2024 Honda Gold Wing GL1800DR Tour fails to detect the keyfob intermittently. The vehicle does not require a standard key to start, unlock or closing/opening the paniers, except for emergency situation and requires at that time a sequence to be followed. For this, it requires that you have the fob in your person while operating the motorcycle. The concerns around the fob/remote is that it looses
... communication with the vehicle intermittently, inhibiting access, say, to ignition start button or properly closing paniers/top case. The case of the storage containers not properly locking, resulted on highway opening of the paniers, releasing its contents. The vehicle also not starting the ignition sequence, have also affected access to the vehicle, where the rider is left stranded. Fresh lithium batteries, with confirmed voltage levels, has been installed. Motorcycle is shipped with 2 fobs, same issue with both. Warranty claims appointments (3), haven't been able to isolate or reproduce the issue, supporting 360° video evidence showing the issue happening during road use and pre-ride, has been provided to Honda and to the service departments. Honda refuses to replace any parts without the issue being reproduced by the service appointment. Symptoms: missing keyfob dashboard ligh and notification, unable to close/open storage, unable to open gas door, unable to start ignition, unable start any accessories. Actions: replaced fob batteries, main motorcycle battery, turned off both fob, tested 1 at the time at different distances, disconnected all aftermarket accessories, one at the time, more.Read more

SAFETY DEFECT: Water intrusion through defective sunroof drainage system creating electrical hazards. Water accumulates in dashboard area, cup holders, and center console where electrical components are located, creating potential for electrical shorts, fires, or system failures. Component Failure
... : Sunroof drainage system fails to properly channel water away from vehicle interior. Manufacturer has issued Technical Service Bulletin 24-BD-008G acknowledging this defect in GV70 and GV80 models, stating "vehicles may exhibit water leakage inside the vehicle due to the sunroof drain hose plugs being clogged with foreign material." Safety Risk: Standing water near electrical systems poses fire hazard and potential electrical failure while driving. Interior materials remain saturated creating mold conditions affecting air quality. Driver visibility may be compromised by water dripping from interior surfaces. Dealer Confirmation: Multiple owners report Genesis service technicians confirming drainage system design cannot handle normal rainfall volumes. Other owners have received warranty repairs for identical symptoms after manufacturer initially resisted. Symptoms: No warning lamps appear. Problem manifests during any rainfall with water appearing in cup holders, dashboard areas, and dripping from interior panels. Issue occurs while vehicle is parked or in motion during rain. Widespread Problem: Manufacturer acknowledgment through official Technical Service Bulletin indicates this affects multiple vehicles with same design defect. Component available for inspection. On a rainy day, the power tailgate began to malfunction. First it would open part of the way, beep, and then close, then when trying again it would go move back and forth on its own, and then close. Trying it again later, however, it completely stopped working to the point where we had to manually force it to open and close, only the latch would work. The heads-up display showed power tailgate err

On my attempt to troubleshoot I found that water had leaked into the area behind the driver's-side rear inside body panel where the rear control module and fuse housing is located, which I noticed was covered with water. I was able to partially dry this. Later on the rear tailgate started working again briefly but the problem returned and now it no longer works. I contacted Honda USA about this issue and they told me there is no recall for this, however when I did a google search this issue immediately pops up and seems to be a common manufacturing safety problem that has not been addressed.Read more

I am the original owner of my vehicle, which I purchased brand new from the dealership in December, 2017]. The car is now five years old and has been regularly maintained. However, I have observed significant issues with the paint, which is bubbling and peeling off in large amounts in several areas of the vehicle. This condition is concerning, as it not only affects the vehicle’s appearance but
... also has the potential to cause rust and other mechanical issues if left unaddressed. Given that the peeling is occurring despite proper care and no external factors such as accidents or environmental damage, I believe this may be a manufacturing defect. I am requesting an evaluation of this issue and any available remedies under the manufacturer’s warranty, especially considering the potential for long-term damage to the vehicle’s structure and mechanical components. A-pillar/hinge integrity engineering concern. While opening my door in a parking lot, the wind caught the door before I could catch the door. The door met the hinge stop and flexed enough for the edge of the door panel to contact a bolt on the A-pillar door hinge assembly, causing a small crease in the aluminum door panel. My concern is that in 30 years of driving, I have had a door caught be
... wind before but never had damage to the vehicle. This was not a strong wind, just enough to catch the door. The A-pillar is now flexed slightly such that the door panel gap is larger and seems related to the actual A-pillar flex, not a hinge failure. Vehicle testing of the 22 Ford Expedition has show some poor performance in the A-pillar area and I am concerned that this door issue is due to poor engineering and strength of the A-pillar. I have had the vehicle inspected at the Ford dealership and a customer service complain with Ford is in process. I do not feel this issue can be attributed to user error or considered "accidental" but is due to structural/safety deficiency of the A-pillar structure. Toyota is providing coverage for repairs related to the condition described above. The following information is provided to inform you and your staff of the program notification schedule and your degree of involvement. Customer Support Program Coverage Details This Customer Support Program provides coverage for involved vehicles with the original factory Blizzard Pearl or Super White paint. The covered condition may occur when sunlight over time degrades the adhesion between the factory-applied paint primer coat layer and the base metal electrodeposition layer causing the paint to peel from the metal body panel. If the condition is verified, the specific panel affected will be repainted. · The Primary Coverage will be offered until December 11, 2022, regardless of mileage. · After the Primary Coverage, the Secondary Coverage is applicable for 10 years from the date of first use, regardless of mileage. This is a supplemental update to Complaint #11656525 regarding NHTSA Recall 25V170 for my 2024 Tesla Cybertruck (VIN: [XXX] ). On [XXX], Tesla returned my vehicle after performing the recall repair. However, the results are visibly flawed on both sides of the vehicle. One side of the cant rail panel overlaps and is misaligned, while the opposite side is spaced too far apart, leaving a visible gap
... . The right-side gasket was not seated and required me to manually push it back into place. When I raised concerns, Tesla acknowledged that the misalignment exceeds their own internal tolerance threshold, and I was told that it was due to engineering limitations with the replacement parts. They also indicated I may need to return for new parts once a proper fix is available — implying the current repair may not be final or sufficient. This leaves me driving a vehicle that, in my view, remains structurally compromised, potentially vulnerable to panel instability, water intrusion, or corrosion — especially given Colorado’s weather and road conditions. The original recall involved panels detaching while driving. This level of misfitment does not inspire confidence in the safety or durability of the so-called remedy.
