Mitsubishi Motors has been contacted several times in the past about the ETACS system being faulty. The windshield wipers on this particular car went out in February, 2017, at which time they were contacted and rudely refused culpability. The car has had recall-related services completed: 2 windshield wiper recalls and a corrosion-related recall. I was told by the Mitsubishi tech in Asheville, NC
... that the recall on the wipers did not cover the faulty ETACS, "which is a common repair on 06-11 Mitsubishis." He was more than happy to give me a quote for more than $1,000 to replace the defective ETACS. We've replaced coil springs that snapped in two as I pulled out from my driveway with my children in tow - NOT covered by the recall because the mileage on the vehicle was 3,800 miles OVER Mitsubishi's pre-set mileage limit. I have had numerous problems out of the vehicle: coil springs snapped in two, ETACS failure, (still) non-functioning windshield wipers, corroded/rotted exhaust that cost nearly $1,000 to repair - not REPLACE but to REPAIR -, electrical failures related to headlights/interior lights/Bluetooth/cruise control, and severe cross member corrosion. I have reached out to Mitsubishi Motors several times since purchasing the vehicle, and other than speaking to extremely rude representatives three times by phone, no one has ever responded to me about my concerns. Most concerning right now: The anti-corrosion that was applied by the Mitsubishi dealership should have been a complete replacement of the front and back subframes, as BOTH are completely ROTTEN and CRUMBLING from rust! My daughter had been driving this vehicle with her baby in tow until recently! It is completely unacceptable that Mitsubishi Motors has not been held accountable and forced to fix these issues!Read more

The Original Equipment (OE) Bridgestone Alenza Sport A/S 255/50R20 105H M+S tires on my brand new 2024 Nissan Pathfinder suffer from groove wander on roads in which grooves are cut into them to mitigate hydroplaning in rainy conditions. The geometric design, tread design incompatibility, or structural irregularities of these tires cause severe groove wander and impair safe handling. I believe th
... ere is a mismatch between the tire design and the vehicle's weight or suspension design - Nissan should not be placing this OE tire on new Pathfinders. Groove wander causes the vehicle to follow road grooves involuntarily, which is a handling defect that compromise driver control. This condition is a safety hazard, especially at highway and interstate speeds or in inclement weather. Groove wander does not allow the vehicle to operate safely, causing the driver to constantly correct the involuntary path of the vehicle on such roads. The driver's and others' safety are at risk if the driver is unable to quickly correct the path of the vehicle and keep the vehicle in the lane of traffic to avoid lane departure into another vehicle or object. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by both the Nissan dealer from I bought the vehicle and a local Bridgestone/Firestone service center because both are unwilling to do so. Both have refused to accompany me on a test drive on Interstate 90 where this occurs because this road is approximately 12 miles one way from their locations (their claim it is too far away; if it was only 5 miles, they would be willing to do this). The tires have been visually inspected by both companies, and naturally both have found nothing wrong with the tires (normal wear at this time). Visually inspecting he tires will not diagnose the issue, and a test ride needs to be completed to document this issue - again both Nissan and Bridgestone refuse to do this. Other brand tires on other vehicles I own do not suffer groove wander.Read more

My Jeep Wrangler 4xe underwent Safety Recall 68C, which included high-voltage battery replacement and associated electrical system work. The vehicle was held at the Jeep dealership for approximately one month for completion of this recall. After being notified that Recall 68C was completed, I picked up the vehicle. Immediately upon pickup, I experienced electrical issues that were not present pri
... or to the recall. Specifically, the passenger-side power running board failed to retract. The service manager accessed the area under the dashboard and restored operation, stating it was likely related to the battery replacement or electrical work performed during the recall. Upon driving the vehicle, I also noticed the steering wheel was not centered when driving straight, and the front end appeared visually misaligned. Less than 24 hours after pickup, while driving at approximately 65 mph on the freeway, the vehicle experienced sudden and violent steering oscillation consistent with death wobble. This required me to immediately pull over for safety. The vehicle had no prior history of death wobble, steering instability, or electrical running board issues before Recall 68C was performed. Due to the severity of the condition, the vehicle was towed back to the Jeep dealership for further inspection.Read more

On April 7, 2025, the dealership attempted to sell me a vehicle that was experiencing an engine condition running too lean. I declined that vehicle due to safety concerns. On April 8, 2025, the salesperson contacted me again and stated that a different vehicle had been located that would meet my needs. At that time, I was nine months pregnant and urgently needed a vehicle with third-row seating f
... or my children. The dealership was aware of my condition and urgency. I took delivery of the vehicle that day. Unexpectedly, I went into labor the following day and gave birth shortly after. Because of childbirth and medical recovery, I did not immediately operate the vehicle extensively or discover the safety issues. After being discharged from the hospital, around April 11, 2025, I began using the vehicle and discovered serious mechanical problems that made the vehicle unsafe to operate. The vehicle exhibited engine-related issues and a major suspension defect that affected vehicle stability and safe operation. The vehicle was returned to the dealership, where repairs were performed and parts were ordered, confirming that the defects existed prior to or at the time of delivery. Despite the vehicle being driven a significant distance immediately before sale, the dealership did not perform a basic oil change or standard post-delivery inspection. Operating a vehicle under these conditions raises concerns for engine reliability, overheating, and failure. The suspension defect created risk of loss of control, and the engine condition created risk of drivability issues. These conditions posed a safety risk to the driver and passengers, including a newborn child. The vehicle remains available for inspection if requested.Read more

Replaced the frozen suspension last year. Now that it’s cold again, similar codes are being thrown with new ones: Service Trailer Brake System, Service Air Suspension System, Service Electronic Braking System. To note, I’ve had a “Check Fuel Cap” code for years. It’s tied to 3 sensors along the fuel tank and absolutely nothing to do with the fuel cap itself. For the air suspension sensor

Summary of Incident: On August 16, 2025, while my daughter was operating the vehicle at approximately 35 MPH, the front driver-side wheel detached entirely from the vehicle, resulting in a catastrophic loss of control and the vehicle being declared a Total Loss. Technical Details & Safety Hazard: The vehicle had undergone a comprehensive wheel and brake service at a licensed dealership, Ron Tonki
... n Hyundai, in Gresham, Oregon, 39 days (approx. 600 miles) prior. Post-accident inspection by an independent tow operator and mechanical review revealed: *A sheared wheel stud on the failed hub, which dealership service management later admitted was "likely over-torqued" during service, leading to latent metal fatigue. * A systemic failure of wheel mounting: Lug nuts on the other three remaining wheels were found to be loose or missing. Safety Risk: This incident represents a critical safety failure. The detachment of a wheel at speed poses a life-threatening risk to the occupants and other motorists. The systemic nature of the loose hardware suggests either a failure in service procedures, a defect in the lug/stud hardware compatibility, or improper torque specifications being applied to this model. I am reporting this to ensure a record of this structural failure is maintained should it be part of a larger pattern of hardware fatigue or service negligence.Read more

I am reporting multiple safety-related failures with my 2025 Honda Prologue. The vehicle has an unresolved drivetrain/axle defect that affects safe operation, and the dealer has stated that axle components are on backorder with no repair timeline. In addition, the main vehicle control screen completely blacked out and will not turn back on. This screen controls critical vehicle and charging funct
... ions. Without it, I cannot control charging or access essential vehicle systems, rendering the vehicle unsafe and effectively unusable. Further, the charging port sensor failed to alert me that the charging port was open. Because no warning was provided, the port remained open and subsequently broke. This represents a failure of a safety-related sensor system that directly impacts the vehicle’s ability to charge and operate properly. The dealer has not provided a loaner vehicle or alternative transportation despite the vehicle being unsafe to operate. These combined defects substantially impair the safety, use, and value of the vehicle.Read more

In 2024, while the vehicle was still under warranty, we brought it to our GM dealer due to an air suspension fault. The problem typically occurs in extreme cold weather, and following that visit, we did not experience further issues during the remainder of that winter as it was never that cold again. However, the following winter the same issue returned and was diagnosed yet again, and this year w
... e are again experiencing the identical problem with the same diagnostic code which has been diagnosed by 2 dealers and a private mechanic in the last week. It has since become clear that the underlying issue was never properly repaired during the 2024 warranty visit. We recently learned that approximately 3.5 weeks after our 2024 service appointment, GM released a service bulletin outlining the correct repair procedure for this exact issue. We were not notified of this bulletin by the original servicing dealer. This information only came to our attention when we brought the vehicle to a GM dealer last week, where the issue was properly diagnosed and now they are refusing to fix it without us paying $4300 even though it was brought to their attention in 2024 while under warranty. A failed air suspension presents a safety concern, not merely a ride-comfort issue. When the system fails, the vehicle may sit unevenly or at an incorrect ride height, which can affect vehicle stability, steering response, braking geometry, and traction—particularly in cold weather and at highway speeds. Because the failure is intermittent and temperature-related, it is unpredictable and increases the risk of loss of control. The vehicle is not operating as designed when the air suspension is compromised. GM knows about this issue as they did indeed issue a bulletin that covers our vehicle and this was done when my car was still under warranty, but it was not brought to our attention that it existed until this year after the car's warranty was up. 2 seal kits, air springs and the struts!Read more

Driving on the highway at highway speeds, heard clanking then a loud bang, then vehicle would not longer respond to the accelerator so we coasted onto the median. We had the vehicle towed and found out from a Ford dealer that the rear axle had broken due to Ford's failure to repair under Manufacturer Recall Number23S65 NHTSA Recall Number23V896 and that had caused damage to the rear differential.
... We were fortunate not to have been in or caused a significant accident. I had the vehicle at a Ford dealer in Illinois in 2024, but the recall was not performed due to lack of parts. This incident happened thereafter, in November of 2025, and the vehicle has been off of the road at a Ford dealer in Indiana since. Same story, no parts. Ford offers no timeline for repair, advising it could be 3 months, could be a year - it is indefinite. I recently was advised that there are 70,000 orders for the parts for this repair, and although I am on the "emergency off road list" that is still 15,000 orders long. Additionally, I had the vehicle in early in my ownership window for lags when the transmission shifted at certain times, it was checked and given the all clear, but - intermittently arose - given Ford representations I ignored it but never felt the delays were safe as it slowed vehicle responsiveness, albeit it slightly. I now see active litigation around these transmission issues in the F-150.Read more

I am filing this complaint regarding a serious and ongoing safety issue with my GMC Yukon Denali that began with a complete engine failure while driving on the highway with my entire family in the vehicle. While driving at highway speed (about 60–70 mph), the vehicle suddenly lost power and shifted into neutral on its own. While still moving, I tried multiple times to shift back into Drive so I
... could safely get off the road, but it would not engage. I was only able to coast partially onto the shoulder before the vehicle came to a complete stop, still partly exposed to traffic. The engine shut off and would not restart at all. It would not go into Drive or Neutral, and the vehicle was completely dead. And it had to be towed. The dealer later told me the engine had failed and that a new engine was installed. About a week later, I picked the vehicle up. Less than 20 minutes after leaving the dealership and getting back on the highway, smoke started coming from the vehicle and warnings appeared, messages that the engine was overheating and that I needed to stop the engine immediately. The vehicle was not drivable again and had to be towed back. I again had to arrange transportation home. A few days later, I picked the vehicle up again. Since then, I have had serious four-wheel-drive and drivetrain issues. The vehicle became stuck in 4 Low and I could not get it out for over a day. When it finally came out, the drive mode buttons stopped working correctly. Selecting 2 High sometimes puts it into 4 High, selecting Auto puts it into 2 High, and Auto mode no longer appears. Even when it shows 4 High, the steering is restricted cannot steer 100% to the right or left and the vehicle binds, pops, and jumps when turning. I believe this vehicle is unsafe and poses a serious risk.Read more

Part 3 SUBARU STRUT ISSUE I called the service department at Peltier Subaru and told them what happened and that I should be reimbursed for the tire. I asked about being reimbursed for the tire, and was told I would be reimbursed as soon as finance or human resources was in you guys would take care of it. You haven’t taken care of it, and for that, you now owe more than just one tire. Also, because you never fixed the initial problem, and we agreed that if you fixed the problem I would rescind my negative review. So now my initial review will stand for good, along with all this new information. On Saturday November 22nd, 2025 I had a flat on the way home, but was not far from my house. I was able to use my portable air compressor to put air in the tire, but had to repeat this process about 5 times before making it home because the air was escaping so fast. It also rained that weekend so I didn’t even take the tire until that Tuesday the 25th of November 2025. After taking the tire off and inspecting everything, the evidence was clear that this was caused by the car being out of tolerance and being overlooked by the service department on multiple occasions, even after bringing it to their attention with their own documentation of it. Part 1 Today is January, 28, 2026 How it all started. My appointment was Tuesday, June 10th, 2025 at 10:15 am. During my last oil change, I was informed by Chris that an alignment would be needed to correct the rear passenger wheel showing -2.4 camber. I asked Chris could I go ahead and schedule the service repair now. Chris replied, you will have to schedule the appointment after you leave.
... Isn’t it strange that I’m already at the dealership and being told a repair is needed, but I can’t schedule the appointment while I’m there, I have to leave to schedule an appointment. So I brought the vehicle back in for the service at a later date, and the wheel in question was not even corrected. When I mentioned this to the lady handling the paperwork, she went and asked someone about it. She came back and pointed to a front wheel that was never in question or out of tolerance and said see they did fix something. My other concern is the fact that when I got a text at 11:23 am like my vehicle was finished, and I saw it in the finished area, I sat a little longer before I went to see if it was ready. When I asked the young lady that checked me in about my car being ready, she said, I was getting your paperwork ready, you just kinda came over here. Well I got a text saying thank you, and my car was parked in the finished area. Then she asks me to sign paperwork that had my name on it, but had a completely different service done, and it was for a Subaru Accent, my car is an Impreza. When I asked about that, she said don’t worry I’m going to reprint everything out, but she was still trying to get me to sign incorrect paperwork. She never reprinted the paperwork, and she just came back and said I just need a signature to release your vehicle back to you. So you want me to sign paperwork that releases a vehicle back to me that doesn’t even have my vehicle on it. The vehicle is out of camber tolerance, which requires an alignment and maybe parts.Read more

Not sure if it is unsafe to drive due to the main structure looks solid. The front and back of the subframe has the rust holes. No other warning signs except a visual insp
... ection. My question is: has there been an issue with this subframe or any other complaints. or is it normal for this part of the vehicle to wear or without warning. PS: I have a photoRead more

Rear lower passenger side control arm snapped
Incident date: Jan 19, 2026
JLR issued a recall on August 8, 2025, for the front suspension upper knuckle joint, and there are still no parts available to fix the issue. JLR states the issue "may lead to detachment of the upper suspension arm" and "may compromise the vehicle’s controllability and increase the risk of a crash." I have regularly been in touch with my local JLR dealership, and they shrug their shoulders a
... nd say "oh well." My vehicle is readily available for inspection, but the dealer is not interested in seeing it until parts are available. How many months must I be driving with a potentially catastrophic failure pending?Read more

Vehicle: 2006 Jeep Liberty VIN: [XXX] Summary: The front lower ball joint on my 2006 Jeep Liberty failed while the vehicle was in normal use. This failure matches the defect described in NHTSA Recall 06V288000 (Chrysler F23), which involves corrosion and separation of the front lower ball joints. My VIN does not currently show this recall as open, but the failure occurred exactly as described in
... the recall documentation. Details: In November 2025, the front end of the vehicle collapsed due to a lower ball joint separation. The joint failed without warning, causing loss of steering control. The vehicle had to be towed home by AAA. The failure is consistent with the recall condition involving water intrusion, corrosion, and separation of the lower ball joint from the steering knuckle. The vehicle still has other open recalls (fuel tank and rear lower control arms), but the front lower ball joint recall does not appear as open in the NHTSA VIN lookup. I believe the recall may have been incorrectly marked as completed in the past, or the original repair was not performed or not performed correctly. The defect has clearly recurred. Safety Concern: This is a serious safety hazard. The ball joint separation caused sudden loss of steering and could have resulted in a crash. The defect is identical to the condition described in Recall 06V288000. Requested Action: I am requesting that NHTSA review this case and require Chrysler/Stellantis to perform the recall repair for the front lower ball joints, as the defect has reoccurred and the recall never expires. I also request verification of whether the recall was ever properly completed on this VIN. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

Rear Lower Link failure. The car has 145,XXX miles on it. I live in Wisconsin where we use Salt. I was driving the vehicle and hit a pot hole and the Driver Rear Lower Link failed in January 2026. Calling the dealer for repair I was informed of P9324 which did not cover my car. I bought replacement parts from Nissan to replace the Rear lower Links on both sides. Driver side had failed alread
... y and Passenger side was ready to fail also. I called Nissan support and I was informed that my car had a warranty extension on the Rear lower links through April 27 2025. this notice was sent to the wrong address so I was not aware of it. Also the Rear Lower link failed after the warranty extension. Nissan call person said there is nothing they can do for me. This is a know failure point Nissan know this by offering a warranty extension and P9324. All Altima's that used this same Rear lower link should have been included in P9324. Control of the car was compromised and harder to drive and not recommended with this failure. No need to reproduce failure as the part broke. No inspection besides my self as the dealer told me $500+ in labor to repair, I repaired my self. No warnings. Part can be inspected for 1 week then it will be disposed of. Pictures are attached.Read more

The air suspension in my 2017 Ram 1500 Rebel has gone out once again. I’ve had all of the air bags and compressor replaced once before and it has already gone out again, causing a very bumpy and unsafe ride. It is currently cold where I live, however, this problem started again during the summer time and is not due to the cold temperatures. Ram needs to fix this issue as I can’t continue pay

My Ford F-150 is subject to Manufacturer Recall Number23S65/NHTSA Recall Number23V896. I asked for the repair multiple times, but the dealership repeatedly told me that the parts were on backorder. The hub bolt on my right rear tire cracked and the truck was making a high pitched sound. I took it to the dealer and they said the bolt was cracked and driving it in that condition is dangerous. The

I had a recall done by local Acura dealer, Miami Doral Acura, where they replaced parts that connected the engine to the car, they are like rods. I recently took the car to a mechanic because I needed to change the timing belt components and he advised me that one of the rods that were replaced failed. This means that the engine was attached by only one rod, the other rod was cut, not connected. I
... called Acura today reporting the issue with the recall, they gave me a case number 16125924, advising me that some one would get back to me. The same mechanic also advised me that the high pressure fuel pump was not working properly and that my car could stall while driving it and he advised that it would be dangerous to drive it without replacing it. The part he quoted me was around $700. I looked for recalls for this car with this fuel pump issue and found that Acura only recalled some VIN numbers and my car is not one of the VIN numbers recalled. I believe Acura has not recalled all cars involved with the pressure pump. I find it hard to believe that they are not aware of this issue affecting more of the 2018 MDX model. The recall with the rods failed just a year after they replaced them. I had the rod recall done in 1/25. I cannot drive the car until I have the mechanic replace the high pressure fuel pump and fix the problem with the engine rod recall. Acura needs to be heal accountable and compensate owners that are dealing with the same issue I am.Read more

The rear driver-side wheel detached from the axle, resulting in an immediate loss of vehicle control. As a result, the truck left the roadway. The detached wheel landedapproximately 150 feet behind the vehicle, on the opposite side of the road from where the truck ultimately stopped. Insurance has not yet completed its inspection of the vehicle; however, the crack and damage to the wheel were obs
... erved at the scene by a volunteer firefighter, the responding officer, and the tow truck operator. Additionally, an independent witness reported that the truck appeared to abruptly lift off the roadway, as though something suddenly caused it to “go flying.” Due to the sudden nature of the incident, no warning lights illuminated prior to the loss of control. All airbags deployed during the incident. The tailgate was dislodged, and the driver’s side of the truck sustained severe damage, including significant damage to the axle. The vehicle is not operable. While insurance has indicated the truck will likely be deemed a total loss, the claim has not yet been finalized. Video documentation is available showing the location of the detached wheel relative to the truck’s final resting position.Read more

Rear toe links have a lot of slack resulting in rear drifting on uneven/slippery ground. This results in poor handling and fishtailing making it significantly harder to maintain control of the vehicle. Extreme caution required during slippery road conditions as the car will start to fishtail on it's own and requires constant corrective steering.

Vehicle was purchased [XXX], the very next day multiple lights came on on the dash and it started bucking while driving. ... partment. In September, more repairs were needed. I took it to my mechanic. The L axle shaft, wheel bearing, control arm w/ball joint, speed sensor and Rt.knuckle needed replaced. At this point, I was informed of the extensive rust under the vehicle and only being 8 years old, is a great concern. When it was taken in for an alignment, it was discovered there was a bolt broken off the Rr control arm, and it was repaired. October, it was treated again for the water leak. Water was still getting in with the spare tire when it rained. Also in October, I noticed a lag in shifting when accelerating. One incident that happened when merging onto a highway, the shifting lagged, delaying my acceleration and caused my vehicle to be traveling at a much slower rate than traffic. I took it to the dealership for repairs for the lag and a grinding noise. The transmission and torque converter were replaced. The grinding noise continued even after the repairs. January 2026, the vehicle was again taken in for the grinding noise and water leak. It now requires a transfer case, drive shaft, rear differential and the sub frame is cracked. I am greatly concerned about the structural integrity of this vehicle. Dealership claims the rust of the frame is from PA winters however the steering shaft INSIDE the car also has rust on it. For comparison, I also have a 2003 Jeep and it has minimal rust and is kept outside daily. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more
