I purchased my vehicle from Southern Pines NC and at the time it had 12k miles on it. At about 40K I started having transmission problems. It would hard shift in 1st and 2nd gears. It also would not go into reverse. Hendrix Chevy had my vehicle multiple times attempting to fix things. Telling me it was not the transmission etc etc. My power train warranty expired at 60K. I have asked for my comple
... te service records multiple times. I have paid out a lot of money due to it "not being the transmission". The last time it was there the manager Matt took it home and said the changed the transmission fluid which was very dirty. Almost trying to say I had done something to make it that way however in the service history they had it almost the entire month due to issues. I got it back and my brakes went out while driving. I was able to cost to a stop. I was at my limit. I called Matt and said come and get this vehicle. I want Chevy to take it back. They kept the vehicle for almost 2 weeks. Matt said he personally drove it home and it was fixed. I picked it up and I have not had any issues for about 8 months or. Now my power train warranty is expired and my vehicle is again doing the same things it was when I took it in at 40k. It now has 85k. It is hard shifting in 1st and 2nd. It is rolling when in drive. I also have had many body parts that have come off etc. I called Chevy today to again get my service records. I stil have not gotten them. I just want a reliable vehicle. I feel like I have not had a reliable vehicle from day one. I want them to take this vehicle back and I want a Toyota hat is comparable in cost of my truck in its new form. Can you help me?Read more

Automatic Trunk (Lift Gate) Guillotine Problem: The convenience of the trunk (lift gate) is a helpful feature to the driver and/or passengers of the vehicle, but this feature can be deadly at the wrong place and wrong time, for example: The driver/passenger presses the open/close trunk (lift gate) and a child’s hand, head, and/or body part is against/leaning/underneath/over that opening while t
... he child is blocking/obstructing the opening/closing which can cause injury and/or death. That child’s body part can be crushed/trapped in between the closing/opening between the truck (lift gate) vehicle frame, for example: While a young child spontaneously darts in/around the vehicle during the opening/closing of the trunk (lift gate) and looks/sees/wants an item and instinctively runs to and grabs the item not knowing or forgetting about the opening/closing of the trunk (lift gate) and at that moment the trunk (lift gate) strikes and/or traps the child’s extremities causing injury, amputation, and/or death. * There should be an audible noise and sensors notifying the vehicle occupants about the opening/closing of the trunk/door/lift gate and 2 detection sensors. Audible Noise - A beeping noise or gentle soft song during the opening/closing of the trunk (lift gate). * Trunk (lift Gate) Opening/Closing Motor and Motion Detection Sensor. Trunk (lift Gate) motion motor freeze and stop - If there is an opening/closing abnormality the trunk (lift gate) would immediately freeze operation until the button is pressed to open/close. * Trunk (lift Gate) Opening/Closing Sensor. The sidewall of the camper is cracking at the front, lower corner of the left front slide out. This could be an indication of a major structural issue within the wall of the camper. This crack is located in an area of high stress due to the design of the 5th wheel camper. If the structure fails while the camper is being towed at highway speed, a catastrophic event would occur endangering my life a
... nd possibly the lives of other motorists. These seems to be a known, recurring issue in many Keystone/Alpine 5th wheel campers around this model year. My camper is available for inspection and repair. I just found the crack yesterday (4/2/2024) so no inspection has been done by the manufacturer or repair service. The movement causing the crack appears to be somewhat minimal (though I have no proven way to measure the movement) at this time but I’m afraid it will get worse and lead to a catastrophic failure. It certainly won’t get any better without repair.Read more

My car randomly will not reverse; it's happened a few times, I was alone or with my 5 year old the first time, and next couple of times I've had witnesses (husband and a friend) and this last time I was alone but I took a video. Sometimes my car feels like it has no power or like it's in the first gear struggling to make it past that (it's an automatic but that's the best way I can describe it).
... Three out of my four doors stick and I have to pull multiple times to get the door opened, even though it's unlocked. I find these issues, while not outright dangerous, can be a hassle especially when I'm in a parking lot trying to reverse into a spot or out of a spot. It's hard for my 8 year old to get in or out of the car cause her door sticks. I feel like when my car is driving sluggish, that I am going to get hit by another car.Read more

Several warning lights flashed on and off while driving. My display/computer turned off and rebooted while driving. A day or two later the electric rear hatch stopped working. I opened the cover in the back where the spare is, and found several inches of water (4-5) in the well. I called the dealer first thing since it was a frightening thought thinking the car may blow up or trigger the airbag ma
... king me (or whoever is driving the car) crash into someone else. To my surprise there was no warning or recall on the problem. A surprise since a simple google search turned up pages of complaints, chat rooms and discussions concerning the same issue. This is where the battery is stored in this car. The battery was sitting in inches of water even though it is slightly elevated. The control module for the electric hatch (according to a schematic found by google) although in a separate raised styrofoam holder, was halfway submerged in water. Under the side panel was wet. In that side panel is the fuse/ relay panel. Water was dripping down the side of that wall and the insulation was wet and dripping at the bottom and into the bay. The safety of myself, the driver, or my wife the primary driver of the car could be affected in many unexpected/ unknown ways with a short on the fuse panel or worse yet water sloshing around a big 12 volt car battery. Could it explode? I don’t know. I vacuumed out the water and it has come back and fills a substantial amount in a couple weeks. About one inch per week. It is certainly ongoing. My wife won’t drive it so deduction tells me it is not coming in from driving it. It is available for inspection although I have not driven it to the dealer since it has been quite wet and is some distance away. I tried to follow your format and include all your requested details. I have a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, covered by multiple Technical Service Bulletins regarding issues with premature frame rust due to a manufacturing issue. During the Factory Warranty Period, Chevrolet did not acknowledge or repair the issues noted in the TSBs. A 10 year old truck, with 81k miles on it is no longer safe to operate due to extensive damage to the frame from Chevrolet failing to
... fulfill their own commitments in resolving this issue. There has been no abuse or failures by myself as the owner that would result in the current unsafe condition. Due to this being an extremely widespread and known issue, this must be further investigated and upgraded to a full recall. Without a full on recall, unsafe vehicles will continue to be utilized on roadways, causing safety concerns to owners, passengers, and others on the roadway. Chevrolet has just refused to repair the damage due to the expiration of the factory warranty period. The vehicle was in possession of Chevrolet several times during the warranty period, but the resolution and repair was not completed. Per the TSB, this was to be completed and Chevrolet acknowledged the issue. Since not all dealerships have the ability or willingness to address this concern, Chevrolet must be put as the responsible party through a recall to rectify this, allowing owners to drive safe vehicles.Read more

After a rain storm, I noticed that the trunk door of my Honda HRV was filled with water. I could tell that it had a large amount of water in it because I could hear the water sloshing when driving. I also saw water slowly dripping from the trunk door when I opened it. I could tell that there was a lot more water in the door, but there was no way for me to drain it. In addition to having water in m
... y trunk door, I found that the water had also filled in the spare tire well. Upon researching the issue, I have found that this is a common issue with my make and model as many people on a forum reported the same issue. I believe this is a safety issue because it can cause mold problems which is a health hazard. It can also cause damage to the trunk door and electrical components. In addition, water filling in the spare tire well could cause issues with the spare tire and potentially make it unusable. I took my car to the Honda service center and was told that this is a known problem for my make and model, and that the rubber around the tail light deteriorated. Their solution was to replace the tail lights, which would cost over a thousand dollars. Although I understand that rubber can deteriorate, this issue is not found on most cars and is specific to my model. The car should be designed to drain water and not have its parts fill up with water if the rubber has deteriorated.Read more
