Purchased this camper as brand new from camping world in November of 2025, after towing the camper home with my family in the vehicle, I proceeded to go through it about a week later to prepare it for winter. Upon going under the trailer I found two bolts that secure the leaf springs to the frame to be loose. One of them (front bolt of front driver side leaf spring ) was 3/4 of the way out, the ot
... her the nut was on by just 1 thread and the bolt was also backing out. This could have caused a serious accident or death as the vehicle could have rolled over or collided with another vehicle while turning. I proceeded to contact the dealership, they told me to contact Forrest river directly. I have submitted photos of issues and had back and forth correspondence and they have still not corrected the issue.. it has now been 3 months since I first reported this, and no one has corrected anything. Due to the severity of the issue I can not tow it to be serviced anywhere. I will be contacting my states attorney general as well to file a complaint.Read more

When I backed the car out of our driveway and turned the steering wheel to go on the street in front of our house, there was a loud scraping sound and the car was stuck. Thinking that it could be ice or something, I tried to drive it forward but the same thing happened. Straightening the steering wheel helped but I stopped and checked. The control arm of the suspension had dropped and was scrapi

Without even putting it on a lift, they told me there was too much damage and they would not fix it under warranty - despite me saying multiple times that the control arm of a car's suspension should never drop and it is a manufacturing defect/issue. Finally, I filed a claim with my insurance company and had the car towed to a Tesla authorized repair shop. They did an assessment and estimated over $24k for repairs. At this point the insurance company deemed it to be a total loss and asked me to take my personal belongings from the car so they could have it towed to their shop/location.Read more

2013 Ford F‑150 Limited – VIN [XXX] On [XXX], my 2013 Ford F‑150 Limited experienced a sudden and dangerous transmission failure involving the transmission conductor plate (lead frame). My son was driving the vehicle when the dashboard abruptly shut off, multiple warning lights illuminated, and the truck lost engine power. Shortly afterward, while braking, the engine attempted to accelerat
... e on its own, and the vehicle resisted slowing down. This created an immediate and life‑threatening situation. These symptoms match the known failure mode of defective 6R80 transmission lead frames, which NHTSA has previously identified as a serious safety hazard due to sudden loss of power, erratic shifting, unintended acceleration, and dashboard failure. The vehicle became undriveable and could not be safely transported to a Ford dealership. It had to be repaired at a nearby independent shop (Auto Stop Elite of Purcellville, VA). The conductor plate was replaced on February 12, 2026, at a total cost of $1,689.59. Despite this being a well‑documented safety defect affecting many Ford F‑150 owners, no recall or service campaign was ever issued for my VIN. No warnings appeared on Ford’s website, Carfax, or through any Ford communication. Other owners have received reimbursement from Ford for the same failure, yet Ford provided no notice or remedy in my case. This defect placed my son’s life in danger and represents a clear safety issue that should be addressed. I am requesting that NHTSA review this incident as part of the ongoing pattern of conductor plate/lead frame failures in Ford’s 6R80 transmissions. We are informing you because we have contacted Ford and they have done NOTHING to resolve this. We had to have it repaired and were never aware that there was a safety recall. We expect to be reimbursed in full for this repair by Ford. To date - we are being ignored and will now pursue with the Virginia Attorney General's office as well. Brand new car and its widely reported of front suspension noise, particularly with the RWD models. My car is the RWD model and I have the distinct and noticeable front suspension noise at non highway speeds.
Incident date: Feb 28, 2026
Starting at around 75,000 mileage on my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek, a persistent howling noise is heard while driving. This noise comes from the rear of the vehicle and occurs at nearly all driving speeds, measuring at around 90.0dB while on a highway (a dangerous level for prolonged exposure). A service shop and the dealership have both diagnosed the noise as an issue with the rear wheel bearings (c
... onsistent with Subaru Service Bulletin 05-70-19R). In January 2026, my low tire pressure warning light appeared on my dashboard. I checked the tire pressure with a gauge and found no issue. I assumed (and later confirmed while getting a tire changed) that the tire pressure sensor had a dead battery, and that the warning light was related to this dead sensor rather than an issue with the tire pressure. Before getting the sensors replaced, I drove for a week with the low tire pressure warning light on my dashboard. I ignored this sensor because I confirmed daily with a pressure gauge that the tire pressure was fine. However, one day while driving in February 2026, I got a flat tire on the front passenger side. I drove with this flat tire for at least six miles, not knowing I had a flat. The howling noise from the rear wheel bearings masked the noise from the flat tire, and I could not audibly distinguish anything out of the ordinary with my car. Unfortunately, this occurred in the same period of time that my tire pressure warning light was giving false flags for low tire pressure. I feel it important to log this issue because - had my rear wheel bearings not been making a howling noise - I would have noticed the flat tire immediately and would not have posed a safety risk to myself or other vehicles.Read more

On January 29, 2026 my 2023 Tesla Model Y was serviced by Tesla for windshield repair and routine maintenance. Before I could return to the service center, while slowly reversing out of my garage, a large bolt f

Tesla service later confirmed that a bolt from the front suspension link assembly had detached, resulting in damage to the front halfshaft, steering gear, wheel speed sensor, and other related components. The vehicle had approximately 38,000 miles at the time of failure. This appears to be a critical suspension hardware failure. If this failure had occurred at highway speed it could have resulted in loss of vehicle control and a serious accident. I am reporting a recurring, catastrophic suspension defect in my 2023 BMW i4 eDrive40 that results in life-threatening rear tire failure. Despite adhering to all maintenance schedules, the vehicle's rear axle geometry fails to maintain stability, leading to extreme, accelerated inner-tread wear while the center and outer tread remains healthy. Timeline of Events: Initial Incident 5/4/2025 (21,493
... miles): Suffered a sudden rear tire blowout while driving due to the inner tire wall wearing down to the metal cords. The dealer (BMW of Fort Lauderdale) performed an alignment and replaced the tires on my expense. Recurring Failure 3/6/2026 (35,200 miles): Less than 14,000 miles after the dealer-certified alignment, the new rear tires have reached a catastrophic state. The inner shoulders are completely bald (2.7mm inner vs 4.8mm outer), exposing the safety protector and creating an imminent risk of a second high-speed blowout. Manufacturer Response: The authorized dealer inspected the vehicle on 3/9/26 and stated the "alignment is within factory specifications," yet they refused to address why a vehicle "in spec" is destroying safety-critical components in under 14k miles. This indicates either a fundamental design flaw in the suspension components (e.g., bushings or control arms unable to support EV weight/torque) or defective factory alignment parameters provided by BMW for this specific model. Safety Hazard & Lack of Warning: This defect is a "silent killer." The failure occurs on the innermost edge of the tire, which is physically obscured by the vehicle’s body and cannot be seen during a standard walk-around. Because this EV has no regular service intervals (like oil changes), there is no professional opportunity to inspect the inner tires. A driver has no way to predict or diagnose this before a sudden, high-speed blowout occurs. BMW claims the car is "within spec," which indicates a fundamental design flaw that makes the vehicle un-roadworthy and dangerousRead more

DESCRIPTION OF THE SAFETY DEFECT On February 24, 2026, an Audi-certified technician at Audi of Milwaukee discovered substantial rust perforation of the rear subframe on my 2014 Audi A4 Allroad (Repair Order #[XXX]). The technician documented the condition as follows: “INSPECTED REAR SUBFRAME CORROSION. RECOMMEND TO REPLACE REAR SUBFRAME AND RELATED PARTS.” The quoted cost to replace the rear s
... ubframe, control arms, and related components is $11,583.00. The vehicle was otherwise inspected as being in excellent condition with no body panel corrosion. Root Cause: Manufacturer-Installed Plastic Shield Design Defect (B8/B8.5 and B9 Platforms) The corrosion is caused by a design defect present on the Audi B8/B8.5 and B9 platforms: plastic aerodynamic shields are installed by the manufacturer on both sides of the rear subframe. These plastic shields trap road salt, water, and debris directly against the bare steel subframe, preventing it from draining or drying. Even vehicle owners who regularly wash the undercarriage—as I did—cannot prevent salt accumulation behind these shields. This is not general road salt exposure. The plastic covers are an Audi-designed component that actively concentrates corrosive materials against the subframe. The corrosion therefore originates from a manufacturer design decision, not from owner neglect or normal environmental exposure. III. SAFETY RISK The rear subframe is a primary structural and suspension component. It mounts the rear suspension, differential, and drivetrain to the vehicle. Rust perforation of this component poses the following safety risks: •Structural failure of the subframe while driving, potentially causing sudden loss of vehicle control •Collapse of rear suspension leading to loss of steering stability •Separation of the rear drivetrain or differential from the vehicle under load •Increased risk of catastrophic failure when towing, carrying passengers, or during emergency maneuvers •No visible warning to the drive INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORRead more

The rear leaf spring broke on my 2024 Toyota Tacoma at approximately 16,000 miles during normal highway driving. The vehicle drove without issue on the way to my destination. On the return trip, I noticed a creaking sound, loud clunks, particularly when going over bumps or turning, and also increased sway. Given how new the vehicle is, a catastrophic suspension failure was not something I anticipa
... ted. The failure was confirmed on February 12th by my authorized Toyota dealer, Toyota of Muskegon in Muskegon, MI as a manufacturer defect. The vehicle is currently at the dealership awaiting a replacement part and is available for inspection upon request. A broken leaf spring compromises the structural integrity of the rear suspension, affecting vehicle stability, handling, and control - particularly at highway speeds or during braking. A failed leaf spring can also contact the fuel tank, creating a potential fire hazard. This is a documented risk, as Toyota issued a recall on 790,000 Tacomas from model years 2005–2011 for this same failure. When I called my authorized dealership, the service manager told me to get the truck off the road immediately. Based on my description, he identified it as a likely broken leaf spring and that it was an extremely dangerous situation. He even suggested that I get the truck towed into the dealership. The dealer has documented it as a manufacturer defect and submitted a warranty claim. A replacement part has been ordered but is currently on an extended backorder with no confirmed availability date. The vehicle was inspected by an authorized Toyota dealer, who confirmed the leaf spring failure as a manufacturer defect. I am reporting a suspected defect involving the front suspension or steering system of my 2026 Tesla Model Y AWD. The vehicle produces loud popping, knocking, and rattling noises from the front end when turning the steering wheel at low speeds, particularly when the steering approaches full lock in either direction. The issue is most noticeable when entering or exiting uneven surfaces such as slo
... ped driveways or parking lot entrances where the suspension is under load. During these conditions, the front suspension produces distinct mechanical popping or knocking sounds that appear to originate from the front wheel or suspension area. The noise does not occur while driving straight. It becomes significantly more noticeable when turning left or right at low speeds and worsens as the steering approaches full lock. In addition to the noise, a noticeable mechanical jolt or feedback can be felt through the steering wheel when the popping or knocking occurs. This issue began suddenly without any warning signs. One moment the vehicle was operating normally, and the next the popping and knocking noises began. Since that time the issue has continued consistently during turning maneuvers. The vehicle has not been involved in any collision and has been driven under normal conditions. Numerous other 2026 Tesla Model Y owners have reported similar front suspension symptoms, suggesting this may represent a broader pattern of potential suspension or steering component issues. Because the noise and feedback occur through the steering system while the suspension is under load, this raises concern that a suspension or steering component may be shifting, binding, or prematurely wearing. This condition raises safety concerns because abnormal movement or failure of steering or suspension components could affect vehicle control during turning or emergency maneuvers. I request that this issue be investigated for a possible defect trend affecting Tesla Model Y vehicles.Read more

On 5/28/2019 Recall V06 was completed on my 2014 Dodge Ram 2500. As part of that repair the adjustment nuts on the steering drag link were welded to prevent loosening and potential separation. On 3/3/2026 I had new front suspension components installed by Les Schwab Tire Center. During that service the technician advised a wheel alignment could not be performed because the welded drag link nuts p
... revented the steering linkage from being adjusted. Alignment is normally required after front suspension work and necessary for proper steering geometry. Les Schwab advised that grinding the welds off the drag link to perform the alignment and then rewelding the component would be unsafe because it could introduce hidden stress or cracking in the steering component. They recommended replacing the drag link with a Moog DS801538A redesigned component. The drag link had to be replaced to restore normal steering adjustment and allow the vehicle to be properly aligned. On 3/3/2026 I requested reimbursement from Dodge/Chrysler for the drag link replacement required due to the recall repair. The request was denied. On 3/4/2026 Chrysler representatives acknowledged the welded drag link rendered the vehicle unserviceable for alignment yet still denied reimbursement. Chrysler’s Vehicle Alignment Clarification Letter states that after the recall repair, owners should still be able to obtain an alignment using an approved procedure. In my case, however, the welded drag link prevented any adjustment necessary to perform that procedure, making the vehicle unserviceable for alignment until the drag link was replaced. The recall repair rendered a steering component non-adjustable and prevented normal service, leaving the vehicle less serviceable than before the recall repair. I have brought my car into my dealership 3 times now for the same problem (a creaking noise in the suspension system) The first time they replaced the parts that I suppose they couldn’t replicate easily see needed replacing, the suspension boot, mounting, and nuts and bolts. I brought it in a second time my service advisor told me they test drive it twice and were unable to replicate the sound so they proceeded to tighten the bolts on the parts they had replaced the first time and gave it back to me. The creaking sound happened 3 more times and I scheduled service once again. This time they practically refused service because 1: I told them it was highly unlikely they could replicate the sound as it only happens on my way over from my apartment complex with 7 speedbumps I have to go over (the creaking would stop after these) and 2: that my warranty for sounds was over and that cars are imperfect machines. TSB SB-20-32-004: Steering intermediate shaft corrosion due to inadequate road contaminant protection (design defect)
... 3. Ball joint/control arm water ingress from inadequate sealing (design defect) All three TSBs failing simultaneously at 177K miles.
