My 2024 vw Id4 has 2 long ignored safety recalls. The dealer i bought car from won't respond and I'm very far down the waiting list for repairs. My car isn't in a garage and one of the recalls for the door handles is worsened by it being always outdoors. Would you please help me get both recalls fixed?

I own a 2019 Newmar King Aire and have lost two bay door skins in the past couple weeks during a trip from the West Coast to the East Coast. The first one was never recovered and I am horrified what might have happened if it would have hit someone. After we lost the first one, I inspected the rest of them, (14 in total) and they all felt secure. I then checked them again a couple hours prior to
... losing the second one. The Second one, I recovered after it flew up and damaged the side of my coach. These skins are only held on with 1/2" two-sided tape and I believe they will all fail eventually. And it is only a matter of time before someone is seriously hurt or killed. I have additional photos if I can help in any way. I have asked Newmar what I can do to repair this situation, and they told me I was out of warranty, but they would review this issue and get back to me. Date of Occurrence: Monday, [XXX] While driving on [XXX] in Florida, the Exterior A-Pillar on the Drivers Side Window blew off of my vehicle. The entire thing! My Vehicle has been under a Recall for this very problem. Safety Recall Notice 24S02/NHTSA Recall 24V031. I even had a repair appointment set up at the Dealership that we bought the vehicle from in 2018. Paradise Ford in Cocoa, FL.
... Upon arrival, I was informed that they had no parts and would actually, be calling all of the other clients that were scheduled that day for the same repair. Since then, I have received an additional Letter from the Ford Company letting me know that Parts are still unavailable. Now, that this has occurred, I have reached out to a local Ford Dealership here in Wisconsin (our Primary Residence) and also been told that no parts are available. I am currently awaiting a call back from them as of yesterday 05/29/2025, to see if there are any other options other than them using an off market part to replace the Pillar at my cost (option told to me by their Service Scheduling Girl. Needless to say, we averted a possible very bad situation this past Monday. If this piece, which is rather larger, had hit another car, there could have been a very negative outcome. My complaint is that, I am now driving a vehicle that is missing an important part. I want it fixed. We have been waiting, patiently, for going on 2 years. Upon research, I've seen articles written that these parts have been on Backorder since this recall was initiated. And, that there are approximately 5% of these vehicles that will experience the disengagement of this part(s). Sounds like Ford is dropping the ball on this, big time. What are my options now? I need to get this repaired as well as have the Passenger side Pillar also replaced since one has already 'fallen off'. And, the entire Drivers side Window is now exposed to additional damage/failure without that piece in place. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5Read more

I am filing a complaint regarding a serious design flaw in the Porsche Taycan that allows road debris and rocks to damage its radiator fans and cooling system, posing safety risks. The radiator fans are critical for thermal management in this electric vehicle, cooling the high voltage battery, power electronics, and motors to ensure safe operation, optimal performance, and battery longevity. Damag
... ed fans can lead to overheating, reduced power output, or system shutdowns, increasing the risk of accidents, especially during high-speed or demanding driving conditions. Numerous Taycan owners, including myself, have reported radiator and fan damage from small rocks or debris entering through the front grille or wheel well vents. This issue has caused loud fan noises, reduced cooling efficiency, or complete fan failure, with repair costs ranging from $2000-$7000. I recently had replace both radiator fans in the total repair cost was approximately $6800. Porsche attributes these failures to external road hazards, often denying warranty claims, and owners face costly repairs or filing claims with their car insurance company. The Taycan’s cooling system design is inadequate for a high performance EV marketed for diverse driving conditions, including gravel roads or roads that are going through the process of re-pavement. The exposed fans and radiators are prone to damage, compromising the vehicle’s safety and reliability. This widespread issue warrants a recall to address the design flaw, such as installing robust protective screens or redesigning the cooling system to prevent debris ingress. Without intervention, owners face ongoing safety risks and financial burdens. I urge the NHTSA to investigate and mandate a recall to ensure the Taycan’s critical cooling systems function safely under normal driving conditions.Read more

The following is copied from: NHTSA ID Number: 11487520 Incident Date [XXX] Consumer Location SAN JOSE, CA On nine separate documented occasions, the passenger front wheel molding trim piece, in which one of the proximity sensors is mounted, completely detached, causing the proximity sensor to alarm continuously. On two of these nine occasions, the trim piece detached while the vehicle was trave
... ling on the road, and on one of these two occasions, the vehicle was traveling on the highway at highway speeds. On this occasion, after detaching completely, the trim piece was observed through the rear view and side mirrors, shattering on the road and scattering debris across the highway, potentially causing a traffic hazard for the cars following. On this last occasion, the vehicle was also traveling with the assistance of the Adaptive Cruse Control and Forward Collision Warning features, which both caused the vehicle's emergency avoidance systems to activate when the proximity sensor was falsely triggered. If there were other vehicles nearby, this could have caused a high speed accident as my vehicle executed both an emergency braking and collision avoidance maneuver for no real reason. Please note that I have documented reports of the possible safety issues due to the wheel well trim detaching to the Tesla service department for several of the times I've had the vehicle in for repair. In all nine instances, I've been told that my vehicle is the only one that exhibits this problem. A statement I find difficult to believe as I have observed other vehicles of the same make and model driving around without the trim pieces, and just recently captured a photograph of a Model X driving on the highway with the trim piece detaching as the wind was catching it. See the red arrow in the photograph attached below. This report adds two additional photographs of the same issue that have been taken since the original report was filed.Read more

I bought my 2022 Ram 2500 brand new as a factory order. It is currently in the shop at Ron Lewis Ram in Cranberry Twp, PA to get a rear window water leak diagnosed. Through the power of Google search, I was able to find that countless Ram 1500 trucks have had this identical issue and a TSB exists for it. The TSB for the Ram 1500 (23-098-23 Rev A) states that it was caused by a manufacturing issue, that the repairs will be made, and that Ram will cover the repair until the truck hits 8 years/ 150,000 miles. I cannot find a TSB for the 2500 trucks that have the identical issue and I can't believe for a second that I have the only 2500 Ram on the road with this issue, especially after seeing the identical problem with the Ram 1500 and even the Jeep Gladiator, all from the same manufacturer of Stellantis- who owns both Ram and Jeep. The interior door panels on both front doors of my 2016 Dodge Charger SXT have warped and pulled away from the frame near the window area. ... functionality. I believe this could compromise occupant safety in the event of a side-impact collision. The issue is visible and can be inspected upon request. The problem has not been officially confirmed by a Dodge dealer, but it is widely documented online and the subject of an active class action lawsuit [XXX] et al. v. FCA US LLC).
