My concern relates to the recall campaign for 24V623000 reduction in regenerative braking. The slow roll out of this campaign caused this unrepaired recall to result in a crash of the vehicle resulting in a complete loss. While driving on a highway in subzero temperatures, the driver let off the accelerator to slow the vehicle around a corner. At this point the vehicle lost the expected braking
... and began to lose control. This sent the vehicle to understeer and toward oncoming traffic. An attempt to correct sent the vehicle out of control and into a collision with barriers, spinning across the road with the rear door on the driver's side completely ripped from the body. While the driver was not hurt, it is quite possible that a passenger could have been thrown from the vehicle and seriously injured. This is an obvious serious safety risk to not only the occupants of the car, but such loss of control could have resulted in death or serious injury without emergency corrective action and frankly a little luck. It is particularly concerning that very few of these recalls have apparently been addressed. It has been shared that fewer than 10% of the public vehicles have had this issue addressed, months after the recall was announced. I feel that had this issue been addressed in a timely manner this incident would not have occurred and I fear for others that might find themselves in a similar perilous situation.Read more

I've had to replace the 12v battery in my ID.4 due to battery failure twice since I've owned it, and according to the service department at VW, the battery was replaced on delivery too. The infotainment screen randomly blanks out while driving and is especially problematic when I'm backing the car up because the backup camera cuts out and is a huge safety issue. Lastly, the windows roll down when I press up on the switch which has caused a bunch of issues when driving in snow/rain. We started noticing issues on our RV and reported it to Grand Design. ... repeatedly popping off on travel days. Based on the issues, we took it to a a GD dealer (La Mesa in Sanford FL) for inspection. After measurements I was told by Grand Design that it was excessive frame flex. The philon was removed by the dealer and in that small section no obvious cracks were noted. They replaced lag bolts from the inside. We asked if they would remeasure and they said that Grand Design didn't require that, but they would. We were told that the measurements did not change after the lag bolts were replaced. They did not fill out the official form since Grand Design didn't require it. They repaired the stress cracks in the paint, but the dealer told me that the wallpaper shifting and sawdust was normal. We took the vehicle and then the caulking all cracked where the philon attached (the same places that bolts broke and were loose prior to. I am concerned that there was not further inspection, so I called Grand Design. They said the measurements are in spec and always have been, so he's not sure why anything was done. I literally had to call them and email them every day for 2 months to try to get any kind of answer. They came back and said that the problem is not theirs. That the issue must have happened due to impact. We have reached out to Lippert (again, will never buy an RV with a Lippert frame again and yes, I know they provide the largest percent of frames to the RV industry but there are also a lot of issues with the frames. Most people sign NDA's to get their problem settled. I probably would have settled for that just to get back on the road). They said they will not cover the issue since they believe there had to be some sort of impact. We have Progressive Insurance. They said they will not cover the issue since they do not see signs of impact and classify the issue as normal wear and tear. On a 3 year old RV that we bought brand new? Really? Because the ZKG program coverage had expired by the time I had reported the paint peeling, the Toyota dealer service center referred me to the Toyota Brand Engagement Center. Also, my gas cap randomly opens. Also, this last time a couple days ago when my car stalled the steering wheel and gearshift both locked and I was not able to move it, and there was no proper response as to why that happened when I picked up my car from being serviced. Dear Sir, I am submitting this formal complaint regarding severe misconduct, fraud, and reckless endangerment committed by Hyundai Escondido, Hyundai Motor America, and Ally Financial in connection with the sale and financing of a dangerously defective 2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Touring AWD (VIN: [XXX] ). 1. The dealership provided me with a Carfax report showing no prior accidents or major repairs and falsely assured me that the car was in excellent condition. However, immediately after purchase, I discovered that the vehicle had severe hidden defects, including: •Extensive flood damage, which was concealed at the time of sale and significantly compromised the car’s electrical and safety systems. •Prior frame and structural damage from an accident that was never disclosed. •Critical electrical malfunctions causing the vehicle to swerve uncontrollably on its own, without any driver input. •Severe safety risks, which nearly resulted in an accident with another vehicle carrying a baby on board. •Substantial mechanical and structural issues requiring over $20,000 in repairs, making the car unsafe and unusable. Despite reporting these issues on the first day of ownership, Hyundai Escondido refused to acknowledge or rectify the matter. 2. Hyundai Escondido’s Role in Fraud and Misrepresentation •Knowingly sold a flood-damaged and structurally compromised vehicle without disclosure. •Misrepresented the vehicle as a Certified Pre owned. Rear fenders are rusted such that wiring harness falls off from underside if fenders and rubs on tires. Middle of frame rusted through on right and left side and dealer's floor lift went about half-way through both sides when the technician. tried to raise truck to check wiring under truck. The lift only crunched about halfway through near the middle of the frame. That was the point when the tech
... nician noticed the truck was lifting unevenly and making a crunching sound when he started trying to lift it. He left the truck as it was - with two wheels on the floor and two wheels about an inch off the floor He hollered for th shop supervisor to look at, who came and got me in the waiting room to show me what happened. The dealership could not repair the frame, but said there was a welding shop a couple of miles away down a back road in Zachow, WI where I could safely drive to if I went really slow. I don't know when the frame started rusting or the date the dealer's hydraulic lift broke through the frame. The truck's rear fenders were starting to significantly rust when it was about 3-4 years old. It was purchased new. I don't know how badly the frame had rusted at that time. I'm fairly certain the truck had less that 100,000 miles on it when the dealer found that the frame was rusted through. It's 22 years old now and was bought new in 2003. It has 147,000 miles on it today. Assuming that the miles/year were roughly the same at 6,682, and the tail lights started acting "funny" (the reason we brought the truck to the dealership),happened the year after we bought our new 2013 Lund boat (2014), that would put the mileage on the truck at 73,502.
