Driver side rear sway mount bracket fell off. This is well documented on the internet and has been occurring for many years on the Ford F53 chassis. Repair shop did not perform alignment requested on 2001 Hyundai Accent. One reason was: "Cradle is rusted through" Similar recalls exist for Hyundai Elantra (similar design) and Sonata (engine cradle) for same model year. This represents a dangerous condition. Vehicle is operated in Wisconsin, where roads are salted in winter.

This caused a dangerous grinding of the front left wheel against the wheel well, damaging the tire and wheel well, while pulling dangerously to the left. The car was not drivable after the failure. Structural issue/rust - engine cradle - front cross member rusted through on underside of Jeep. The car broke down while we were traveling and had to have a cross member replaced at a dealership. The car ran but was noisy and unsafe to drive, and we were 4 hours from home. Despite having an oil change recently, we were not warned of the issue. The replacement cost about $1500 out of pocket.

On Saturday afternoon 7/24 I was leaving a parking lot when my drivers side wheel detached from my front axle rod. I have around 90k miles on the vehicle. There was no indication of a part coming loose. Never noticed vibration of wheel or any resistance during movements. This should be a recall on the vehicle.

Both rear shock absorbers failed simultaneously, with no rebound control. Shock failure made the vehicle very difficult to control on any uneven surface, especially while cornering.
