I have noticed that the engine light on my BMW X7 keeps turning on after long rides but then disappears after some time. Upon inspection, I was informed that the issue is related to the active grille shutter, which is located in the front part of the body. While researching to see if others have experienced the same issue, I discovered that many BMW X5 and X7 owners have reported similar problems
... . It appears to be a common issue with these models. I believe BMW should consider issuing a recall for this problem since it seems to affect a significant number of vehicles in this range.Read more

Our 2016 MDX starting peeling paint off the roof. Acura said they extended the warranty for this known defect for an 8 year period. Since this problem just happened we are outside the 8 year extension. The internet is full of similar stories of people like us who have the paint peeling after the bogus 8 year extension. Acura said they aren't responsible. This isn't right.

This unit is suffering from frame failure. Cargo doors have started opening on the freeway, cabinets are rubbing the wallpaper from frame flex, the forward floor has started squeaking, the forward lower exterior trim panel on the drivers' side is buckling, the forward walls have started creaking and popping when hitching up/unhitching and the pin-box "sinks" more than it ever did in the past when
... hitching up. I am very worried since these are all symptoms of frame failure. I've taken the unit to an authorized Grand Design repair center and so far, am not getting any support from Grand Design to actually fix the frame, the root cause for all of these symptoms. I'm worried if I accept the trailer and continue to use it, the problem will progress and we could end up with a complete failure while on the freeway.Read more

The paint on my vehicle is peeling off- roof, around all windows and expanding. I went to a Toyota Dealership Part Counter to get touch-up paint and they told me that color had a paint recall. (Every time I wash the vehicle it gets worse.) I asked to speak with a service manager at Toyota, 11/2024 and was informed that the paint color (0070 Blizzard Pearl) had a recall for peeling off. Their
... recall solution is to bring the vehicle to a certified Toyota Collision center and they will repaint the vehicle affected by the recall. It's not a safety recall, but rather a CSP(Customer Support Program). Unfortunately, even if you service the vehicle at a dealership it is unlikely they would share the CSP information, only a safety recall information. Instead, a CSP is mailed to you. I contacted Toyota customer service and they mailed the CSP notice in 2020 to the previous owner's address. Toyota then extended the CSP expiration to 5/13/2024 on 12/11/2022, but failed to mail an additional extension of the CSP notice to me. Toyota did confirm they had my contact information during that timeframe. Toyota did send me other safety recalls from 12/11/2022 to 5/13/2024, so they had my contact information to notify me of the CSP paint recall. I was told since the CSP expired 05/2024 that they will not repaint my vehicle and I will have to pay to repaint. Toyota is being unethical, dishonorable, scandalous, shifty, discreditable, parsimonious and immoral. As they did not act with due diligence to notify their customer the paint was going to literally fall off of the car. I was laid off and can not afford to pay to repaint it. They need to act in good faith to rectify this issue and repaint my vehicle. Had I been notified 2 years ago, I would have certainly had them repaint it. On September, 21 2024 I scheduled an appointment with the Tesla Service Center for the “Front Row Curtain Airbag” recall to be performed. October 30th, I took my 2022 Model X Plaid to the Tesla Service Center for the recall work to be performed. During the repair, their service technician BROKE-OFF an anchor nut that secures the airbag to the A-pillar. The advisor said in order to “fix” i
... t they would need to take the car to a body shop to have a “new” anchor nut welded onto the A-pillar. I was told this repair would require cutting open the A-pillar to access the location where the nut should be welded. Cutting the A-pillar will compromise the structural integrity of the vehicle's roof. And retrofitting a new mounting point for the side curtain airbag will compromise the effectiveness of the airbag in the event of an accident. The manufacturer's airbag recall "fix" does not involve cutting open the A-pillar to weld in a new mounting point for the vehicle's airbag. Performing the airbag recall in this manner creates a greater safety issue for my vehicle. Therefore, this "recall repair" should not be allowed to be performed on my vehicle.Read more

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a manufacturing defect in my vehicle and the refusal by Toyota to honor its responsibilities for repair despite clear acknowledgment of the issue. In October 2024, I discovered a small water leak from the roof of my vehicle. I attempted to schedule an appointment with the nearest Toyota dealer, but the timing of their available appointments confli
... cted with my work schedule, and it was not possible for me to get a timely appointment. In an effort to mitigate the leak, I tried to fix it myself until I could get the vehicle to the dealership. Upon visiting the dealership, I was informed that the issue was a manufacturing defect, but they refused to repair my vehicle because I had attempted to fix the issue myself. This worsened the leak, as they did not return my vehicle to its original condition. I was then informed that I would have to bear the full cost of repairs. I had no prior knowledge of any recall associated with my vehicle. After conducting my own research, I discovered that Toyota had acknowledged the manufacturing defect affecting my vehicle model but had not notified me or issued a recall. I reached out to Toyota’s customer service, and they assured me that they would approve the repair through the dealership. However, after approximately a month of waiting, Toyota informed me that they would not cover the costs of the repair, and they declined to take any further responsibility.Read more

Tailgate releases on its own while parked, without the use of the switch. Tailgate released on its own with my trailer attached while parked on many occasions. The result of the Tailgate releasing caused damage to the upper section of the Tailgate, the "kicker speaker system" in the Tailgate and Tailgate switch located on the upper section of the Tailgate. There also have been multiple times when
... attaching the trailer that the Tailgate has released and struck me in the head. The Tailgate also fills with water during rain, and carwashes. The damage caused by the Tailgate releasing is a dent on the upper section of the multi-pro Tailgate and rust and malfunction of the " kicker speaker system " as well as the occasional hickey and headache on my head. The Tailgate has filled up with water since I purchased it new in December of 2020 which I believe has been electricly shorting the Tailgate switch/button releasing the Tailgate randomly. Due to my particular 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 CarbonPro having the " kicker speaker system " in my opinion makes the Tailgate so much heavier than one without it that it made the damages such as the dent in the face above the Tailgate switch much worse than trucks without it also causing more water to enter the Tailgate causing more damage to the switch and components of the " kicker speaker system ", such as the amp and buttons for it not to mention my head on several occasions.Read more

This trailer has a dangerous design flaw. This trailer is called a "Tilt Trailer," and the bed of trailer tilts to allow machines to drive onto the ramp. The design flaw is the location of the tie-down rings. The "D-rings" are welded to the bed, and not the frame of the trailer. This allows the bed of the trailer to bounce. When a machine is on the trailer, the bed will continue to bounce and
... become worse. The only thing that prevents the bed from bouncing is the "Draw bar" under the trailer. However, this bar starts to bend overtime, and the bounce becomes more extreme. Other tilt trailer manufactures have the D-rings welded to the frame, which eliminates any bouncing when tied down tight and correctly. On this particular trailer, the bouncing of the bed on the frame has caused the frame of the trailer to crack. Please see pictures, and note: D-ring locations, Crack in Frame, and bent draw bar under trailer.Read more

How was your safety or the safety o others put at risk? On [XXX], I bought a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek. Unfortunately, I fell into the bad and abusive practice of buying a car as is since at no time did that used car dealer in Raleigh inform about the correction and rust that is underneath the car. If they had said so, I would not buy the car since it cannot be fixed and at the Subaru dealer where I

In September, when it did not pass the inspection, I came to find out about the situation of the poor condition underneath the car. It had a leaking muffler and they had to repair it so that the car could pass inspection. I present other situations; but the worst is the state of deterioration. BBB and Consumer Protective, I made complaints and nothing was the result; Because they offered through BBB a settlement at a supposedly low price (I did not accept because I did not trust the sale due to bad faith) and through Consumer Protection, they told me to go to court. I went to court because up to $10,000.00usd, they will see the case without legal assistance; I did not qualify because that dealer sold the car for more than $10,000.00usd. The government could veto the law on car sales as it is, because they abuse and continue selling risky cars and the problem falls on the buyer. Please!! I need a help in this situation. Thank you.
