I was driving home from work on the highway, when the top part of the front grill broke off and flew up hitting the windshield. It caused me to abruptly swerve into the other lane of the highway. Luckily there was nobody in the other lane. The part could of also hit another car that was behind me. Going on line, I see this is quite common issue for 2022 GMC trucks and it occurs on the same con

The glass panel placed between the windshield and the Panoramic sunroof blew out with no external forces. Looking at other cases from online, this appears to be a problem dating back to the 2019 model. Attached are photos from the date of incident (12/31/2024) from 1/3/2025 and 1/17/2025.

HondaLink app has major defects which impact safety and operation of the vehicle. Locking and unlocking the doors via the app doesn't work half the time. This causes a safety issue to access the vehicle if my keys are not readily available. Additionally the app notifies me that my charging is complete on the vehicle when it in fact is not charged to the set charging level. This could cause issues
... with operation of the vehicle if someone stops charging when receiving this notification. This could cause the vehicle to not have sufficient battery upon using the vehicle. Additionally, the tire pressure readout shown in the app doesn't work half the time. The app has a very long response time to do most tasks, or times out meaning the task doesn't complete. Additionally, there is a wind noise developing with the vehicle when driving around 35mph or greater, it is loud when driving the vehicle and sounds like the drivers window is cracked open, however it is not.Read more

Our 2018 Honda Odyssey has continued to experience power sliding door issues that were initially addressed by NHTSA campaign numbers 18V795 and 20V437000. Our vehicle underwent the recommended repairs in both campaigns. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request, and the problem was reproduced by a dealer. In short, after undergoing both warranty repairs, the same problems gradually c
... ropped up again. When attempting to close the door with the power-close button, the sliding door would sometimes stop about three-quarters of the way, and then open fully again. This would happen even when nothing was obstructing the sensor. This happened on both sides of the vehicle (i.e., both sliding doors), and eventually the doors ceased working altogether (albeit at different times) and we brought the vehicle to Honda for a non-warranty repair. The dealer was able to reproduce the problem in both doors, and they made the necessary repair in both cases (see attached invoices). Now, very similar issues have cropped up again, and our concern is that the initial warranty repairs may not have sufficiently addressed the root cause of the issue with these sliding doors. Once again the door sounds like it isn't latching completely. It's hard to describe, but everyone knows the sound in a vehicle when a window or a door is cracked just a little bit. The sound is exactly like that. The dealer told us that moisture intrusion and/or a latching issue may have caused this problem, and we also experienced a severed cable. Word for word, these are almost exactly the issues that campaign numbers 18V795 and 20V437000 were intended to address. If these are indeed the same issues that were the focus of the two recalls, then our vehicle is at risk of the same safety failures, i.e., the sliding doors opening while driving, failing to latch, and/or the snapping of the outer door handle cables due to moisture intrusion.Read more

While driving at interstate speeds the sunroof window shattered outward. This was not the result of a rock or flying ice event as no other cars where near by at the time. I have found that many others have experienced this issue and Kia refuses to cover the repairs even though it appears to be an issue with Kia Telluride sunroofs. If the sun shade had been open at the time both me and my 12 year o
... ld son would have been covered with glass and this could have caused a high speed accident from the glass and the sound of the explosion. Kia needs to address this issue but our request for compensation has been denied. Also Kia refused to provide documentation of this denial as it was in an email from the local dealer to Kia.Read more

Dear NHTSA, I am filing a formal complaint regarding Tesla's refusal to properly address a critical safety recall on my vehicle (Recall Number 24V554). This recall involves a significant safety issue that Tesla is legally obligated to remedy free of charge under the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. The required over-the-air software update associated with this recall repeatedly fai
... ls to install, getting stuck at 50% completion. I scheduled a service appointment and took the vehicle to Tesla for assistance. However, Tesla informed me that they will not diagnose the issue or investigate why their software update fails to install unless I agree to pay $255.00 for a general diagnosis. Additionally, they require me to pre-approve a total of $2,658.28, including the diagnostic fee, in case the computer needs to be replaced. This approach leaves me unable to proceed with a mandatory safety recall and directly contradicts Tesla’s legal obligation to repair safety-related defects at no cost to the consumer. I urge the NHTSA to investigate Tesla's practices concerning this recall and their apparent refusal to adhere to their obligations under the law. This situation raises concerns about Tesla’s commitment to addressing safety-critical issues in a manner that ensures public safety and compliance with federal regulations. Thank you for your attention to this matter.Read more

Trunk latch releases randomly. Like so many other people with this generation of Ford Fiesta. They have taken them in for the same issue and told they don't by the shop that they don't know what the problem is. The problem is random so getting to to happen while at the shop is next to impossible. If the problem can't be reproduced by a garage mechanic, how would Insurance, or police have any luck

Liftgate/Back Hatch consistently immediately automatically closes after opening, and has hit both drivers on the head before able to move out of the way. More detail: to open the back, one pushes a button, the rear hatch beeps, and then it automatically opens. During this, the user often leans inside once the opening is open enough. HOWEVER, recently when the door reaches its apex, it beeps
... again and immediately automatically starts closing, oftentimes hitting people on the head (thus, a safety issue, and it HURTS). Sometimes one has to re-open the door 3 or more times before it will stay open. Have contacted dealer, and the dealer literally said "the manual says sometimes it won't work when it's cold out." Hood vibrates wildly with high winds/driving over 65mph/ or tractor trailer passing by on a 2 lane rd. Many times I pull over on the side of the highway inspecting the hood to see if its open but no the latch is closed. Upon research on Ram truck forums this appears to be a massive problem. the 1500 series has a recall TSB 23-029-18 issued but not the 2500, 3500 series. The aluminum hood is flims

Just stopping on the side of the highway to inspect the hood is dangerous enough. my intention was to buy a solid truck not a paper tiger of a truck. The vehicle experienced multiple defects, including: Overheating due to a malfunctioning cooling fan motor relay. Exterior A-pillar trim detachment. Persistent starting issues, even after replacing the battery. The vehicle is no longer in my possession due to repossession, so inspection may not be possible. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The overheating issue posed a r
... isk of engine failure while driving. The detached A-pillar trim could have caused a road hazard for other drivers if it fell off while in motion. The starting issues left me stranded on multiple occasions, which could have been dangerous in certain environments. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes, the dealership confirmed the issues but stated the vehicle needed to meet specific conditions (e.g., 100 miles for certain repairs) and required costly repairs that I couldn’t afford. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? The vehicle was inspected by the dealership, but Ford Motor Company has not performed any direct inspections to my knowledge. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? For the overheating issue, the engine temperature warning light appeared intermittently. For the starting issue, there were no warning lights; the vehicle simply failed to start on multiple occasions. The A-pillar trim issue was visibly apparent, but no specific warning messages were displayed.Read more

The door locks on all four doors keep freezing and will not stay locked. I have to thaw them out with a hair dryer to get them to lock closed. With my kids in the vehicle and driving down the road at normal operating speeds the doors will just pop open enough to hear the road noise outside and the interior lights come on along with the doors open warning on the main dash. My children have to hold

While this happens I am forced to go lower than normal speed limits and drastically slow down in turns just to keep the doors from swinging open while completing the turns all while my kids hold onto the doors. This is extremely dangerous. But I'm forced to do this as my kids need to get to school and I need to get to work. I have read that Ford has chosen this is not a concern for recall. The seam seals on the rear driver's quarter panel of the vehicle are faulty and allowed water to flow into the cabin of the vehicle. The resulting damage was loss of function to the rear power lift gate, front seats, remote start and other key fob functions, as well as a dead battery(assumedly due to arcing on wet circuitry). The damage rendered the lift gate inoperable as I it initially closed
... but came open during operation. We continued to receive a power lift gae problem on the "Heads Up Display" but the power gate would not open or close, electrically or manually. After a few days the gate opened but would not close, rendering the vehicle unsafe to operate. Furthermore, the battery was dead and would not start. Had this incicdent not occurred in our driveway we could have been susceptible to being stranded in sub-freezing temperatures with kids. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and they confirmed a roof leak was a cause of the water incursion. The power lift gate module and floor harness were damaged causing failures to lift gate operation and other electronics. It will cost $7000 to have it repaired at the local Honda dealer. Pending completion of repairs and paperwork for submission.Read more

I am writing to formally report a significant issue with my vehicle that has resulted in damage to the roof and potential long-term integrity concerns. The liftgate spoiler is contacting the roof in freezing temperatures, which creates a hole in the roof when opening the liftgate. Upon inspection, it appears there is an insufficient margin between the liftgate spoiler and the roof area centerline
... . This problem is particularly concerning because a hole in the roof allows moisture to penetrate, jeopardizing the structural integrity of the roof and potentially leading to further damage, such as rust or water intrusion into the vehicle. I believe this issue may be the result of a design flaw and would like to request an immediate inspection and resolution. As this defect directly impacts the durability and safety of the vehicle, I urge you to treat this matter as a priority. Please let me know how this issue can be resolved, including any repairs, adjustments, or recalls that may apply. I am happy to provide photographs or additional documentation if needed.Read more

Hyundai Motor America (HMA) denied my engine replacement claim (PA# [XXX]) under their extended warranty program, specifically campaign TXXI. This claim involves my 2016 Hyundai Sonata SE 2.4 , VIN # [XXX] , which exhibits all the symptoms and engine damage outlined in the campaign, yet my request for a free engine replacement has been unjustly denied. Campaign TXXI, as explained in the Technical
... Service Bulletin issued by Hyundai, extends the engine warranty applicable to 2015-2019 model year Sonata (LF) vehicles equipped with Theta II 2.0L Turbo and 2.4L GDI engines. This warranty covers engine long block repair or replacement due to engine damage or malfunction from connecting rod bearing wear and extends to a Limited Lifetime Warranty, valid for both original and subsequent owners. o On or about [XXX], my vehicle exhibited a blinking check engine light on the dash, entered into limp mode, and a knocking noise was coming from the engine. o As I was driving the vehicle to the Hyundai of North Miami Service Center on [XXX] (21400 NW 2nd av., Miami, FL 33169) for inspection, the engine locked up and stop, necessitating a call to a towing truck company to complete the trip. o Upon inspection, the service center identified significant engine damage, including, engine mechanical failure unable to turn on, and recommended that the vehicle require a new engine replacement. o These findings align with the engine damage described under campaign TXXI. o Despite meeting the campaign criteria, HMA denied my claim (PA#XXX) for an engine replacement on 11/22/2024. o HMA based its denial to my claim on the review of engine pictures and my inability to provide evidence supporting oil maintenance intervals between 35k- 68k miles, 78k-99k miles, and 142k-163k miles. HMA cited these maintenance gaps as the basis for suspecting engine neglect, some indications of sludge found on the engine, as the reason for the engine failure and subsequent locking.
