Frame failure on my Jayco Pinnacle 36 5th wheel RV is the issue. The frame welds have cracked where the front overhangs and the pin box attaches to the truck pulling the 5th wheel thus causing outer cracking of the exterior fiberglass. The steel used in the frame does not stand up to the flexing as a result of moving down the highway. An investigation needs to be opened into this problem as the fr
... ames need to last more than a few years on a RV that is traveling down the roads and highways at a high rate of speed which could result in the RV becoming a safety hazard causing catastrophic injuries to the public. Manufacturers must take responsibility for their defective product and be held accountable to fixing what they know was wrong at the time of manufacturing. The consumer is the fall guy for the sale of poorly designed and engineered RV's. A lemon law should be enforced for RVs that fall into this category.Read more

1. The paint (all the way down to the metal), in more than 3 spots, has started peeling off. 2 spots are about 2 feet each, so about 4 feet in total of missing paint. The silver on my rims has also started to peel off. 2. Paint has peeled off in large chunks which is unsafe. 3. The paint has been seen by service technicians at Autonation, where I bought it from and service at a Hyundai dealershi
... p. 4. I have not filed a claim with insurance yet as it was recommended by both Autonation and the dealership that it is a manufacturer defect and needs to be fixed by them. They both stated I could pay to have it repainted but it would just start chipping again since it is a manufacturer defect. The primer on the entire car was not applied properly so the paint is not sticking, hence why the paint has peeled all the way down to the metal. Just before I bought it, the paint had peeled on the hood and Autonation repainted it back in October of 2024 and the paint has started peeling in the same spot as of February of 2025. The 2 spots that have 2 feet of paint gone happened all in one day back in Decmeber 2024. No wreck, no damage to the car, I just walked out after driving it and paint was gone. 5. Both Autonation and the dealership said they had never seen anything like this and this is a manufacturer defect 100%. No one wants to touch it since they have all claimed it will just peel again and I'll be right back in the shop a month later.Read more

Due to a failed seal between the roof and the trunk door, water has leaked and corroded the exterior of the body over time. The corrosion has caused a hole to develop to the point that when it rains water leaks into the back of the car. As a result water entered the tail lights and caused the tail light to short out on one side. Some roofing tar and duck tape has helped with a temporary fix but it
... has been a hazardous problem because the leaking water can create a build up of moisture and mold growth within the vehicle. Another problem is the power windows and the power locking and unlocking system have become glitchy and have failed to work at times. The key pad, keyless entry has completely stopped working and the lock mechanism for the driver side of the car has completely fallen apart and can no longer be used. The only way to unlock and lock the car is to use the key lock and unlock buttons. Lastly, the door hinges have ripped off on the passenger door which prevents the door from staying open. RECALL18E-021 I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Reading Truck Body, LLC regarding safety concerns left unresolved and property damage incurred because of the recall remedy work (NHTSA Campaign Number 18E-021) performed on my 2017 Silverado L5P 3500HD Crew Cab service truck by Reading Truck Body. In May 2020, I was notified by Reading Truck Body, LLC of a safety recall specific to
... the aluminum service body on my truck. Following the initial remedy “patch” work done by the company, I was shocked to discover damages to the rear crossmember and compromising cracks in the welding of the body, as well as to the integrity and functionality of the wiring harnesses on my vehicle. Despite assurances that these damages would be addressed, I have been met with delays, unresponsiveness, and ultimately a subpar replacement body that does not meet the quality and craftsmanship of the original. The replacement body not only fails to match the size and finish of the original, but also poses serious safety risks due to missing bolts, faulty wiring harnesses, and overall poor construction. Despite my repeated attempts to seek resolution through the company’s Recall and Warranty departments, I have been met with dismissive treatment, unfounded accusations, and a refusal to address the issues at hand. This has not only caused financial loss and property damage but has also taken a toll on my emotional well-being and business operations. As a concerned customer, I am requesting your support to hold Reading Truck Body, LLC responsible for their actions and address all safety issues due to this recall. In addition, to require full recall remedy to replace the service body with one of equal quality, size, and finish as my original. Proper powder coating and meticulous craftsmanship are essential to restoring the value and integrity of my vehicle. I urge you to rectify these issues promptly and work with me to address the safety concerns outlined in my complaint.Read more

I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL series. I was driving down the highway, and the soft top latches sheared off, causing the top to rip back off the top of the Jeep. Still waiting for NHSTA mandated recall work to be completed as part of the bankruptcy settlement from October 2024. I have had to put out considerable time & money out of my own pocket to try and address these issues, even though money was put aside in the bankruptcy settlement. For recall #3 (software update 2.2#) I have received 1 part of 3 updates from OTA over 2 months ago with no further update. The model is a High County 385 BR and a crack appeared below the front bedroom slide and the slide stopped working correctly. I took the unit to Blue Compass in Katy, Texas and they discussed the issue with Keystone which resulted in the completion of what they called a flex test, basically they measure the distance between a fixed point in the hitch and the lower frame with the unit on ground on
... its jacks and then lift it on the king pin and make the same measurement, which I'm told needs to be 1/2" max, mine was over 1". So they took body work off to allow inspection of the main structural frame ( supplied by LCi) and aluminum framing and found broken aluminum framing welds, what appears to be cracked structural welds and a cut out on the structural frame which doesn't appear to meet their specification. The quality of the welding is poor at best with lots of undercut, blow holes, lack of fusion, lack of fill, etc, I'm assuming Keystone and LCi operate under self inspection. Keystone initially provided a repair procedure which they told me was NSTB approved, but seems like we have gone beyond this position with the welding to be inspected by LCi on the 10th March. As I've read may cases online about the subject of RV Flex, and Keystone providing a repair procedure which they stated was NSTB approved I'm writing this note to yourselves as I'm thinking the extent of the problem may not have been provided to NSTB when the procedure KSB-210122 V2 was provided to yourselves. I'm writing this note as I'd hate to see one of these units fail on the highway due to the issues I see in the frame of my unit. I am submitting this complaint because my 2023 Fisker Ocean One has not received any of the six NHTSA-mandated recalls, and with Fisker Inc. now bankrupt and unreachable, there is no clear path to getting these critical safety repairs completed. My wife drives this vehicle daily for work, covering approximately 100–150 miles per day, and the ongoing safety concerns pose a serious risk to her and
... others on the road. The vehicle has multiple serious safety issues that remain unaddressed due to the lack of manufacturer support: Safety features are non-functional – Several critical safety systems are either malfunctioning or have stopped working entirely. NFC Card Reader Failure – The NFC card reader on the door handle has stopped working, making entry into the vehicle unreliable. Vehicle Rolling Over Bumps – The car exhibits an uncontrolled rolling movement when driving over bumps, which creates an unpredictable driving experience and a potential loss of control. Interior Lighting Malfunctions – Various interior lights turn on randomly without user input, which may indicate electrical issues. Given Fisker’s bankruptcy, I am unable to schedule recall repairs, and no official service network exists to address these safety-critical issues. The recalls mandated by the NHTSA must be performed, yet there is no viable path for owners to ensure compliance. This situation presents an urgent safety hazard, and I am requesting immediate guidance on how these safety recalls can be fulfilled to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and safe for daily use.Read more
