Already spent 2600 to fix DEATH WOBBLE. Have much more to spend. This is ridiculous. 2017-2019 were recalled. My wife had motorcycle accident and was in car when this happened and is suffering PTSD from this horrific issue. Please recall.
Incident date: Nov 14, 2021
If the vehicle encounters any roadway surface imperfections at speeds over 40mph, it results in Extreme steering oscillation, or 'wobble'. This 'wobble' renders the vehicle virtually uncontrollable. The driver cannot regain full control until the vehicle slows below 5mph. This issue places the occupants of the vehicle, along with any other vehicles close by, in extreme danger. The problem can be e
... asily reproduced by simply driving it. There are no warnings of any type. The vehicle is available for inspection at any time. A simple and quick search on the internet has confirmed that literally thousands of other F-250 & F-350 truck owners are having, or have experienced, this same problem, referred to as the 'Death Wobble'. Ford is aware of the problem and acknowledges the severity of the problem yet, will not make the necessary repairs free of charge.Read more

This vehicle has only 25,000 original miles on it, and I am the original owner and bought it new. In separate incidents, several months apart, first the right-front coil spring broke, with a piece falling out and nearly puncturing the right-front tire. Several months later, the same thing happened to the left-front coil spring, with the broken piece damaging a front C-V joint boot. Both inciden
... ts occurred without warning and, thankfully, happened at slow speed with no subsequent crash or accident. These failures, however, if they happened at highway speed, could have been disastrous due to causing a punctured tire, or a broken C-V joint, or by making steering/controlling the vehicle difficult. With both failures, the vehicle became hard to steer and the front suspension made loud banging sounds when trying to turn, both of which prompted me to immediately stop and have the vehicle towed. Both of the failed coil springs and associated parts were replaced by my local Hyundai dealership's service department and thy retained the replaced parts after the repairs. Hyundai did not offer to cover these defects, so my 3rd party maintenance agreement and I had to pay 100% of the repair costs.Read more

Dear staff; I purchased my 2021 Ford F-250 new July 25th, 2021. I noticed my undercarriage was covered in great portions of rust. Two Ford dealership Service managers informed over the phone this is a common issue and not to be concerned. I have owned eight Ford pickups throughout my life and never had this deep concern. Knowing this rust has perforated the tie rods, I don’t feel safe driving this $60,000 vehicle. My only recourse since Ford won’t honor its warranty is for me to trade it in on a GMC. From the mechanics notes: Four-wheel alignment could not be completed. Attempts to align the rear axle were unsuccessful due to flexing/movement in the rear suspension. A brief road test revealed occasional suspension “clunking” coming from the rear of the vehicle. Close examination of every suspension component mount revealed heavy cracking on the passenger side lower drag link subframe moun
... t (see emailed image). The driver’s side low drag link mount location is also starting to show signs of overstress and rust/flaking. This is a known design defect that has been the subject of a manufacturer’s recall in Canada. Given the substantial safety impact of this design defect/failure, it is expected that a US recall will be forthcoming. Proper repair of this failure involves removing the entire rear axle/subframe assembly and either rebuilding/re enforcing the subframe or replacing it with a new unit and transferring all the suspension components to the new subframe. A current check of subframe availability is showing NLA (no longer available) status from Mercedes wholesale dealers – likely due to recent high demand and inability to satisfy that demand. This supply issue may also be playing a role in Mercedes’ failure to address this high level safety issue with a US based recall campaign. The manufacturer may be ramping up production of this component to address anticipated need – waiting to announce a recall when it has sufficient parts on hand to execute the campaign. It is strongly recommended that you file an NHTSA complaint for this issue and limit driving until the problem is rectified either independently or under the auspices of a recall campaign. The passenger side rear drag link has not yet completely separated from the subframe but is likely to do so soon which can result in an accident or loss of control as this critical suspension link is responsible for maintaining steering direction of the right rear wheel.Read more

Driving the truck, 2019 F350 with 9935 miles, at over 60 MPH on a highway and striking two or more small bumps, like on a bridge entry. The whole steering wheel shakes violently and I cannot hold it. The front end of the vehicle shakes as well and feels like it is coming apart. I have to slow down to 20 MPH or less to get the shaking to stop. I am an ASE mechanic and I have never seen something l
... ike this. It is like the front end "harmonizes" with the shaking and will not stop at speed. The situation is extremely dangerous as I cannot hold the wheel because of the violent shaking and to slow down and stop in traffic is also dangerous. I cannot imagine if I was towing something...SO DANGEROUS! I looked online and found the exact written symptoms and in videos. They call the the "front end death wobble". It appears to be a known issue and Ford has not done a recall. I cannot believe I paid $60k plus for a truck and it has less than 10k miles and feels like it is coming apart when the shaking happens. When the wheels shake I cannot control the steering at all. At 60 plus MPH this is EXTREMELY dangerous and can cause an accident very easily. I am attempting to get into the dealer but they say they can't see it until May? Vehicle randomly throws Stabilitrak, Traction control and ABS codes. Engine derates to limp mode. Transmission goes to full line pressure shifts. Throttle body is bad and/or the steering position sensor fails cau
... sing the stabilitrak system to be disabled (which in a 2013 Tahoe, stabilitrak cannot be turned off) I have replaced the throttle body with an OEM part and the problem still occurs with our vehicle. It is a big enough of a parts failure/equipment failure that most of my mechanic buddies I've talked to knew exactly what I was talking about and said I replaced these two parts and the problem was solved. May not be enough for a recall but a TSB really should be issued because I've found a lot of information online that a lot of people are having this same issue. Between this website's complaint section and other Chevy/GM forums, I'm estimating 5000-10000 people have had similar issues with the stabilitrak being disabled somehow while driving. Manufacturers need to be held accountable for parts failures like this, as when recalls do finally happen, it is next to impossible to get the vehicle in and repaired in a timely matter (Takata air bag inflator issue is a great example, our local dealer cannot give me an estimated date they can get the vehicle in for repairs because its a mass parts recall and the replacement parts are unavailable) Incident has happened over a dozen times in the past 6 months but the additional details will not let me select multiple datesRead more

Air suspension system fails intermittently. If it fails while driving, the vehicle has virtually no suspension and is unsafe to handle. It has failed at highway speeds, and rapidly deflated. When hitting bumps or anything in the road that is normally easily traversed, the vehicle will bounce and or skid, sometimes uncontrollably. The vehicle has been at the dealer multiple times for this issu
... e, and it has not been solved. Dealer claims they can't find a problem due to their diagnostics not showing a fault, but the vehicle has failed right in front of the service manager! Currently they have had the vehicle for going on three (3) weeks, and the failure has not been fixed. When the system fails, there are multiple alerts present in the vehicle information center on the dash, but sometimes these do not appear until sometime AFTER the failure, and at highway speeds this does not help. My truck is absolutely available for inspection. A quick internet search reveals this is a very common issue, well known to Chrysler. Dealers do not know how to fix it, and refuse to replace parts unless they test as failed, which these generally do not. This is a dangerous situation, and it is known. Something should be done about it.Read more

The vehicle was repaired under recall 20V-072. This was for the rear suspension toe link. The replacement rear suspension toe link on the right side has cracked. This was discovered when the right rear wheel was removed for tire replacement. I have a photo of the failed toe link part.
