On [XXX] I took the truck to Ford dealer after noticing the front floor passenger side carpet was wet and door locks and electronic tire pressure indicator failed to operate correctly. Ford service dept found a/c drain was letting water back into passenger compartment and caused body control module (bcm) failure. Bcm was replaced after 2 1/2 months in the service dept. Returned on 8/26/24, 9/18/24
... , and 10/22/24 for same water intrusion problem. Different repair done on 10/22/24 to remedy problem. Service dept contacted Ford national office and learned this was considered a design flaw by Ford. Expected a recall will be issued. Remedial treatment for mold was applied because I had been smelling a vinegar smell in the truck cab which is typical smell for presence of mold. This is the primary safety issue I believe exists, but failure of body control module could cause other safety problems. . No recall issued yet.Read more

The vehicle is painted in Blizzard Pearl, which has a known peeling issue. Toyota never sent us any notification of an issue with the paint. A patch of the paint has peeled off of the top of the vehicle and has continued to grow larger. When we contacted Toyota, we were informed the period to fix this issue has closed and we would have to repair out of pocket. Our vehicle was mostly garage kept a
... nd didn't suffer the immediate failure of the paint. Blizzard Pearl is a color with an additional cost and has the most complaints for failure. Toyota has acknowledged the problem but did very little to ensure customers were notified, did not take into account Blizzard Pearl painted vehicles would fail at different times due to climate/storage of vehicles, and only provided a narrow window to their customers for this issue. The peeled paint has exposed the body of the vehicle to the elements, which will cause it to rust.Read more

I was driving down [XXX] and heard what sounded like an explosion/loud bang sound and shattered glass. The shattered sunroof not only terrified me while driving but caused me to be so distracted that I almost caused an accident injuring myself and/or others. After calling the police, they came to clean the large pieces of glass off of the top and provided a report number and told me I could finish my drive home with my husband following behind me. I called Mercedes customer care and reported the issue and was informed to have the road side service pick the car up to be inspected at the dealership. I have owned the car for 1 month and a half. I was involved in a front end collision [XXX] that caused my vehicle to be totaled and me to be transported to the hospital via an ambulance. I purchased the vehicle with the understanding that it had numerous safety features including airbags throughout. During this accident my impact completely crumpled my engine compartment and left portions of my engine were left lying around. The only air
... bag to deploy was the skirt one below the steering wheel column. The curtain one over my driver door and the steering wheel one did not deploy. I sustained a concussion, post concussion syndrome, chest wall injury, hematoma and abrasions to my left arm and both legs. The bruises sustained to my abdomen make it look like I am still wearing my seatbelt. The post concussion syndrome has caused me memory loss for the entire day, before and after the accident other than a moment here or there. I cannot remember the accident or what led up to it. I continue to have headaches and nausea. I am really just looking for answers on why my other airbags did not deploy. Ford has declined to inspect the airbags unless I agree to have the vehicle brought to one of their inspection locations. On 08/17/17 I purchased a new Outback off a Subaru dealers' lot. The fall of 2023 I noticed rust starting on the column portion of the driver's side door. It is on the CAR INTERIOR, ABOVE THE WINDOW. This is a highly unusual area for rust to start. Typically rust starts on the bottom of a car, not 2/3 of the way up from the bottom. I was told by the dealership that it was not covered under war
... ranty, and I was on my own. On 10/22/24 I went to an autobody shop to have the rust repaired. I was told that based off of the bubbling that was occurring on the rust, the rust is not surface rust but occurring on the interior of the door. He said that this was a flaw in production as this should not be occurring. This is evident by the fact that there is no rust on any of the other doors or anywhere else on the car. I called the Subaru dealership and had them look at it. They did not have an autobody shop but the appointment clerk submitted a request for a review to Subaru of Americ. The outcome of the review was a rejection due to being beyond the warranty of the car. This was a production error. I drove out of the lot with a defective door. This resulted in the door being completely rusted on the interior as is evident by the rust through on the INTERIOR of the door. Also, the rust is now presenting itself on the bottom seam. To have this patched is a waste of money as the whole door interior is rusted. I am concerned about the integrity of the door. If I was T-boned or in a roll-over accident, would this door provide the safety I am expecting from a fairly new car? I believe it will crumble in a pile of rust. Subaru is aware of this issue as there are a couple of forums about this reoccurring problem. I hope enough people file a complaint so some action can be taken to keep us safe. I am now forced to pay out $3,368.53 in order to replace the door so I and my passengers have the safest auto construction this car should offer. Car is available.Read more

In November 2024, the sunroof mechanism failed in a crooked, partially open position and would no longer move. The motor operated, but there was a grinding noise and no movement of the sunroof. I had to return from North Carolina to Alabama in the rain with a partially open sunroof. The service department at Bramlett Kia in Decatur, Alabama, confirmed the sunroof mechanism has to be replaced. The
... service technician said the electrical cable to the sunroof was caught in the mechanism. Parts were ordered and took several weeks to be shipped. The sunroof is to be repaired next week. This is obviously a defective design and could lead to safety issues if the sunroof were to become detached while the vehicle is moving. My sunroof has stayed in place but the mechanism is bent on both sides and loose in one corner. I don't know if the sunroof is still being held safely by the mechanism. Parts invoice ($2907) is attached. Labor is estimated at $1000 but I do not yet have the invoice.Read more

We are showing many signs of excessive frame flex/failure in our 2023 Grand Design Momentum 397THS. Our baggage/storage doors do not properly fit nor lock. The RV was in the shop from Jan-May 2023 to address this. Had the doors replaced and resealed. They still are not flush with the RV, still barely latch, and have popped open while driving. While in the shop, they addressed but "could not dupl
... icate" the underbelly continuously filling with water when it rains. Excessive amounts of water that saturate all of the insulation-- causing us to drive with extra weight until we can stop and replace it all. Not sure where the water even comes from. Our filon around the hitch is seperating. Our pinch molding on both sides completely falls out. The screws holding front cap to roof popped out, sealant broken. There is wall separation in the lower deck. This causes excess rubbing of the walls, popping trim pieces off, and dust left after any movement of the RV. There is loud creaking and popping as we lift our RV off of our truck. The lag bolts are unscrewing themselves from the frame in the upper deck. Slide in the upper deck is digging into the flooring, leaving indentations, while in transit. Floor creaking in upper deck. Our electrical wiring for our running lights/turn signals/brake lights, as well as our leveling system wires were zip tied to the spindle of our slide. This caused the wires to wrap around over and over and slice themselves apart. In turn causing ALL of those systems to fail-- no running lights, no turn signals, no brake lights, and our jacks would not go down.Read more

We have signs of excessive frame flex in a Grand Design Reflection RV. We have allowed them 2x to inspect and they have botched both inspections. We keep being told there is no TSB or frame flex in reflections, which is not accurate as there are owners who have had cracked welds and major frame failure in reflections units. Grand Design needs to step up and support all customers not just momentum
... and solitudes because they are under investigation. I urge the NHTSA to expand their investigation to all Grand Design Models. Here is the list of signs of upper desk frame flex we have in our unit: 1. Lag bolts were backing out in bedroom (these have been replaced during the 2 botched inspections) 2. Graphics slightly bunching near trim 3. Screws backing out that hold on philon trim (we have been having to keep tightening them). 4. Philon trim had shifted significantly since it was just replaced (after 1 hr drive home from shop where my husband confirmed there were not gaps). 5. We also do have some noise hitching and unhitching like a creaking. We had 1st inspection in early 2024. It was botched. GD dealer did not follow procedures. We had 2nd late 2024. This too was botched. We have requested a GD SRT be sent to do a proper inspection and repair with us being able to observe the inspection. This request still unresolved going on a month. We have had our main door fixed multiple times because it does not close properly (could result in door opening while in motion). This could be due to frame flexing. We had a major issue on a trip in Nov 2023 in which both of our axles “bent” and we almost blew our 2 tires. This could have been catastrophic and we believe this may be due to under designed components or frame flexing. We also have frame cracks (at least one on each side of the ibeam main frame) that have been confirmed and are scheduled for repair 1/22/25. 1. Frame - yes 2. See above 3. See above 4. See above 5. It is not the normal VW squeal -- it is a grinding that causes the car to shake. I was told by my local VW that "Apparently you've never driven high performance vehicles before--that's normal". Uh, no it is not normal. Often times when shifting into drive from park (even on flat ground) the shifter is hard to move and then makes an awful clunking noise. Coolant disappears. And, indicator light does not come on. I was refilling the wiper fluid reservoir and noticed the coolant reservoir was almost empty, however, no light has come on.
