I'm at my wits end with this car as it's been constant issues since buying it 5 months back, with a baby on the way I can't afford repairs and want a resolution that won't break the bank or to warn other drivers of this make and model of the issues that are plagued with it such as the back tail lights having a light assembly seal issue where water is able to enter and damage electrical components. We purchased the coach fall 2022. First major trip was in summer 2023. The main slide out failed (stopped working halfway out and would not extend or retract) the second night of camping. There was not a local repair facility available. A mobile repair person was able to get the slide out retracted. He informed us there was only one screw holding the main slide out frame in place. ... chet strap around the coach to hold the slide out in so we could at least continue our trip. A remote repairman at out next stop reported this is a common occurrence on this coach and it would need to be completely rebuilt. We noted that during transport there was sawdust on the cabinets and floors which we have been informed is evidence of excessive frame flexing. We took the coach back to the dealer from which we purchased the unit. The slide out had to be completely rebuilt (new rails, new slide blocks, new motors). We have little confidence that the slide out will not fail again. We noted that the rear tires were wearing at a rate of more than 4 times faster than the front tires. The excessive wear was accompanied with concern that we would blow a tire on the road and cause an accident and/or injury. A Lippert representative was consulted who advised that the front axle was defective and had to be replaced. Our extended warranty did not cover the cost of the axle. The next major trip was in summer 2024. The main slide out failed again. A repairman noted that the motors and rails needed to be replaced again and that the frame was at the limit of being within specs and may have contributed to the problem. During that repair the repairman noted cracking in the roof seams at the major junction at the front of the camper and around AC units and vents. Each of those areas had been resealed just 5 months earlier. We were informed that this was also evidence of excessive frame flexing. The repair facility diagnostician reported that the roof needed to be scraped and resealed.Read more

Upon completing a trip with the RV mentioned, an inspection was completed of the units suspension system where it was found to be compromised. Not knowing what compromised the suspension (leaf springs, shackles, hangars, etc), further investigation was done where the underbelly of the camper was removed. ... mbers completely broken off the I-beam that runs from the front to back of the camper. Not only were there two cross members where the welds had completely broken free, but there were other metal bracings between cross members and to the I-beams that have also completely broken off. With the welds completely broken, there is no support between the two I-beams on this camper leading to major safety concern not only to those towing the fifth wheel but other motorist around the unit while on the highway. No accident has occurred but instead the frame has completely failed, including multiple cross members, other structural steel bracing and even multiple outriggers compromised due to the movement of the main 12" I-beams. This is a MAJOR safety concern that Lippert (frame manufacturer) nor Jayco (RV brand) is taking any responsibility for but should be addressed as other units sitting on similar frames could be facing the same issues due to the low quality welds and bracing.Read more

I am [XXX]. I purchased this Honda Odyssey van after it was modified by BraunAbility. They put in an automatic underfloor ramp, and other modifications. When used without these modifications, there are three rows of seating. Passengers go in and out, and the passenger-side sliding door opens with an automatic button. ... r disturbed in use by an ambulatory person. However, when it is used with a ramp, the second row of seats is removed and replaced with a passenger-side ramp. The ramp is 30 inches wide. The normal power wheelchair is 26 to 29 inches wide. This leaves only 2 inches MAXIMUM on either side of the ramp for the wheelchair. It is virtually impossible to NOT hit the sensor when going in or out by wheelchair!! I have had this van for about two years. I use it about once every two weeks. Most times I have an assistant driving. I have only used it about 50 times TOTAL, in two years. On [XXX], I had a doctor's appointment. I activated the automatic door and ramp. I rolled up the ramp, and parked in the passenger area. That seat has been removed for the wheelchair. My assistant pushed the button to activate the ramp to go back under-floor. It did so. BUT the sliding door on the passenger side did NOT close at all! Eventually he managed to manually slide the door shut. If I had been driving alone, I would have been stranded right there---at the doctor's office, shopping center, etc., as I do NOT have the strength to manually close that door! This is clearly a danger to disabled people using this modified Honda Odyssey. Honda and BraunAbility should be required to protect and reinforce the sensor area so users will NOT easily damage the sensor with light use of this van! Had to drive through water about 8” deep and while going through the water the rear bumper, and the skid plate underneath the car was yanked off breaking 2 brackets that hold the skid plate on and it broke the manufacturer welds on the other two brackets. This is a known defect with 2017-2019 but obviously it is also a defect with the 2020s.
