The carbon fiber roof is delaminating and a portion of it came off and hit the front windshield of another car, causing them to partially lose control of their vehicle almost causing an accident. This is a known issue BMW has not taken an action to resolve it. I’m afraid that a larger chunk may hit somebody’s car and cause a severe accident.

As I was driving today in the freeway my sunroof exploded. As far as I can tell, It was not caused by rocks or other cars, it just exploded putting my wife and I in a dangerous situation having to park on the side of the freeway. We first thought someone shot at us. We stopped the car and it took us a minute to feel safe to go out, trembling, to check car for gun fire. We looked the entire body w
... hile the freeway was full, even for a Sunday, and discovered nothing wrong. As we entered the car and closed our door, we heard the noise of shared glass, so we both left the car again to reinspect it putting our lives in danger as other drivers were passing by. We re-enter the car again and the same thing happened, left the car again to inspect the tires at this time, each time exposing our lives to the freeway traffic. Upon entering the car for the third time, heard freeway noise and thought window was probably opened. It was then that we realized our sunroof was probably broken, upon checking, we were shocked when saw hundreds of pieces of glass on top of our car. It was then that we realized we would have to clean the top of our car with the wind blowing glass everywhere, risking an eye injury, and we were worried another car would be hit with the glass or even worse than that, it would be someone riding a motorcycle which is common on Sunday afternoons and get blind from glass flying from our car to their face. So we spent a while cleaning most of the glass to be able to drive off the freeway, again exposing our lives. During our cleaning of the glass, we put it inside of our car on the floor by the back seats so we would not leave that on the freeway exposing other people to get hurt. During this cleaning time, my wife cut her hand with glass that entered her skin. Not understanding why the accident happened, I’ve decided to research online, only to find that BMW’s x3 having problems with sunroof exploding since 2018, but no recalls! Very upsetting! Subject: Request for Refund on Defective 2025 BMW X7 Hello, I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out regarding ongoing issues with my 2025 BMW X7, which I purchased new. Shortly after purchase, I noticed that cavity fluid began leaking from all four doors and the tailgate. I contacted BMW, and they instructed me to take the vehicle to the service center at the dealership where I mad
... e the purchase. The dealership kept the car for 10 days, and when I picked it up, I noticed that the cavity fluid had damaged the paint on the bottom of the doors. I immediately brought this to the service representative’s attention, and they asked me to leave the vehicle again, sending it to the body shop for repairs. After 7 days, I collected the car, but unfortunately, within two weeks, the cavity fluid began leaking again in the same areas. I returned the vehicle to the service center for the third time, and as of today, it has been another 10 days without receiving the vehicle back. Given the persistent nature of this issue, I contacted BMW to request a return of the vehicle and a refund, but I have not had any success with this request. If I am unable to resolve this matter soon, I may need to consider hiring legal representation to pursue a solution. I would appreciate your prompt assistance in resolving this matter. Had my traverse for two years, second owner. When I received the car, it had to immediately go into the shop as they couldn’t figure out why all sorts of dash lights where coming on. My car was at the dealership for three weeks and ultimately they replaced the chip, stating that was the issue. Two months down the road, I get the shift to park error message starting. Fast forward to 4 months ago
... when the stability error message starts to intermittently come on and off. 30 days ago I got the first of the service charging system message and the battery saver mode. My car shut itself down while I was doing 55 miles per hour on a back country road. Every lthing locked up and I had to force a turn to get out of traffic. It was determined my battery was good but alternator was bad. Checked fuses just to be safe all were good. Replaced the alternator with a new one. As of today, I am not able to drive my vehicle because of this same issue. This time I went ahead and replaced the battery and nothing has changed. They are saying it’s my alternator AGAIN. How is this possible that all of us 2018 traverse drivers are experiencing the exact same malfunctions in order and now we have to repeatedly replace the alternator? There is no way 1000s more of traverse owners are all buying “bad” alternators. Something is going on with this and these vehicles are not safe to drive. I can’t even trade mine in because my credit is shot. I pay way too much for this car to not be able to reliably and safely transport my kids to and from school.Read more

Subject: Urgent Safety Concern Regarding 2024 Kia Telluride – Defective Trim/Molding Adhesive Dear National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), I am writing to report a significant safety concern regarding my 2024 Kia Telluride. Specifically, the horizontal trim/molding located under the windows has defective adhesive, causing these pieces to detach from the vehicle. I am deeply con
... cerned that if these pieces fall off while I am driving, especially on the highway, they could potentially strike another vehicle, leading to an accident. I have brought this issue to the attention of Kia, and they are aware of the problem. In fact, the necessary parts are currently on back order, which indicates that Kia recognizes the widespread nature of the defect. However, despite this acknowledgment, no interim solution has been provided. At this point, I have had to resort to using tape, at my own expense, to temporarily secure the trim pieces and prevent them from falling off. This situation is not only an inconvenience but also poses a serious safety risk to myself and others on the road. My question is: who would bear the liability if a piece were to detach and cause damage or injury to another driver? I believe that Kia, knowing about this defect, should be taking proactive measures to prevent such incidents from occurring. I urge the NHTSA to investigate this issue, as it needs to be escalated due to the potential danger it presents to public safety. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.Read more

There is no safety feature on the automatic sliding doors that prevent them from fully closing on something or someone. Once they begin closing they will not reverse if they encounter an obstacle. I thankfully was on the other side and ran over and threw all my weight backwards for it to stop, again, not reversing. My daughter was driving on the freeway to work around 5am when her sunroof burst onto thousands of pieces. She stated "it sound like a massive explosion and scared her causing her to swerve her car." The cost to repair is estimated $2,400. The dealership said this is a very common issue with the sunroofs to burst like this. My daughter's 2007 eos has less than 100,000 miles on it. Insurance won't total it as nothing is wrong to do so, and other than this window there is absolutely nothing wrong with the car. She can not drive it due to the safety risks of her head being exposed id wrecked, and the car at risk of theft. Please if this happens all the time then why are they not held responsible to replace it? It's just like the leaks on the arms of the hard top that volkswagenis definitelyaware of, and does nothing about. Maybe the un recalled seals that leak in the roof have something to do with the well known sunroof issues, and strings that dry rot out from getting wet. This vehicle is equipped with a power back door (PBD) that has begun to malfunction. March 29, 2024 was the first occurrence of the PBD malfunction when the opened back door would not fully close after clicking the appropriate button on the electronic key switch. There were no warnings that preceded the malfunction. The PBD would only close the back door a few inches before stopping. Additional c

Additional random occurrences of this PBD malfunction have happened over the past six months and have now become so frequent that on September 30, 2024 I turned off (via the multi-information display) the PBD function and must now resort to fully manual opening and closing of the back door. Based on multiple other complaints filed with NHTSA for this particular vehicle (2020 Toyota RAV4; NHTSA ID Numbers 11572353, 11572802, 11573768, 11579590, 11585733), I inspected the edges of the back door, the body's back door cavity, and the two back door spindles for damage, foreign objects, dirt, etc. that might impede PDB operation and found none. I also inspected the two back door hinges and saw no damage, no warping, no corrosion, and no movement of the hinges from their original installation locations. This PBD malfunction affects safety as the force required to manually open and close the back door is significant and operation of the back door might be impossible for people not physically able to effect the force needed. The vehicle is available for inspection and has not yet been inspected by the Toyota dealer where I purchased the vehicle in August 2020 or by others.Read more

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? - The frame is failing. It is available to be inspected but must be inspected on site. The camper is no longer safe to drive. After we heard a loud pop when attaching to the truck and seeing the pinbox move into the nose of the camper, we don't feel comfortable moving it. How was your safety or the
... safety of others put at risk? After speaking to others who have this same problem, there's the possibilities ranging from exterior doors flying open during transit (stuff in our basement coming out and hitting other vehicles) to causing a major (possibly fatal) accident if the welding to the pinbox completely fails. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No, they refuse to send a service technician to my location. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? These symptoms have shown since we bought the camper in March 2024, but we didn't know that they were symptoms of frame failure. - The exterior doors do not close properly anymore and don't seal properly. - The weather stripping on the sides of the filon fell out during transit and were loose in the wind. - A visible flex on the driver's side where the nose connects with the rest of the rig - Screws working themselves out - The pinbox is going inside the nose of the camper when attaching to the truck We've been in contact with Grand Design about this issue. Though we've stated that this camper is no longer safe to drive and have sent sufficient evidence of this issue they refuse to send a technician to my campsite to reinforce and transport this camper for repair. ... has no remedy for the vehicle issues, we are now losing out on any sort of trade in value, and are expected to pay the mileage over the lease agreement for a car that will be scrapped once returned. The dealer can only do so much, but Volkswagen not stepping in to acknowledge the vehicle at this point is a lemon and they do not know how to fix it or others, but expecting us to pay "depreciation" and other fees for a totaled vehicle, totaled due to their issues, is unacceptable. It's one thing for defects, another to not be able to fix them and them dump the cost to the consumer. This vehicle has been a financial burden and for the last few months has been a safety concern, and the final result is we as the consumer have to pay the price for it. Fix your design flaws, take responsibility, or don't sell consumers defective products with no support/solutions and dump costs on them. The fact one open recall means the vehicle could lose all electronics (an electric car) and have no insight into vehicle controls while driving, but we have to pay for the defect upon return is ridiculous. Lemon law will be coming into play here as no solution to the issue or remedy for the costs incurred. Being that this could have caused an accident or otherwise harmed my family or others and again the cost is dumped on us is ridiculous. If the engineers in Germany cannot fix the vehicle and have no solution, take it off the roads and find us a solution, at your cost not ours.Read more

2024 Ford Ranger Trucks made in Michigan between January 4, 2024 to July 15, 2024 do not include the load box reinforcement bracket. Without this bracket installed, if the owner were to place more than 88lbs onto one or both bed side rails the bed could crack, warp, bend, or break. If operators of this vehicle are not aware and do load the bed side rails over 88lbs, this could pose a safety issu
... e to the driver or other drivers on the road around the vehicle. Ford has not notified all owners of affected vehicles, and in my case I found out my vehicle was affected out of sheer curiosity and reading forums with posts of other owners whose vehicles are also affected. Ford is currently not willing to address the issue without additional cost burden on the vehicle owner.Read more

While driving in the highway at 60 mph, the top of the front grille flew off, hit the hood, and impacted the windshield before flying off to the passenger side of the vehicle. It impacted multiple locations on the passenger side of the vehicle as it flew off. Nothing hit the grille at the time it flew off. We were driving on a busy highway. Thankfully, the cars behind us were at a safe distance.
... If there were a motorcycle or another vehicle, it could have seriously injured someone or caused them to swerve their vehicle. Researching this online, multiple owners of the same vehicle have experienced the same issue. Many experiencing it when traveling at highway speeds. It seems like the thin plastic tabs that attach the top grille piece to the front of the vehicle are not strong enough to hold it. No damage had been done to the grille prior to the incident. I always use a touchless car wash, so it wasn’t loosened by that. I haven't contacted insurance or filed a police report. I'm hopeful the damage will be covered under the manufacturer warrant.Read more
