While driving on [XXX] from Houston to San Antonio the front Grille spontaneously flew off from my hood and hit my windshield. Grille damaged the hood but no known damage to shield. This was very frightening while on a highway because it almost caused me to crash as it triggered my PTSD from the blast and led me to swerve. Fortunately I regained vehicle control and avoided other damage to others.

I am writing to request your assistance regarding a paint peeling issue that has developed on my 2019 Honda HR-V (currently at 50,320 miles). Recently, I noticed significant paint peeling at the top of the hood — in the exact same area previously identified in the 2016–2018 HR-V models covered under Honda’s paint warranty extension. When I contacted Honda Cares, I was informed that my VIN i
... s not included in that warranty extension. This is very disappointing because I made a conscious effort to protect my vehicle by purchasing the clear coat warranty at the time of sale, believing it would cover or help prevent defects like this. Unfortunately, I was told that this issue is also not covered under that protection. This situation is particularly difficult for me, as I just finished paying off my car last month and am preparing to retire this year. My plan was for this HR-V to be my retirement vehicle, and facing an unexpected repair so soon is a financial hardship I did not anticipate. Furthermore, I am aware of the lawsuit filed with the NHTSA concerning paint defects on Honda vehicles. Given that my paint is peeling in the same area identified in that investigation and covered under the prior warranty extension, I respectfully request that Honda extend that same paint warranty coverage to my vehicle as a gesture of goodwill and fairness. I chose Honda for its reputation for reliability and quality, and until now, I have been very pleased with my HR-V. I hope you will consider my circumstances and the documented history of this paint defect, and help me resolve this issue so I can continue to enjoy my vehicle into retirement. Thank you very much for your time and understanding. I look forward to your response. Multiple times today my tailgate dropped randomly without my knowledge. With the tailgate randomly dropping, and no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms, it puts others at risk due to the potential for the contents of the truck bed to fall out into traffic causing damage or bodily injury to others on the road. During my research on what could cause this to occur, I was made aware of a recal
... l of this same make, model, and year vehicle. The description of the reason for the recall was exactly what I experienced with my vehicle. I immediately attempted to confirm that my vehicle was listed on the recall by entering by VIN online. I discovered that there was not an active recall on my specific vehicle, so I contacted the nearest GMC dealership. After speaking with the service tech, he confirmed that my symptoms was exactly what the dealership had addressed with other vehicles that were on the recall list. He confirmed that my VIN was not included, yet the recall did have the same make, model, and year. I will be making an appointment at my dealership to repair this at my expense since it is not covered on the recall.Read more

My multipro tailgate on my 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 unlatched while a trailer was attached and backing up said trailer. This could have endangered a vehicle to my rear if cargo had been released on to the road. I have reached out to a local dealership for repairs and assessment, no real way of troubleshooting something that has happened twice in five plus years. The scan did not show any codes. the info center does notify you if it is released but not before it takes place and after the fact may be too late in some circumstances as it was during the second occurrence. While driving 45mph, my passenger door suddenly opened, and I received a notification on my car's dashboard warning me that the door had opened. When it was safe to pull over, I was able to shut the door but this has been the second time this has occurred, the first being about 2 months earlier while I was driving on the free way going 65mph. This is very dangerous since if my door opened while I
... was driving, my belongings could fall out of my car while driving, my passenger would be put at risk, and my door could potentially hit another car next to me. Ultimately, my passenger door's lock failed and it is available for inspection upon request. The door failing to stay locked while driving put me and my passenger at risk. The vehicle has not been inspected since I looked online and many others with my car have this issue, but Ford requires hundreds of dollars just to inspect which I can not afford right now. I bought this car from a Honda dealership in Cincinnati. I searched for this specific year and color. It had about 48k miles on it when I got it. I have only put on 14k miles now. I purchased the warranty. After a year of owning it. My paint on the plastic pieces started to chip off. The mirror is nearly completely paintless, and the door handles look bad as well. I have been trying to work with H
... onda. The dealership recognized this was an issue with this color. There is a class action for the white as well. The honda dealership said Honda corporate should do something about it since I haven't had this car very long. Honda corporate came back and told me that they would have only covered it in the year of 2020 which is silly because the car is a 2020. I purchased it at the end of 2023. So as soon as I got this off of the lot I was [XXX] essentially. I told them that I haven't even put that many miles on the car and they said it didn't matter. Online everywhere talks about the issues with the paint chipping on the plastics and they refuse to recognize it. I was quoted over 1000 to fix the more serious issues but another 400 more to fix everything and that was just for the parts and not the labor. The dealership service manager at Honda recognized this was a problem but corporate doesn't want to do anything about it. The issue started happening a year after I purchased it. I haven't even owned it for a full two years. Not even 14k miles on it since my purchase. Purchased the warranty and they refuse to help. On July 1, 2025, I was involved in a severe rear-end collision while driving my 2024 Mazda3 manual hatchback. The impact was forceful enough to shatter the rear windshield, leave a deep dent in the tailgate, and bend the trailer hitch mount under the vehicle by several inches. Despite this, none of the airbags deployed, and there were no airbag warning lights before or after the crash. After the
... incident, I checked my vehicle’s VIN on NHTSA’s recall lookup tool and discovered that Recall 7525E had been issued on June 6, 2025, for a critical airbag sensing system defect (SAS module), which can disable airbag deployment after battery depletion or improper power conditions. According to Mazda and NHTSA documents, this defect can completely disable airbag function, increasing the risk of injury in a crash. As of July 11, 2025, I have not received any recall notice from Mazda by mail, email, phone, or dealer contact—despite being the registered owner. Mazda’s documentation shows that: Dealers were notified as early as June 3, 2025 Owner letters are not scheduled until July 28, 2025 This means that I was driving a defective vehicle without knowledge of a serious safety issue at the time of the crash. I believe that: Mazda failed in its legal obligation to notify me in a timely and adequate manner. The non-deployment of airbags in my crash is consistent with the failure described in Recall 7525E. Other affected Mazda owners may remain unaware and at significant risk. I respectfully request that NHTSA: Investigate whether Recall 7525E was the cause of airbag failure in this incident. Determine whether Mazda’s recall notification practices met regulatory requirements. Ensure immediate outreach to affected owners to prevent further injury or risk. I am also seeking legal counsel due to the serious safety implications and potential liability arising from this defect. The front bumper on my 2025 Toyota Camry continues to shift and separate after driving, despite being repaired twice following a low-impact collision in which another vehicle backed into me. This issue has persisted even after two separate body shops (including a State Farm in-network provider) performed repairs. A third attempt is underway, but the problem remains unresolved. Additionally, my Par
... king Collision Warning system does not give any audible alerts when reversing or approaching objects, even though this feature is standard on my vehicle. I believe the malfunction may be tied to the bumper’s instability or misalignment, potentially affecting sensor function. The issue has not triggered any warning lights or error messages. However, I’ve now discovered multiple reports from other 2025 Camry owners experiencing the same bumper separation without being in accidents, suggesting a potential design flaw. My car has been inspected by body shops and appraisers, but not by Toyota directly. This ongoing issue presents a potential safety concern due to impaired sensor function and the risk of the bumper detaching at higher speeds. - The undercarriage and frame have had premature rusting for years. September 2, 2023 at about 6 pm I pulled over to grab a couple water bottles from the rear of my 2002 Ford Explorer Sport cause my engine was overheating. I was in so much distrot that I actually thought someone had shot at me with a fire arm but missed me and hit the rear glass instead. The top of my head was stinging and it felt like I had just been smacked with a tree branch and the glass had went all over me causing a few minor cuts and scrapes as I fell to my knees in shock my heart racing faster than I had even imagined a heart could beat while histaraclly crying from the trauma that just occurred I fell to the ground and for a full 15 minutes i sat there surrounded by glass and tears in so much shock, dazed and confused before I stood up and looked around at everything that then I only realized I WASN'T shot at because there was no bullet or bullet hole nor did a vehicle drive by nor was there any people closer than a mile to me when I realized that the glass had shattered for some UNKNOWN reason ON ITS OWN that it scared me so bad it traumatized me. Since the day I picked up the car from the dealership lot, I have had consistent issues with this vehicle simply operating safely and normally. In Arizona, you're legally responsible for a vehicle the moment you sign — even before you drive it off the property — so I was essentially stuck with it. From that point forward, I have been at my dealership nearly every month due to various mechanica
... l and electrical issues. The vehicle has a history of repeated electrical and mechanical failures that affect both safety and basic function. One of the most serious problems is that the car randomly shuts off while driving, including in traffic and at intersections. This happens without warning and creates a serious risk of being hit from behind or losing control of the vehicle. In addition, the car frequently fails to start. It will often require a jump-start just to turn on, but even then, service technicians have told me the battery is not the issue, and in some cases, it doesn’t respond to a jump at all. The problem remains undiagnosed, with technicians saying they cannot pinpoint the cause. The issue appears to be electrical or ignition-related, but no definitive fix has been found. There have also been ongoing problems with the transmission jerking, hesitation during acceleration, and various warning lights coming on, including the battery, check engine, and transmission indicators. These issues began shortly after purchase and have occurred consistently over time. The vehicle has been brought to the dealership numerous times, where they have attempted repairs, but the problems continue. It is not safe to drive and continues to present a major safety hazard due to unexpected shutdowns and unreliable starting. These issues have been acknowledged by the dealer but never resolved, and the vehicle and components are available for inspection upon request.Read more

I am the owner of a 2025 Kia K5 GT-Line that was recently involved in an accident. In the days prior to the crash, I experienced recurring issues including screen reboots while driving and temporary power loss. I do not remember the moment of the accident, and I am currently under medical care for head trauma. I am reporting this because I believe the vehicle may have malfunctioned in a way that
