After purchasing seems the vin was updated with information I was not disclosed. The bcm has never worked correctly the instrument panel is erratic and even with a code reader showing P codes there’s no check light. The steering makes the entire vehicle jump over half a road. Blind spot monitors don’t know what to do sometimes they are unavailable, odometer has all 9s sometimes. I did all the
... checks on the vehicle at the time and what I was given showed I had a 2018 4 door Sahara and that was what I was led to believe. After having issues and getting my registration I started looking at everything more because the dealer registered me as a commercial passenger truck(still don’t know why) but found a report that says Moab/sahara and my seems my vehicles body chasis and motor are all over the place. I’m pretty sure the engine is failing as at one point in one of the reports I found it stated it failed emissions. But the overall worst is that the suspension looks like it came off the titanic compared to the body panels, there’s a lot of welding and rusted or “appearingly tampered” pieces in the chassis and the vehicle seems to be coming apart at every seam. I am currently not driving it because it looks to have sank down to where it could be dangerous I’m pretty sure the suspension, frame, and axles aren’t rated for what’s on it and sounded like something may be coming off at the wheel or axle area last time I did drive it. The vehicle I thought I was purchasing had safety guidelines and there is 2.0 parts, 3.6 parts on this along with random other countries parts. It was bought used “As-Is” but not under the pretense that they assembled it by hand from leftovers. It wouldn’t pass safety standards or emissions in a foreign country much less in the UNITED STATES. I am starting here but will be seeking legal counsel. No longer certain I even have a jeep frame or chassis or just some panels stuck to a rusting timebomb. I’ve only drove like 8,000 miles. Now I’m scared toRead more

Interior driver's side door handle broke off. The driver cannot open the door without lowering the window (electrically operated) and reaching outside to pull the exterior door handle. The car must remain of to do this (if off, the window cannot be lowered). I deem this to be extremely dangerous in the event of an accident when the car cannot be started; the driver is stuck in the car.

The paint on the roof of my 2013 Toyota Rav4 has begun to peel (delaminate). I first noticed it in May 2025. More recently, in June, while driving I saw in my rearview mirror what was clearly a chunk of white paint fall off the blowing from the top of my vehicle behind me - which is poses a safety hazard on the road. There are two areas on the roof now peeling. One is about 8inches in diameter (
... which has grown since May) and the newest area peeling and flaking/flying off is 1 foot long and 4 to 5 inches wide. Areas of the roof where the paint has peeled are beginning to rust and compromise the integrity of the body. I contacted Toyota twice recently regarding my case (#250701000710) which is considered closed. Two representatives said they were sorry I was having this issue but advised that I would have to go to a dealer and take care of it myself. Please be aware that there was a prior/known paint peeling issue that affected cars in blizzard/pearl white (which my car is). They offered what was called a "goodwill service" at the time under which they only paid to repaint any areas of the car that were already peeling at the time. The body of my car had many large areas of peeled paint that were repainted. However, the "goodwill service" program has since expired but now the roof is peeling. So, even though aware that the painting was flawed and prone to significant peeling they did not repaint affected vehicles as a whole and so it appears this issue has resurfaced.Read more

To whom it may concern: I wish to report what a believe is a defect in the new Tiguan which is causing the engine to overheat. The check engine light came on the day after we purchased the vehicle. This was due to a part of the lower shutter in the front of the car breaking off, which prohibited the shutter from opening and shutting. It could not cool the engine and thus the engine started to over
... heat. We are not entirely sure what caused the piece to break, the mechanic said it was likely a rock. We did not get into an accident and in fact had only driven the car once. So I wanted to make this report in case someone else had a similar issue as if this piece is prone to breaking, it could potentially cause other more serious issues.Read more

> I purchased a 2023 Nissan Rogue brand new and it now has only 32,000 miles. It has a major water leak—flooding the interior through the lights, vents, and floor—yet Nissan won’t cover it under warranty and State Farm denied my comprehensive claim. The vehicle has sat exposed for 3 weeks at the body shop during constant rain, worsening the damage. The car is now unsafe to drive. Nissan fail
... ed to disclosure valid and pertinent information regarding the limitations on their warranty coverage. Furthermore, Nissan failed to disclose maintenance guidelines for maintaining a sunroof. Additionally, regardless of any debris build-up, the size of the water lines are inadequate to hold large volumes of water at a given time. The amount of rain that has occurred in Alabama over the past 3 months super exceeds the capacity of these drainage tubes, leading to interior flooding that is detrimental to the integrity of the safety features in this vehicle. My lights, electrical panel, air bags, and electrical ports have all been impacted by this intrusion and now I'm left with a useless, unsafe, and unpredictable vehicle that has a total of 32,000 miles. This is fraud and deceptive behavior that should be made public. I believe others need to know this could happen. I’d appreciate your help.Read more

I purchased this truck new in 2013 and it has only been serviced by Ford, except for an Air Lift Suspension Kit install to allow load leveling when towing. Low miles: 54484 actual. No collision damage, original paint. Date of repair:06/25/2025. Jenkins Ford RO#[XXX]. My truck has a Supercab (Extended Cab) with short rear doors that open to the rear. Both of these rear doors failed within 5 minu
... tes of each other. Specifically, the inside door handles and opening levers on the forward facing side of the doors failed. This is absolutely a safety hazard because a Child, Senior, Handicapped person, pet, etc., would be trapped from making an emergency exit in case of accident or fire. A more athletic person may be able to pull themselves over the from bench seat to exit, but still delaying the exit and dangerous. There were no warnings to alert anyone of the failures. Jenkins Ford (Crystal River, FL) diagnosed the problem and made the costly repair. Both door cables were replaced, no warranty. Cost: $1558.80 I called Ford USA Customer Relations (800) 392-3673 at 1:16PM EDT on 06/24/2025. C/S Rep "Kisha" said Ford would not assist in any goodwill for repair of this safety item. I researched this problem online an apparently, this is a common failure due to plastic parts holding the cables. I acknowledge that this vehicle is over 10 years old, but feel that this is a safety item Ford should stand behind. People keep vehicles longer these days and mine has been garaged, meticulously maintained by Ford, and has extremely low miles. Jenkins Ford did a very professional repair and I'm very happy with this dealer. The Ford Motor Company should be required to recall and repair this problem. My 2007 Toyota Tacoma has an open recall on the rear leaf springs due to the risk of fuel tank puncture and fire. However, Toyota and their authorized dealership are unable to perform this safety recall because the vehicle’s frame is too severely rusted. The dealership informed me that attempting the repair could further damage the vehicle, and they requested I sign a waiver releasing Toyota of
... liability if harm occurs during the recall process. They also informed me that replacement frames are no longer available, so the recall cannot be completed as I was interested to pay for this to get the recall safely completed This leaves me with a vehicle that presents a known, life-threatening safety hazard, which Toyota cannot resolve. The frame corrosion is due to a previously acknowledged defect for which Toyota offered limited-time frame replacements that expired before I owned the vehicle. I believe Toyota is violating its obligation to provide a remedy for this open recall. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue, as it appears Toyota is leaving customers with dangerous, unrepaired vehicles and no available remedy.Read more

Vehicle experienced water intrusion through sunroof drainage system during rainfall, causing saturation of interior components and electrical malfunctions. Water accumulated in cup holders, dashboard areas, and saturated headliner materials. Following water exposure, vehicle developed multiple safety-critical electrical failures including: false forward collision avoidance system activation causin
... g unexpected emergency braking with no obstruction present, and improper auto start/stop system engagement during low-speed driving causing vehicle to jerk and stall while in motion. Despite reporting this safety issue immediately, manufacturer Genesis Motor America failed to disclose that this was a known defect covered under Technical Service Bulletin 24-BD-008G. Customer service representatives did not mention existing TSB and refused emergency service appointments, forcing 2-month wait for service scheduling despite life-threatening electrical malfunctions. Customer had to independently discover TSB documentation through research. Only after customer escalated with TSB evidence did Genesis authorize repair. Dealer confirmed drainage system failure and completed repairs per TSB guidelines that manufacturer should have immediately referenced. Genesis's failure to disclose known safety defect and refusal of emergency service created extended exposure to dangerous electrical malfunctions that could result in accidents.Read more

Incident date: 06/30/25, Lift gate has closed while still trying to retrieve items from the cargo area, it seems if key is on the person and somehow the kick sensor was activated by accident the lift gate will shut down, the vehicle did make a beeping sound yet I was not clear where/what until the lift gate is coming down on me so I had to quickly move, the lift gate was quite close yet no sensor
... was activated to prevent the lift gate from shutting. This incident occurred prior to this date and I had to manually push the lift gate up since it was even closer to my body. I did some troubleshooting and read that the key should not be on the person, if so then someone can set off the kick sensor, designed for hands-free operation, can be sensitive and might accidentally trigger the liftgate to close if someone is too close to the rear bumper. Some users report this happening even without intentionally activating the feature. This is a safety issue that a vehicle does not have the sensor to detect an object or body to lift back up. A situation where a 2024 Audi Q5 liftgate closes by itself, potentially causing injury, is concerning. It does appear several factors can contribute to such a malfunction, causing a safety hazard. **Please note I have a video from my from home camera yet unable to upload it. On Thursday, [XXX], I took my vehicle to the authorized dealership Alberic Chrysler Jeep Dodge, located on Kennedy Avenue in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for routine maintenance. While handling the vehicle, the service personnel lifted it using the shop's lift equipment, raising it all the way to the ceiling, which caused severe structural damage to the vehicle's roof. The dealership contacted the Puert
... o Rico State Police, who filed report number [XXX]. Additionally, I was asked to complete a written damage claim at the dealership. The vehicle was under full manufacturer's warranty at the time of the incident. However, the structural damage has now compromised the vehicle's integrity, specifically: - The rear doors became misaligned. - The roof suffered a visible crack, which exposed the interior of the vehicle to weather conditions. - The damage potentially affects warranty coverage, especially related to corrosion protection. We requested that the dealership retain the vehicle on-site to allow for inspection by the manufacturer's technical team. The dealership refused to do so unless I agreed to pay a $25 daily storage fee. We also requested substitute transportation, which they denied. Additionally, according to the NHTSA database, this vehicle currently has an open safety recall. I was never informed of this recall by the dealership at the time of the maintenance appointment, which is a serious failure in the dealership's responsibility to notify the owner and address potential safety risks. The vehicle is used for both personal and professional transportation, and at the time of the incident, it had 8,402 miles. This incident raises significant safety concerns regarding the vehicle's structural integrity, the open recall, and the dealership's handling of the matter. I respectfully request NHTSA's assistance in investigating this situation to ensure that both the safety standards and consumer protections are upheld. I am filing a formal complaint regarding a known paint defect on my 2012 Toyota Sequoia, painted in Blizzard Pearl (paint code 070). The paint is peeling and delaminating from multiple areas of the vehicle, including the roof, hood, and rear panels, down to the primer and in some cases bare metal. This is not a cosmetic or age-related issue — it is the result of a manufacturing defect that Toyot
... a has already acknowledged in multiple models and years through Customer Support Program ZKG. This issue affects vehicles painted in Blizzard Pearl and Super White, due to poor adhesion between the basecoat and primer. It is a systemic defect that poses a long-term corrosion and safety concern, particularly as bare metal becomes exposed and vulnerable to rust. Toyota refuses to take responsibility, citing expiration of the CSP in December 2022. However, this defect is not time-sensitive—it emerges gradually and unpredictably over the life of the vehicle. It is unfair to place the burden of repair on consumers when the issue is clearly the result of poor materials and workmanship. I have contacted Toyota and provided photographic evidence. They acknowledged the vehicle is affected by the exact problem covered by the CSP, but declined to offer assistance because the program has technically ended. This is unacceptable, as the issue is part of a known national defect, not an isolated case. There are thousands of documented complaints for this exact same issue on forums, social media, and Toyota owner sites. I am requesting that Toyota: •Acknowledge this as an ongoing manufacturing defect regardless of warranty expiration, •Provide goodwill repair coverage or reimbursement for repainting, •Prevent further corrosion that could compromise vehicle safety and resale value. I am submitting this complaint so the issue can be formally documented and investigated, with the hope that Toyota will be held accountable and other owners will not be left to absorb theRead more

As a Ford owner, I can vividly recall the 1980’s Ford acronym ‘fix or repair daily’. That comes to mind as my 2022 F350 Platinum Dually has been in the shop for one thing or another more times in 3 years than my 2015 Chevy Impala LTZ has in 10 years. But I digress. The reason for this complaint is my latest malfunction on my Ford vehicle. As mentioned previously, it hasn’t been 3 yea
... rs and yet another issue with my vehicle has come to light. My passenger roof trim has broken at the connection point, which of all things, was connected via rivet…beneath the rear glass. Apparently, this an extremely common issue among 2017 and up Ford Super Duty. There has been no recall issued. And Ford wants the vehicle owners to pay for the repair. It is an absolute horrible design. The plastic breaks often. And to make matters worse, the rear glass had to be removed to replace the trim. Most of the trim snaps in place but the very end, the end that is cheaply made and connected to a metal rivet, is so fragile and thin that after a few months of driving over American bumpy roads and being beating up the Sun, it cracks, breaks lose, sticks up like a sore thumb, and otherwise detracts from the reputation of the Ford Brand. My vehicle is still under the original warranty as I have only 22,240 miles, and I purchased and extended warranty with adds 4 more years. This needs to be remedied and Ford owners need to be compensated for monies spent to repair these manufacturing defects. MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP STATES THAT IF THEY BREAK THE GLASS DURING THE REPAIR THAT THE COST OF THE NEW GLASS IS MY RESPONSIBILITY, EVEN UNDER WARRANTY. That is so very wrong and alarming. The repair is $125, to be completed by an outside vendor. The dealer will not even tackle this repair. THE CONNECTION POINT OF THE ROOF TRIM IS A RIVET. Why? THE CONNECTION POINT OF THE ROOF TRIM IS BENEATH THE REAR GLASS, WHICH HAS TO BE REMOVED INORDER TO REPAIR THE DEFECTIVE ROOF TRIM. Why? Why makeRead more

Report of Dangerous Rental Vehicle and Serious Safety Incident – Rental Agreement #289216922 I am submitting this report to formally document a serious safety issue involving a rental vehicle I received from Avis in May 2024. Several safety components malfunctioned and put the safety of my and my passenger in a life threatening situation. At the time of pickup, the vehicle had a visible dent n
... ear the front right tire, which was acknowledged by the rental agent and dismissed as cosmetic. I also noted a faulty rear hatch, which opened unpredictably and struck occupants in the head on multiple occasions as it behaved erratically. Over the course of the rental, the vehicle displayed additional signs of mechanical failure — including instability at highway speeds, loud squealing, and parts of the bumper physically falling off during the trip. On May 30th, while driving at highway speed, the vehicle suffered a sudden tire blowout. Critically, the onboard system misidentified the location of the blown tire, indicating the front right tire had failed when it was actually the rear right. This misinformation delayed proper response and nearly resulted in a rollover. We were stranded on the roadside for over an hour, narrowly avoiding several collisions. A critical system failure. A responding tow truck driver observed signs that the vehicle may have previously been involved in a collision — which aligns with the visible damage present when the vehicle was picked up. Avis has, despite multiple attempts, refused to confirm whether the vehicle was removed from service after the incident or whether any safety inspection was conducted -- we remain severely concerned for the safety of anyone else using this vehicle. This vehicle should not have been rented in its condition. The failure of safety systems, mechanical instability, prior collision damage, and the loss of exterior components created a serious and unacceptable risk to the driver, passenger, and others on the road.Read more

When I first saw the pictures on the internet, I noticed that the front underside appeared to have rust issues. The pictures obviously did not show the major rust issues as I have provided. The pictures were carefully fabricated not

I asked the salesman if his family was driving the vehicle, would he feel safe. He replied, "Absolutely". With this said, I decided to purchase the vehicle. Also, my signature is not on the "We owe". Also, the vehicle has an exhaust leak from the manifold area. It makes a loud ticking noise. This is going to cost approximately $1,500 to fix. This is a safety issue as you can smell a burnt/we wire smell and the incoming water saturates critical wiring, and is nearby airbag wiring. Vehicle in question has only been owned for a year and a half (of 3 year warranty) but any warranty repairs
... are being refused as it is 2500 miles outside of comprehensive warranty. However, this is not believed to be due to a component that failed due to mileage but rather a manufacturing defect/quality control in the windshield or cowl seal.Read more

Maybe it is just normal wear and tear, but I understand there was a recall for something with latches on this era of f-150s, and my VIN is not part of that. I'm reporting this in case it's useful information and in case
... it indicates the recall should be expanded. So far I have been able to use a screwdriver to push the latch open, and the door will close and latch after that. I can not replicate this consistently.Read more
