On multiple occasions I have had the tailgate come open/fail to close. Other year Rams have a recall and I believe this year should be included. I have installed a gas shock to help slow it and hold in place. The front brakes have had issues with sticking or not releasing after applying them. I have replaced the unit and does the same thing so I like others believe it might be the brake
... hose collapsing then releasing especially on the air ride suspension models. In stop and go traffic they will pull or get extremely hot and I’m worried it might melt the tire bead or worse.Read more

Frontal detection sensors randomly go off usually while sitting stationary at traffic lights or stop signs, when there are no cars around the vicinity of my vehicle. The paint is peeling everywhere on my vehicle
Incident date: Nov 20, 2024
The painting on my 2015 Buick Encore started peeling about 2 years ago and has continued to worsen, and I am concerned about the longevity and overall appearance of my vehicle. As a loyal customer, I expect the paint job to last for a reasonable amount of time, and I believe this issue should be addressed by the manufacturer. I would like to request that Buick fixes this issue free of charge. I un

This is particularly concerning as the peeling paint is affecting the resale value of my car, and I would like to maintain its value as much as possible. I understand that paint issues can occur, and I appreciate that this is not necessarily a reflection on the overall quality of the vehicle. However, I am requesting that Buick take responsibility for this issue and repair the paint free of charge. I believe that the paint peeling issue is covered under the vehicle's warranty, and I hope that I am hopeful that Buick will make every effort to keep this cost to a minimum and to ensure that I am not left out of pocket for a problem that is beyond my control.Read more

We purchased the 2019 Jeep Cherokee new from a Jeep dealership. At 15,000 miles (approx.) the hood began to bounce up and down 1/2" to 3/4" while driving at highway speeds, driving into a wind or following a semi-truck. In addition to the obviously concern over the safety of the hood bouncing and potentially unlatching, this causes the auto start/stop function of the engine to malfunction. We ha
... d the Jeep dealership inspect the problem several times under the 36,000 mile warranty period and they adjusted the hood each time, but the hood bouncing would return in a matter of days or a week. They failed to resolve the issue under warranty. Now, we have 79,300 miles on the vehicle and the hood was inspected by a Jeep dealership and it has been adjusted to the maximum adjustment and the hood still bounces dangerously. The dealership now tells us that the panel bond in the hood is broken and has compromised the strength of the hood and that the hood should be replaced. The dealer compared our hood and latch to the hoods and latches of similar vehicles on the lot to make the determination of the broken hood bond. Jeep Consumer Care tells us that Jeep will not cover the hood replacement even though this constitutes a safety issue of the hood potentially unlatching at highway speeds. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate and implement a safety recall.Read more

I am writing to express my concern regarding a significant safety issue with my 2002 Honda Accord's subframe. This design flaw has caused concentrated corrosion over time, significantly weakening the subframe and making the vehicle unsafe to drive. As the subframe supports essential component

This could lead to loss of control while driving, endangering both the driver and others on the road. Subject: Urgent Safety Concern and Request for Immediate Resolution – Cracked Sunroof on Tesla Model Y 2024 To Whom It May Concern, My name is [XXX] , a United States citizen and resident of Florida. I am writing to formally express my deep concern and dissatisfaction regarding a significant safety issue with my Tesla Model Y 2024, which I purchased directly through Tesla’s official website.
... To date, my vehicle has never been involved in any accident and has been consistently stored in a secure garage, ensuring that it remains free from external damage. Issue Description: Recently, I discovered that the glassroof of my Tesla Model Y has developed noticeable cracks. This issue is perplexing and unacceptable, especially considering the vehicle has not been subjected to any conditions that could cause such damage. The sudden appearance of these cracks suggests a potential manufacturing defect or poor assembly quality, both of which are serious concerns for vehicle safety and integrity. Previous Communication: Upon discovering the issue, I promptly contacted Tesla Service to report the problem and seek assistance. Unfortunately, my claim was denied without a satisfactory explanation or resolution. This denial not only exacerbates my frustration but also raises significant concerns about the quality control and customer support standards upheld by Tesla. Safety Concerns: A cracked roof compromises the structural integrity of the vehicle and poses substantial safety risks to me and my passengers. glassroof malfunctions can lead to unexpected failures, potentially resulting in accidents or injury. Additionally, the aesthetic damage detracts from the overall value and appeal of the vehicle. Request for Immediate Action: Given the severity of this issue, I respectfully request the following: Immediate Investigation: A thorough investigation into the cause of the glassroof cracks, including a detailed assessment of potential manufacturing defects or assembly INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMRead more

... after 2 wks as promised. so far the temp repair was holding, but contacted Keystone to schedule them to repair. They were booked for months but referred us to Affinity RV in Goshen IN. Last week we delivered the unit for repair , they discovered flex frame damage outside & inside the unit. Affinity indicated many other units with same issues and would contact Keystone to cover the repairs - removing front cap, rewelding the cracks in frame and reinforcing the structure of the slide out & front cap area. the slide out is a small closet unit, not even a heavy full size slide. Affinity was very helpful & informative despite uncovering more issues than we originally thought. We are filing a report with NHTSA as we are not the only consumers with flex frame issues with a Lippert frame. This repair may cost thousands of dollars if the manufacturer does not cover this. we have seen many reports on line, of possible law suits with Lippert and manufacturers of RV's with this same problem. Paint bubbling on roof. When turning on key, the radio makes a loud buzzing sound. On 11/16/2024, when leaving a traffic light, the truck began surging and shuddering. Tachometer was revving up and down like the transmission was slipping with loss of power while trying to take off and accelerate. While attempting to return home, loud booming noise was coming in from under floorboard. I was un
... sure if I would make it home before the transmission totally failed. People were passing around me because I was unable to acceleration fast enough because of the shuddering and loss of power. No previous signs of any powertrain issues or failures before. It happened for the 1st time today, and my truck is no longer safe to drive. GM has known about this transmission issue for years on several different models and has failed to broadly rectify the mechanical problem on all affected vehicles. Instead, GM has allowed the vehicle owners to continue to drive a vehicle with a known problem while it waited for a failure. This put me and my family at risk because I am driving around in a vehicle with a known transmission problem not knowing when it would fail or where I could be located when it failed. GM needs to pay for all repairs on all vehicles with this transmission failure because GM has known about this problem for years before someone gets hurt or killed. GM knew about the shuddering problem from the beginning, and they fixed the problem by tuning the transmission which then caused the total transmission failures over time which vehicles owners are not dealing with. Metal shavings are being located in the pan when inspected. GM should be held responsible for the cost of these transmission repairs. I would have never purchased the GMC Sierra 1500 if I have known GM was installing defective transmissions in new vehicles. That is shady, reckless, and unsafe. GM, pay to fix these problems.Read more
