I am writing to report two concerning safety issues with my vehicle: Repeated Door Clicking During Car Wash: On multiple occasions while driving through an automatic car wash, I have noticed that the car doors repeatedly click, as if attempting to unlock or open. This erratic behavior occurs despite no input from the driver or passengers, raising concerns about the vehicle’s electrical system a
... nd its reliability under normal operating conditions. Speedometer Malfunction: More critically, the instrument panel, including the speedometer, has gone completely black while driving. The panel remains non-functional for 5-10 minutes before rebooting on its own, leaving me unable to see my speed or other critical driving information during this period. This issue poses a significant risk to my safety as well as the safety of others on the road. Both issues are unpredictable and have occurred multiple times, making the vehicle unsafe under certain conditions. I kindly request your assistance in investigating these problems to ensure that no further safety hazards arise.Read more

Driving in my neighborhood at 25 mph when the sunroof EXPLODED and SHATTERED for no reason. Nothing impacted the glass and there were no chips whatsoever. Took it to the dealership and they agreed that nothing impacted the glass or went thru the glass, and that it just spontaneously exploded. This is becoming a common issue with Rams and is a MASSIVE safety issue. Had this happened at highway spee
... d with the retractable cloth roof open it would have cause a SERIOUS situation of glass falling on me, the driver, and anyone else in the vehicle and having pieces of glass flying around in faces and being inhaled. This incident needs to be addressed and Ram needs to put out at the very least a TSB or actually admit a fault and confirm a recall. Ram is notorious for ignoring manufactured part defects and needs to be held ACCOUNTABLE for the poor quality of product they are putting out on the road and putting people's lives at risk.Read more

The paint on the roof is peeling and some area around the windshield. I contacted Honda but was informed the extended warranty expired as of January 2024. The paint began peeling around July 2024. Honda also stated the extended warranty was valid from the time of purchase. However, I am not sure if this is for the initial purchase (1st owner) or when I purchase it (May 2019). If this is for the in
... itial purchase then the extended warranty offered was negotiated fairly when it involves 2nd, 3rd owners who are now experiencing this issue. I should not have to pay for something that is clearly a manufacturer issue (peeling paint). When I drive at times the paint peelings further in the wind then blows off towards the vehicle behind me. I kindly asked this be addressed at Honda expense since they decided to use a cheaper paint on these vehicles. They need to be held accountable. R/Read more

I was under this car inspecting the exhaust system when I noticed the steel rear impact beam was rusty. Upon further inspection, I found that it was completely rusted and rotted out and was being held up by the wire for the license plate light. The car has quite a few miles on in but no other parts of the car are rusted like this. An automotive Engineer inspected it and advised us to replace it. T

This Vehicle was bought back in Jun of this year. Since purchasing the vehicle with only 49,933 miles this Sentra has broken down 4 times, been in the shop for 1Month 2weeks consecutively. The first incident was 4.5 hrs after purchase. The Passenger side Tide Rod snapped in half on the highway causing the jam and slow down along with leaving me in fear for my life. The passenger rim was inverted f
... acing the driver. The second time happened to be the same issue but at a different dealership. The car went to Moss Bros San Bernardino where it was bought and was there for about 25days .Later it was sent to Nissan of San Bernardino and was there for 2weeks. The same day It got picked up from Nissan it was taken back the same day. Had same Bumpy and shaking throughout the car. When the tie rod snapped in half it had destroyed the durability of the belt and pulley systems as the vehicle weight was slammed abruptly onto the passenger side of the car leaving it slanted and slid for 2-3 mins on the freeway this caused the engine to become weak which led up to the defective parts breaking over time of driving regularly. The Alternator Pulley, Serpentine Belt, Axle, and balance to become uneven. So as of 09/10 this vehicle has broke down 4-5 times. Been in the shop since. The vehicle has Powertrain warranty but as usual they denied coverage. Total cost is around $2,700 in damages due to the original recall. This Tie rod recall has destroyed the vehicle. Congratulation to me cause I still owe 22K. This hazardous, and dangerous vehicle has also been deemed unsafe by CHP as of 06/11/2024. This particularly Sentra is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode on the freeway.Read more

I request Honda consideration of payment for hood replacement on my 2019 Ridgeline. Since I bought the truck new in 2019, the hood has fluttered alarmingly in turbulent air. I took it in when I got the recall notice in Jan 2022, hoping that it would resolve the problem. The local dealer installed a bracket reinforcement at that time. It did not prevent the hood flutter. This summer, as I was trave
... lling in Wyoming on a 2 lane road at 55mph, I encountered a blast of air from a semi truck going the opposite direction. The left side of the hood blew up 4-5 inches, accompanied by a loud banging noise. The hood latch held. When I stopped, the left side of the hood was deformed upward about 1.5 inches. At roadside, I torqued it down so that it did not have such a big gap, but after that, it would even deform up substantially with the bow wave from a passing motorcycle. Ultimately, I used Guerilla Tape to hold the hood down and to try to prevent air pressure from getting under the hood and lifting. This was effective, but I noticed that now the entire hood would flutter. In 2021, Honda sent me a recall notice about this issue and I complied. That notice said that one of the potential remedies was hood replacement. This seems adequate evidence to me that Honda acknowledges a design flaw. i believe that there are actually 2 flaws. one with inadequate stiffness of the leading edge of the hood, and the other inadequate prevention of air ingress under the leading edge of the hood. The combination of these led to hood failure. I believe that if I had waited to respond to the recall notice, that Honda would have certainly replaced my hood, the skin of which is now completely debonded from the underlying skeleton. I suspect that my local dealer followed recall guidelines in the placement of latch reinforcement, but maintain that this was inadequate remedy for a potentially lethal problem.Read more

On several instances of breaking, my 2013 Mercedes Benz C300 pulls hard to the right and becomes very unstable. I assumed it was a brake problem by the way the car drove. I took it to my mechanic, who immediately identified the rear subframe had rusted so much that a control arm had broken loose from the subframe. The rear subframe acts as a foundation for the rear suspension and holds the back
... end together. Fortunately I was able to get this diagnosed prior to a serious accident. The car gets very unstable, especially at higher speeds, when braking. There are no warning lights that will catch this. This problem absolutely places both passengers and other cars on the road at risk of a collision when braking, especially on the highway at higher speeds. I am going to contact a local Mercedes Benz dealer to evaluate replacement of the damaged parts to ensure the car is safe to drive following repair. Based on the links below, it sounds like a known issue at Mercedes Benz. I was never notified of any issues or from prior service visits, or via mail notice from the manufacturer. My mechanic was shocked, to say the least. Hoping MB will take care of this dangerous problem without hassle. I went over a dip (not even a speed hump, but a dip in the pavement) in a parking lot and the front passenger side sounded like the suspension broke. From there every turn or small bump sounded as though metal was on metal. I messaged Tesla to get an appointment to look at it, but they had no appointments for 2 weeks. Feeling as though the car was unsafe to drive while waiting for my appointment,
... I took it a local Tesla approved repair shop. They told me the bolt that holds the front passenger side of the front subframe and chassis was sheared. After that shop looked at it I had it towed to Tesla, hopeful they would repair it since my warranty expired in June 2024. I have a screen shot of Teslas message stating "The sound is coming from where the sway bar mount, front subframe, and chassis meet. The bolt is broken in the inside the chassis and vehicle will need to go to a body shop to be repaired," Seeing as I did not have an accident or hit anything this seems like a poor design. No body shop wanted to fix it because it was not in an accident. I reached out to Tesla to ask if this was common issue, but they did not answer that question. Online there are several forums with model X owners experiencing the same issue. This is a very expensive repair ($3500-$4000). My warranty was for 4 years/50k miles. My car has 51K and expired in June 2024. When the shop that is doing the repairs asked the tesla parts department if this was an issue with this model, they said the car has too much torque and it shears the bolts. This is dangerous. My front end could have come off, this could have caused a major accident. The car is not safe to drive and they told me the front passenger side frame could have come off the car. Please consider a recall to fix this for others for safety There were no warnings from the car that anything was wrong at any point.Read more

In an emergency, such as a power failure or accident, a child or any rear-seat passenger may be trapped without an obvious way to exit, increasing the potential for injury or death. This is particularly concerning given two prior instances where the battery failed to charge, leaving the vehicle completely without power even while connected to a charger. Reproduction and Confirmation: Tesla refuses to address the issue, This is a critical fire hazard. Inspections Conducted: The vehicle has been inspected by Tesla service centers on at least two occasions to address charging and battery problems. However, the lack of an accessible rear door manual release remains unresolved and unaddressed. I experienced an issue with the trunk lights on my 2018 Dodge Charger SXT Plus, which would not illuminate when the trunk was open. I understand the warranty has expired however a failure could result in loss of control and a repair quote from a Honda collision center is $5,871.63. If the vehicle were in an accident insurance company would total it, per Arbella. Instead, we are left to spend more than 2/3 of its trade in value to repair it. It seems that the CRV frame issue was not limited to the 2007-2011 model years, and I believe we should receive consideration from Honda to repair or buy back the for a vehicle. It would appear more CRVs should be inspected for unsafe frame rot, and Honda should be held accountable for a design that does not let road salt and moisture drain.Read more
