identify myself or my VIN number this second dealer proceded to accuse me of being a deadbeat who does not pay his bills. He said if I came to his shop, I would pay in advance for any servicing. I would have to agree to surrender my car for an indeterminate time, and pay to strip it of all aftermarket parts at my expense, before even proceeding with diagnosis. It was apparent to me that the service manager had badmouthed me to ALL the local dealerships. I am in effect, blacklisted. I complained to Volkswagen corporation about this treatment in writing. I sent them proof of payment. They refused to help me. There is so much hostility coming from VW dealers, that I don't feel I can trust them to do safety recalls. I don't deserve this. I've always been polite and paid my bills immediately. The Ithaca dealer was paid for their diagnosis, even though they lied to me about the problem and never fixed the brakes. Incident date: Dec 15, 2025
I am submitting this complaint due to an unresolved suspension-related safety concern and the manufacturer’s failure to provide an effective warranty repair despite multiple attempts. The vehicle has experienced a persistent vibration and abnormal noise that appears to be suspension-related and occurs during normal driving conditions. This condition has been ongoing for over a month. As part o
... f the warranty process, Jeep provided a full replacement set of tires, stating that tire wear was the cause of the condition. The original tires were worn out at approximately 15,000 miles. Replacement of the tires did not resolve the vibration or noise, indicating the issue was not tire-related. Two Jeep-certified warranty dealerships have evaluated the vehicle. At the first dealership, the condition was acknowledged; however, the dealership ultimately declined to continue warranty repair efforts, leaving the issue unresolved. In an effort to resolve the concern, I scheduled service at a second Jeep-certified dealership, traveling approximately 45 minutes each way. At that visit, only one component (right-side inner fender) was installed. After waiting over an hour on site, the vibration and noise remained completely unchanged. No comprehensive suspension inspection or repair was completed. At this point, the vehicle has undergone multiple unsuccessful warranty repair attempts at two Jeep-certified dealerships, including one refusal to proceed further. Despite repeated escalation emails to Jeep Cares, Jeep Wave, and Stellantis sent on December 23, I received no response or follow-up. The continued symptoms, repeated misdiagnosis, dealership refusal, and complete lack of manufacturer response raise serious concerns about a potential factory suspension defect and the safety of continued vehicle operation. I am concerned that the vehicle is not safe to operate without proper resolution. I am requesting that NHTSA document and review this complaint ThanksRead more

Supplemental Safety Description I am submitting this supplemental statement to provide a complete and consolidated description of the ongoing safety concern affecting my vehicle. Vehicle Behavior and Safety Symptoms During normal driving conditions, the vehicle consistently exhibits directional instability, including pulling to one side and difficulty maintaining straight-line tracking. Steering c
... ontrol feels unstable, and the vehicle experiences abnormal harshness and vertical movement over the road surface. The vehicle often feels difficult to control and demonstrates behavior consistent with lateral misalignment, including a crab-walking sensation. During rapid left and right steering inputs, the vehicle exhibits abnormal and asymmetric body movement. One side of the vehicle body rises excessively while the opposite side compresses, resulting in excessive body roll and uneven suspension response. This abnormal dynamic behavior creates a strong perception of instability and increases the risk of loss of control or rollover during steering maneuvers. Additionally, overall traction appears reduced. Under wet or slippery road conditions, the wheels are more prone to slipping, further compromising vehicle stability and steering control. Repair History and Dealer Involvement The vehicle has been presented to four different Toyota authorized dealerships for the same steering and suspension-related concerns. Multiple wheel alignments, steering calibrations, inspections, and road tests were performed. Despite these repeated repair attempts, the condition persists. Each dealership reported that no abnormal condition was found and stated that the vehicle was operating normally. In at least one instance, a dealership declined to continue further repair attempts while the safety-related condition remained unresolved. The vehicle has very heavy damage, and this is the start. Once we replace these components their (sic) could be more damage, and it also could potentially need to go to a body shop!” Thankfully this didn’t happen at speed with my daughter in the car on I4! This is unsafe and a simple internet search revealed it is not an uncommon parts failure at this mileage! This is dangerous. All of this at just 54,000 miles. (4k out of warranty)Read more

I am submitting this complaint to report a dangerous and repeatable safety defect involving my Nissan Altima that caused me injury and resulted in vehicle damage. On December 16, 2025, I parked my vehicle on an incline and shifted it into Park. The gear selector and dashboard indicator both confirmed that the vehicle was in Park. I exited the vehicle and was not applying the brake. While the engin
... e was running, the vehicle remained stationary. However, immediately after I turned the engine off, the vehicle began to roll backward downhill at approximately 5–7 mph without any throttle input or action on my part. As the vehicle rolled, the passenger door struck me and pulled me down the hill, causing injury. My vehicle was also damaged and is currently at a repair facility. Later that same day, when a tow truck driver arrived to recover the vehicle, the exact same failure occurred again. The vehicle was placed in Park, and once the engine was turned off, it again rolled downhill unexpectedly. This occurred in front of the tow truck driver and confirms that this issue is repeatable and not an isolated incident. At no point did the vehicle roll while the engine was running, even though I was out of the vehicle and not applying the brake. The vehicle only moved after the engine was turned off, which indicates that it was not being held by a fully engaged Park mechanism. A vehicle placed in Park should remain stationary once turned off, regardless of incline. The failure of my vehicle to do so created an unattended roll-away hazard that directly caused my injury and posed a serious risk of severe injury or death to me and others.Read more

I was at work and went to move my car in our parking garage. I hit a bump and my front tires started to shake along with my steering wheel, and my brakes wouldn't work. I briefly lost total control over the brakes, steering wheel and tires causing me to almost hit a parked vehicle before everything self corrected. No alerts came on. I recently was hit on my rear passenger side and had repairs done
... to my vehicle. I had also experienced this shortly after I purchased the car and the dealership supposedly fixed the issue. I’m not shew if the wreck causes this issue to malfunction again or what, but this isn’t safe. I just reported the issue to the collision center that recently repaired my vehicle. Waiting on a response.Read more

For a few weeks prior to 12-21-2025, I've experienced minor Jeep "death wobble" (suspension issue) at highway speeds when encountering an irregularity (bump) in the road surface. On 12-21-2025, I experienced moderate Jeep "death wobble" at around 60 mph (several times). On a desert 2 lane highway, I was seriously in danger of running off the road to the right (crashing into rock faces bigger tha
... n the car) or running into oncoming traffic to the left. I was about an hour away from home and was able to reproduce the problem. I found that the issue was minimized if I kept it under 58 mph. Unfortunately, this motivated many drivers to dangerously pass me. The next day, I took it to the local off-road mechanic and they determined it was a worn tie-rod and recommended replacing the tie rod and installing/upgrading the steering stabilizer. From what I have read during my research is that those are band aid approaches to a more serious engineering/design issue with the Jeep Wrangler. I've further learned that Fiat-Chrysler (or the current owner) has continued to address the issue that has been problematic for decades. There are no recalls for my vehicle and the relevant TSBs I could find apply to older models (latest I saw was 2020 JL). However, it's clear the issue has not been resolved on my more current model (2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon JL). The vehicle is available for your inspection.Read more

Brought the vehicle to the dealer for standard 40,000 mile service. When it was raised on their lift, the rear end dropped out because both driver and passenger side leaf springs had broken at the mount bushings. The springs had been broken for some time, as there was significant rust at the broken points. The truck drove normally. This was only discovered once the truck was on a service lift.
... The weight of the truck was resting on the intact part of the springs, but may have completely disconnected if I had hit a large enough bump while the springs were broken. This would certainly have caused a loss of control, and likely resulted in a crash. The dealer confirmed that this was a manufacturer defect. Despite being past the warranty period, Ford agreed that this is a defect. They used the "Ford ESP" extended service plan to with the cost to perform the repair, though I did not have an extended service contract. I searched the internet, because this should not be possible on a vehicle with this age and mileage. I discovered many reports of similar occurrences on the 2019-2022 Rangers. [XXX] [XXX] I found similar reports on Reddit and other sites. This is dangerous and appears to be a common defect. The vehicle's suspension is excessively stiff and harsh since new, transmitting all road imperfections, bumps, and irregularities directly to the driver and passengers, causing discomfort and fatigue. Additionally, there is abnormal noise (clunking/rattling/creaking/popping) from the steering rack area, especially when turning the steering wheel at low speeds, over bumps, or when stationary. The s
... uspension components and steering rack assembly are available for inspection upon request. This condition affects safety by causing driver fatigue, reduced comfort/control on uneven roads, and potential distraction from steering noise indicating a possible developing failure in the steering system. The problems have been inspected and repair attempted by authorized Honda dealers on multiple occasions, but the issues persist and have not been resolved. The vehicle or component has been inspected by dealer service centers.Read more
