In October 2023, we took our 2022 Ford Maverick to a local Ford dealership for a front airbag recall. However, after we picked up our Maverick and we got home we noticed a deep scratch across the top of the dash and the tool from the technician in the console. We contacted the dealership about this scratch. Our Maverick was taken to the dealership in January 2024 for this repair. Upon the complet
... ion of installing the dash, the technician scratched the outside of the driver’s side front door causing yet another delay. The Maverick was then taken to their body shop (on premises) to repair the scratch and repaint the door. Within a week of having our Maverick back, we started smelling a very foul odor in the truck. This smell made my throat and nose burn and was nauseating while riding in the truck even with the windows down. We went back to the dealership to meet with the owner about this odor. They removed the seats, carpet, and dash to locate the problem. They discovered a place at the bottom of the windshield that had not been sealed from the manufacturing production department. They discovered black mold in the insulation behind the dash near the firewall and under the carpet. They have discussed this with Ford Motor Company on how to handle this problem. Currently our Maverick is still on the lot at the local dealership, since the first week of April 2024. We have reservations about the mold/mildew odor as a health/breathing issue to continue driving this vehicle. Ford Motor Company has been attempting to come to some agreement of handling this situation but not addressing the odor in the vehicle. After some online research of the 2022/23 Ford Mavericks this seems to be a bigger issue across the nation. There are not any recalls to correct this problem for water intrusion into the vehicle.Read more

My vehicle's SNOW PEARL WHITE paint is flaking off in large chunks on the windshield pillars (both sides), as well as chipping all over the body. The chipping began in 2018 (2 years after purchase) and the large chunks began in 2022. Paint chunks have flown off my car while driving on the highway. Missing paint is now leading to the body of the car rusting. My car is available for inspection. The
... dealership has inspected the problem and informed me I am not the first person they have encountered with this same problem. It is specifically common with SNOW PEARL WHITE PAINT. Bubbles are forming under the paint in other spots now, and I am worried about the possibility of it coming off in larger chucks on the hood- which could possibly create a projectile/vision obstruction. I have provided photos to the manufacturer in 2022 and started a case number. I have not heard back since.Read more

During my recent recall repair by Ed Morse Honda in Riviera Beach, FL, I was advised that the rear tailgate sensor was reported as "wet". I do the maintenance myself, so I passed on a repair at that time by the dealer. Today, I researched what might have failed both online and with my Alldatadiy subscription, and accessed the part. Indeed, the Liftgate Control Module was molded and need of repai
... r/ replace. However, I have grandchildren now, and during the removal - realized that in a water accident or other hazard where power is lost, there is NO WAY for rear passengers to exit the van by the rear tailgate. There is NO readily accessible latch or pull to open the tailgate from the inside, and NO key nor latch available from the outside for outside assistance. Additionally, if a child is in need of exiting the rear tailgate, there is NO child safety pull to allow them to exit. During my research on how to repair the vehicle, I saw that this is an ongoing issue for this model of Honda. I like my 2018 Honda Odyssey very much, it is my second Odyssey (the first was totaled in a T-bone accident, where both wife and daughter walked away), but I believe a recall is needed for the water issue affecting the Tailgate Control Board for the short term, and safety mechanisms added for the long term. I have a 2014 Pearl White Sorento SX. After washing my car recently, two area showed up that have started to delaminate. I talked with my insurance company who came out and told me there are known problems with especially the Pearl White on Kia Sorento so they wouldn't cover anything. Unfortunately those two areas are spreading and three new areas are cropping up. Based on what I've learned si
... nce the insurance company informed me of the problem, other Pearl White Sorento owners (2014 and other years) are experiencing continuing delamination. It seems highly likely the delamination will only continue to get worse which will severely impacts the value of the car. I spent several thousand getting an extended warranty that is still good through 125000 miles, with the thought that, in addition to providing protection from a significant problem with the car (e.g., engine, transmission, etc.) it would also increase the value when I decide to sell. The warranty does not cover paint (I don't believe any extended warranties do). I am sure that I've now lost 25-50% of the value of the car which is very, very upsetting. I haven't contacted the dealer I had been going to because they let me drive my car off the lot after servicing it and they forgot to put oil in. Thank god I had an inspection appointment the next with a local shop who showed me the problem. The paint problem is obviously a latent defect. I believe Kia should take responsibility for the problem, but I am fairly sure they won't unless there is a recall. So I am hoping that with enough complaints a recall will be issued. Thank you for your time taking my complaint.Read more

I even tried contacting my local Nissan, and two workers there even also said that this is a problem they’ve seen several times, so that they also believe it’s a manufacturing issue, but that their hands are tied. During a regular fuel stop at a gas station, I noticed the central lock button nor the physical door hinge fail to operate to open the door for me to exit. The fuse for the central power door lock/unlock button blew out, completely disabling the interior door hinge mechanism. I got trapped inside but thankfully the power was still on and the rear doors remained unlocked. So, I lowered the driver
... side window and crawl outside. Then open the unlocked reer door to enter the vehicle from the back seat. Then located the fuse box, searched on the internet to itenfy the effected fuse, replaced damaged one to another fuse (dedicated to another function), temporarily replaced with the same ampage fuse. For my vehicle, there is no visible solution to enter the physical key to open the door from the outside that are typically found under the exterior door handle. If it wasn't for a combination of luck that the other door remained unlocked, had power to lower the window, have some knowledge of vehicle electrical system (fuse), and tolerable weather condition, I would've been stuck inside my car for indifinite time, or break the window to get to exit. I would testify that this is a serious safety concern the manufacturer should investigate and provide permanent resolution.Read more

Today is June 25,2024 I took delivery of my 2024 Tesla model 3 long range on May 26,2024. Unfortunately turn signals have failed to activate on multiple occasions while I was driving on highway and trying to change out of far left fast lane. Tesla Burbank service center was notified prior to my 1st scheduled service appointment on June 5,2024 that I experienced times while driving where left and right turn signal buttons didn’t activate after being pushed. Tesla elected not to do anything to resolve customer stated problem during the June 5,2024 service appointment. Explanation of Safety Risk: The inability to lock the doors of the Fisker Ocean while in the vehicle and in parked mode presents a significant safety risk. This defect can compromise the safety and security of the occupants in the following scenarios: 1.Immediate Threat from Robbers or Attackers: •If the vehicle cannot be locked from the inside while parked, occupants are vulnerable to externa
... l threats. In the event of an attempted robbery or physical attack, the inability to quickly secure the vehicle leaves the occupants defenseless. Locking the doors from inside the vehicle is a critical safety measure that can prevent assailants from gaining immediate access. 2.Emergency Situations: •During emergencies, such as a carjacking attempt or hostile confrontation, being able to lock the doors instantly is crucial for protection. The inability to do so can escalate the risk of harm to the occupants, as they cannot use the vehicle as a safe haven to delay or deter the attacker. 3.Psychological Impact: •Knowing that the vehicle cannot be locked from the inside can cause significant stress and anxiety for drivers and passengers, especially when traveling through high-risk areas. This mental burden can affect the driver’s ability to focus and respond appropriately to other driving conditions, further increasing the risk of accidents. 4.Standard Safety Protocols: •Many modern vehicles are equipped with the ability to lock doors from the inside as a standard safety feature. The absence of this functionality in the Fisker Ocean puts it at a disadvantage compared to other vehicles, making it less safe for its users. In summary, the inability to lock the doors of the Fisker Ocean while in the vehicle and in parked mode is a severe safety hazard. It leaves occupants vulnerable to external threats, increases the risk of harm in emergency situations, and induces psychological stress, all of which compromise the overall safety and security of the vehicle.Read more

I contacted a MOLD specialist who stated that it is impossible to effectively rid a vehicle of MOLD. He stated that MOLD spores are in every crevice of the truck and it WILL return. On April 6, 2023 I took the truck to The Ford Store where I purchased it. There was 1294 miles on the odometer. They could not find the leak. My vehicle was there for several weeks and the interior was completely torn down from the headliner to the carpets.
