I visited Car Pros Kia Tacoma for a wheel alignment on my 2025 Kia Niro EV. After the service, I was told the alignment was completed correctly and I was given a printout showing all values in the green. However, the vehicle did not feel stable or safe to drive afterward. The steering felt off, and the car did not track straight. Because the vehicle felt unsafe, I took it to Firestone the next da
... y for a second opinion. Firestone performed a full alignment check and their “before” measurements showed that the alignment was significantly out of specification, including major issues with front toe, rear toe, and thrust angle. These values were far outside normal ranges and could affect handling and safety. Firestone then corrected the alignment, and their “after” measurements showed the vehicle was properly aligned and driving normally again. Their report clearly shows the difference between the unsafe alignment I received from Kia and the corrected alignment they performed. In summary: • Kia performed an alignment that was not actually within proper specifications. • I was told the alignment was correct when it was not. • The vehicle felt unsafe to drive after Kia’s service. • Firestone’s diagnostic confirmed the alignment was significantly off. • Firestone corrected the alignment and the vehicle immediately drove normally. I am filing this complaint because the dealership returned my vehicle in a condition that affected its stability and safety, and the documentation from Firestone clearly supports this.Read more

Hello, I am wanting to file a complaint regarding my 2016 Ram 1500 Rebel. As of April 2025 my vehicle's Air Suspension system has been a Safety issue for me. I have noticed that the Service Air Suspension Immediatley, Service Air Suspension system messages have been displaying on my vehicle's dashboard. I took my vehicle into the Mac Haik Dodge in Temple, TX in April 2025 for a diagnosis and no r
... epairs were completed. I then noticed once again in December 2025 that my vehicle was displaying the same dtc messages above. The vehicle once again was taken into the Mac Haik Dodge in Temple, TX for a diagnosis and it was recommended to have the Air Suspension Control module replaced to correct this issue. I paid to have this repair completed in January 2026. My vehicle was returned to me and I was advised that I would no longer have any further issues. As a result, in February 2026 3 weeks of having my vehicle back in my posession the same dtc messages were once again displaying on my vehicle's dashboard. My vehicle was brought to the Mac Haik Dodge in Temple, TX for another diagnosis and it was recommened to either have the Air Suspension compressor replaced or to completely remove the entire Air Suspension system and transition to a Coil / Springs conversion to prevent any further issues. My concerns are that due to not having my vehicle repaired correctly back in April 2025 and the ongoing issues I have experienced this is considered a Safety risk with operating a vehicle that has not been repaired correctly. I've driven my vehicle and have now experienced the Air Suspension drop completely in the rear of the vehicle causing a severe and bumpy type ride while driivng my vehicle to a place that the vehicle can be parked. I wanted to express my concenrs to NHTSA to see if this issue could be looked into further. I have noticed that several other Vehicle owners who's vehicles are equipped with the Air Suspension have experienced similiar issues with their vehicles.Read more

As I was on my home on 2/20/26, I encountered some issues. I made a right turn onto the highway and my vehicle did a little drift but made this weird sound and the front end shook. There were no warning lights or dings that came across the dash. I pulled over into the closest parking lot to see if I could notice anything. I couldn't because I only had the light from a parking lot lamp. So decided
... to try and make it home which was another 15 minutes away. As I got back on the road and pressed the accelerator, I could here ticking sounds coming from the rear of the vehicle. When I approached the next traffic light and pressed the brakes, the front end shook, making the steering wheel shake, and the rear end drifted left. I made another left and pressed the accelerator. I got up to around 40 phone. The vehicle started pulling to the left and then stabilizing. I turned to my suspension articulation screen. As I was driving and the vehicle still scaring me to the point of a heart-a-stroke, I could see the axles trying to maintain contact with the road. At the same time giving me the feel of a loose steering wheel and a bad suspension. The vehicle continued to shift and shake and feel loose. When you turn into my neighborhood and before my house, there are two deep curves and a lake. I went into the first curve fine until the end of it. (At this time the lake is on my passenger side). As I was coming out of it, the steering wheel feels like its hard to turn or locked. I have to turn left into the second curve. The vehicle would not turn and the rear end felt like it was drifting right. At the edge of the road there is a slight downhill and the lake about 50 ft or so. Luckily, I was able to make the turn before going of the side of the road. Once I made it through the curve, the vehicle did do some shaking, loose steering, shaking, and back end motion until I parked in the yard. Its been parked since then. Infotainment Screen Glitch / Electrical Issue After the recall work, the infotainment screen began glitching every time I start the vehicle, and while driving it sometimes shows a large red line across the entire screen. •The issue happens randomly but consistently. •It is distracting and may indicate an electrical or software malfunction caused during the recall repair. •No warning messages appeared before the screen failure. 3. Inspection Status The vehicle has NOT yet been inspected for these new issues by Toyota or any third party. The problems did not exist before the recall and began immediately afterward, although the exact cause is UNKNOWN. I request a full investigation and inspection for safety concerns.Read more

The vehicle experiences a recurring rhythmic clunking or rattling noise from the lower front suspension area when turning right over uneven road surfaces. The component that appears to have malfunctioned is the front axle integral carrier (front subframe) and the related front suspension geometry, as the vehicle now exhibits a persistent pull to the left and degraded steering stability after the dealer replaced the front lower control arms, engine mounts, and performed alignments; this area of the vehicle is fully available for inspection upon reque
... st. My safety and the safety of others were put at risk because the vehicle requires constant steering correction to avoid drifting left, creating a danger of unintended lane departure and loss of control, which aligns with the steering‑related risks described in NHTSA Recall 21V990 / MBUSA 2022070009, where failure of the integral carrier can impair steering and increase crash risk. The problem has been reproduced by me on every drive, though the dealer stated they “did not find anything,” despite alignment printouts showing front camber imbalance and lack of caster correction. The vehicle has been inspected twice by the authorized Mercedes‑Benz dealer, but they did not inspect or address the front axle integral carrier even though the recall documentation shows that corrosion or structural issues in this part can affect steering performance and connection to other components. There were no warning lamps or dashboard alerts; the symptoms began immediately after the dealer’s suspension and mount repairs, and the steering pull and unstable handling have continued ever since.Read more

Cabin heat also stopped working, and the vehicle would not charge beyond approximately 25%, restricting driving range. OnStar diagnostics reported a critical erro
... r. The vehicle and diagnostic history are available for inspection upon request. The first incident occurred while driving around town. Although I was close to home, the reduced acceleration created concern because the vehicle could not respond normally to traffic. The second incident was significantly more dangerous and occurred in heavy traffic and on the freeway about 40 miles from home during heavy rain. The limited acceleration made merging and maintaining a safe traffic speed difficult, placing myself and others at risk. I have only been able to get the dealer to take the vehicle in one time, specifically for this issue, and that was because the warning lights were still on at arrival. Staff observed the warnings at check-in, but by the time the vehicle reached the service area, the lights had cleared. The dealer stated they could not perform repairs without active warnings, though stored codes reportedly indicated a low-voltage condition. Additionally, a clicking noise from the wheel area began about 1,500 miles ago and occurs consistently when turning, similar to a CV axle concern. During a separate visit, the dealer put in writing that they could not do anything about the noise and did not diagnose or inspect it, which left me uneasy about potential drivetrain safety. The intermittent high-voltage fault, reduced acceleration, charging limitation, loss of heat, and unresolved drivetrain noise create ongoing safety concerns due to the unpredictable nature of the failures.Read more

I am submitting this complaint regarding a newly leased 2026 Tesla Model Y Premium RWD, which I took delivery of on February 6, 2026 from Tesla Watertown, MA. I am a returning Tesla customer and entered this lease after test driving the same model on January 24, which did not exhibit any issues. Immediately upon driving the vehicle off the lot (approximately 12 miles), I noticed a persistent rattl
... ing noise from the front suspension area. The noise occurs over normal road conditions and has been present since delivery, significantly affecting the quality and value of the vehicle. On February 9, Tesla Watertown evaluated the vehicle and later replaced both front upper control arm (FUCA) mounts. On February 10, before repairs were completed, multiple safety systems suddenly disabled while driving, including regenerative braking behavior, traction and stability control, lane safety features, and automatic emergency braking, creating a dangerous situation. I returned the vehicle immediately and was provided a loaner. I picked up the vehicle on February 13 and was told the suspension issue was resolved, but the noise remained. I then sought a second opinion at Tesla Peabody, where a master technician conducted a ride-along and confirmed the condition. He verified that the latest FUCA parts had been installed and the front structural “pencil braces” had been removed per Tesla guidance. I was informed the vehicle falls into a known noise category affecting 2026 RWD Model Y vehicles and that there is currently no repair or engineering solution available. This defect has existed since delivery and remains unresolved after multiple service visits and component replacements. I have contacted Tesla regional leadership and customer support multiple times without response.Read more

I am reporting a serious highway safety defect involving an enclosed cargo trailer used in normal commercial highway operation. The trailer was purchased on 7/27/2022. On 2/16/2023, while traveling approximately 65 mph on the New York State Thruway, the wheel and hub assembly detached from the axle during highway travel. The trailer lost a wheel at highway speed, creating an immediate risk of los
... s of control, crash, and roadway hazard to surrounding motorists. The axle required full replacement. The trailer was not returned to service until 8/4/2023. In addition to the axle failure, the trailer experienced repeated structural weld failures. Rear ramp door welds required repair on 1/7/2023 and again on 9/24/2023. On 7/16/2024, the trailer experienced catastrophic structural failure, including separation of the side wall from the floor and failure of structural welds. The trailer became unsafe for continued highway use. The manufacturer supplied a replacement trailer, which was ready on 1/31/2025 and picked up on 3/23/2025. The replacement trailer also developed early structural failures within months of normal use, including: Man door hinge failure (May 2025) Ramp door upper and lower weld failures (January 2026) Ramp spring assist weld failures (January 2026) Side wall upper and lower structural separation (February 2026) The repeated occurrence of similar structural failures across two separate trailers suggests a potential manufacturing or design defect rather than isolated damage or misuse. These failures compromise the structural integrity of the trailer body and cargo containment during highway travel and present a significant safety risk to the public, including risk of cargo release, structural collapse, or crash hazard. I am submitting this complaint so that this recurring structural and axle defect can be reviewed for investigation to prevent similar dangerous failures involving trailers of this type. #supplied-1st unit [XXX] -2nd unit INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATIORead more

The dealership incorrectly refused to perform either recall, stating that neither could be done in North Carolina because they only apply to cold climate state
... s. This is incorrect — Campaign BZD was specifically created as a supplemental campaign to allow Toyota dealers outside the 20 cold climate states to inspect and repair covered vehicles. I was turned away on my first call. Only after calling back a second time to lodge a complaint did a different representative look up the recalls and confirm that Campaign BZD can in fact be performed at their location. Had I accepted the initial refusal, I would have been denied a free safety recall repair on a vehicle with 255,656 miles and visible frame corrosion. The dealership's staff appear to be untrained on recall Campaign BZD and are likely turning away other affected Tundra owners. I have call recordings documenting the incorrect refusal. The vehicle manufacturer is aware of the problem with my Jeep, yet they have not taken meaningful action to resolve it. At this point, the local dealer continues to charge diagnostic and repair fees only, focusing on steering and wheel inspections, while the death wobble persists. During the warranty period, I submitted video evidence showing the vehicle shaking severely. After reviewing the vide
... o, the dealer immediately installed a steering damper at no cost. However, that solution was only temporary. The same dangerous shaking returned and has continued to repeat. Now it appears that the manufacturer is declining to take action because my warranty may have expired. However, I have documented proof that they acknowledged the defect during the warranty period and performed repairs related to it. I have records of those warranty repairs. This is not a minor vibration. This is a severe and potentially fatal instability that occurs at highway speeds. While driving, the vehicle will suddenly begin violent front to back shaking with loud noises, forcing me to rapidly slow down or nearly stop to regain control. These dangerous events happen far too often. For example, last month I drove a round trip between Chicago and North Carolina and experienced more than forty instances of shaking, ranging from moderate to severe. This complaint concerns a repeat failure of both front CV axles on my 2015 Hyundai Sonata. The CV axles and boots were replaced by Gettel Hyundai of Charlotte County using OEM parts in November 2024. The same components failed again just 7,876 miles later in January 2026; requiring a second full replacement. A CV axle replaced with factory OEM parts by a certified Hyundai tech should not fail wit
... hin 7,876 miles under normal driving conditions. This pattern of repeat failure indicates either * A defect in the OEM replacement parts supplied by Hyundai * An installation defect at the authorized dealership * An unresolved underlying mechanical condition that causes accelerated CV axle wear The rapid repeat failure represents a potential safety hazard. CV axle failure can result in sudden loss of drive power, difficulty controlling the vehicle, and in severe cases, wheel separation --all of which create dangerous conditions for the driver and others on the road. Chronological Timeline of Events: Nov 5, 2024 55,579 miles; both front CV axles replaced by authorized Hyundai dealership using OEM parts. Labor and parts performed per Hyundai standards. Jan 29, 2026 63,451 miles Same CV axles failed again. Second replacement performed at same authorized Hyundai dealership. Total repair cost $3227.16 paid out of pocket by me. Feb 16, 2026 Hyundai Motor America denied goodwill reimbursement request (Case #XXX), citing the malfunction being out of time in service of the vehicle. Reported to Hyundai Motor, their response did not address the repeated nature of failure, the short mileage interval, or the possibility of a defective OEM part or improper installation. I believe the NHTSA should be aware of this pattern and investigate other 2015 Hyundai Sonata owners have reported similar rapid repeat CV axle failures, which could indicate a systemic defect in either OEM parts or dealership repair procedures. On 01/30/26, I delivered my vehicle to an authorized Jeep dealership for the third time in connection with Safety Recall 68C involving the hybrid battery system. The recall addresses a battery defect that carries risk of fire. This is the third occasion on which I have had to leave my vehicle with the dealership because the recall repair has not been successfully completed. During the most recent
... service appointment, the recall repair procedure failed. I was informed that the hybrid battery would require full replacement and that the vehicle could not be returned to me. The vehicle has remained at the dealership and out of service since that date. As of 02/16/26, I have not been provided with a confirmed estimated time of arrival for the replacement battery. The vehicle remains unusable pending completion of the recall repair. No loaner vehicle was provided when the vehicle was rendered inoperable due to the failed recall repair. I was therefore required to obtain a rental vehicle at my own expense in order to maintain transportation for work and daily obligations. On January 30, I received written authorization from Jeep Customer Care approving rental reimbursement at $60 per day and explicitly listing specific companies as acceptable providers. Based on that written authorization, I secured a rental vehicle within the approved rate. After incurring rental expenses, I was informed reimbursement would be limited to $25 per day due to the rental company I chose being categorized as a third-party provider, despite being specifically listed in the written approval. It is not feasible to obtain a comparable rental vehicle in my area at $25 per day. The reimbursement discrepancy remains unresolved. The vehicle remains out of service. I am continuing to incur rental expenses and will be responsible for paying the difference out of pocket despite having relied on written authorization.Read more
