Driver's side A pillar trim, a recalled component, detached from vehicle while driving on the highway. Killeen, TX Ford service center noted in an earlier service appointment that the recalled component was serviced, but it appears it was not done properly. They are now refusing to service the broken trim, stating that it does not fall under the recall.

I am writing to report a serious and recurring safety issue with my 2016 Ford Transit Connect. On four separate occasions, the rear sliding doors on both the driver and passenger sides have completely detached from the vehicle during the normal process of closing them. These incidents occurred without the application of any excessive force or unusual use. The doors unexpectedly slid off their trac
... ks and fell from the vehicle, creating a dangerous situation. Each time this occurred, my family was left stranded, unable to complete our trip or return home safely. As a result of this repeated failure, I have avoided using one of the sliding doors for over a year out of fear that it was not properly re-secured and could fall off again. This issue represents a significant safety concern, particularly for families relying on this vehicle for daily transportation, and I believe it warrants immediate attention and investigation.Read more

The rear window on the 2025 Nissan Sentra shattered for no known reason. The car was parked in my driveway, was OK when I locked it up a 3pm to go for a walk, and when I got home at 3:40, there was a big whole in my back window. The amount of rust that has been exposed is absolutely insane. My adjuster found the initial section of rust when we had the Yukon in for repairs from a storm. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The exterior door handles and latching mechanism failed due to freezing in cold weather. When temperatures drop, the door handles become stuck or the latch mechanism fails to engage or disengage properly. This issue is reproducible during cold weather and the affected components are available for ins
... pection upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The malfunction poses a safety risk in multiple ways. The doors may not close securely, which could result in a door opening while driving. Conversely, frozen latches can prevent doors from opening, which is a serious concern in the event of an emergency where rapid exit from the vehicle is required. This could endanger both the driver and passengers. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The issue has not yet been confirmed by a dealer, but it is a widely documented problem among 2021 Ford F-150 owners, and it occurs consistently during cold weather conditions. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No formal inspection by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives has been conducted to date. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? There were no warning lamps or dashboard messages. The issue was first noticed during freezing temperatures in the winter season. The symptoms are physical—frozen or stuck handles and malfunctioning door latches.Read more

During the first week of March, 2025, my Polestar 3 suffered a total AC charging failure, meaning I was no longer able to charge at home. March 7 I brought the vehicle to Dyer & Dyver Volvo in Atlanta, GA, and they confirmed that the AC charging inverter failed and would have to be replaced. This part took more than two weeks to receive, and I retrieved the vehicle April 1. This issue seemed reso
... lved since then, however two evenings ago I arrived home to discover that once again the Polestar 3 would not charge, and displayed "Charge fault, contact workshop" on the driver display. The inability to charge the vehicle, and its now pattern of trouble, is certainly a safety issue. While my car was in the dealership I also had addressed a failure of the central locking system. All proximity keys refused to lock, or unlock, the vehicle. The only functional method was one of the card-keys supplied by Polestar. This safety issue completely erodes my trust that I will be able to gain access normally to my own vehicle, but may have to use my phone, or a backup card key (necessitating I carry two keys at all times). This issue has once reoccurred since retrieving the vehicle. Lastly, the driver door was not able to be opened from the exterior. The door handle, though extended and in the unlocked position, completely failed to function. The door had to be opened via the interior handle. I find this to be an extremely grave problem. It has not reoccurred.Read more

My tailgate stopped working, I was getting messages on my dash board that there was transmission system problems, reverse warning problems, keyless entry system problems. It always seemed to happen after a rain. I found that the van is leaking water through the driver’s side roof rack gully, near the back, and water is leaking right on the tailgate control system, causing all these other problem
... s. It is also causing the battery to drain when car is parked idle. There should be recall to fix the leakage and replace the controller. It's a design defect, water shouldn't sip inside and burn the electrical components. Costing me hundreds/thousands. This is also safety issue because water damaged controllers causing issues with ADAS components too - getting check engine, break lights, etc. while the car is in motion. If those safety features are not working, that can be very dangerous. ThanksRead more

The tailgate opens by randomly. I was in a CVS parking lot walking towards my car and saw the tailgate open without any commands. A young kid running towards his mother's car was just able to avoid running into it and getting 'clotheslined'. Another vehicle found it necessary to drive around the tailgate protruding from the parking spot. I have been finding the tailgate down multiple times, and
... thought I may have left it open even when I was sure I didn't. I also shut my tailgate recently and noticed I have a large dent in the tailgate itself when I closed it. It may have opened on another vehicle, or it was open when I was backing up assuming it was closed. After reading online I came across many owners having the exact same problems with the exact same truck. GM has told me the problem is VIN specific, and my VIN was not listed; therefore, no recall notice ever sent out to me.Read more

We took possession of our new 2021 Grand Design 381M fifth-wheel travel trailer in April 2021. During 2021 and 2022, the trailer saw minimal road use. However, during our travels, we observed significant movement within the trailer, and on several occasions, the cargo bay doors opened while in transit. In August, we contacted Grand Design due to visible interior damage and abnormal movement. They
... arranged to pick up the trailer and transport it to their facility for inspection and repair. Grand Design confirmed that the trailer had suffered a frame failure. They reportedly completed the necessary repairs and returned the trailer to us. Unfortunately, not all issues were resolved. In May 2023, the trailer was returned to the facility for additional repairs. Afterward, it was returned to us once again. In August 2024, signs of frame failure reappeared. We contacted Grand Design, and a mobile technician was dispatched to inspect the trailer. The technician confirmed another instance of frame failure. Due to seasonal considerations, we arranged for the trailer to be transported back to Grand Design in March 2025. Repairs were made, and the trailer was returned later that month. We remain deeply concerned about the adequacy and durability of the repairs, and whether the trailer is truly roadworthy and safe. Despite multiple requests, Grand Design has not provided any photos of the frame damage or documentation of the repairs performed. This lack of transparency is especially troubling given the recurring nature of the issue and the broader concerns surrounding frame integrity across multiple Grand Design models. We are left with the impression that the structural integrity of our trailer—and potentially others—has been compromised. We believe this poses a serious safety risk for anyone traveling on U.S. roadways.Read more

Roof rails leak and allow water to enter the head liner and the air bags in the support arms of the cabin. Noisy brakes, low breaks etc Fast forward to March 2025, my number one complaint about these sensor issues is they would malfunction on me one day when I was driving. And I was always assured by the dealership it was good, the car was good, I was good. Acura felt the same. Well in April my steering malfunctioned while driving, the steering wheel locked as I was breaking for a red light, and I drifted off the road. Turns out my steering rack needed to replaced. It was fixed on 4/4 then on [XXX] with my children in the car, it did the same thing. Now they tell me it is the EPS, electric power steering. This car spends more time on [XXX] and one day this is going to happen on the interstate and there will be fatalities. I have been screaming at Acura and the Motorworld for months. Acura will not respond to emails (which I have kept) and every time I call the case manager assigned to me is not available. The few times months ago I did speak to someone they tell me the same things the automated email I get once in while that say my case is under review.
