On May 31st I noticed the front passenger side trim panel that runs alongside the window was detaching. After showing a friend, he told me to put double sided 3m tape, that's used on vehicles, under it. I already had some so did it that day. It still sticks out a little though. Then a few days later, I got an email from nhtsa informing me of a recall on that part. When I checked, it wasn't for my
... exact vehicle. When I went out to take a picture of it for this complaint, I found the front driver side trim panel also starting to detach. I will need to better adhere both panels this week, myself. I will be driving 1500 miles next week, mostly at interstate speed. I don't want to chance losing those panels.Read more

at 2:30 PM i had noticed that my passenger rear trim, right above my trunk was loose. I made note of it. about three hours later, i was driving down the interstate and i noticed it came off and was flying through the air. Thankfully it didn’t hit another vehicle but this isn’t the first time I have had issues with the trim and a lot of other k5 owners have had issues as well.

Incident date: Feb 4, 2025
In February I was driving to an appt. when the side panel on driver's door broke & started flying around & hitting car. (It has the numbers to enter the car without a key.) So I had to roll down window 1/2 way, grab the broken part & drive 18 miles to town, holding the part so it wouldn't fly off (in 30 degree weather!) So I drove by the Ford Dealership where I got my car. They thought there

My 2022 Hyundai Venue has a serious water intrusion issue that has gone unresolved for over a year. Every time it rains water pours into the cabin, especially on the passenger side leaving the floor soaked. I have to vacuum out water daily and use towels to prevent further damage. The vehicle has developed severe mold, which is a health risk, especially for my infant daughter who rides in the car.
... When the dealership first inspected it, they said it was the sunroof seal and would take several days to repair. Since the part wasn’t covered under warranty, I wasn’t offered a loaner and couldn’t be without a car. When I returned later, they said it likely wasn’t the sunroof after all, as there was no water damage at the top. They also said replacing the seal would be risky. After running their water tests, they claimed no water was entering the vehicle, despite clear evidence of ongoing leaks. To manage the constant water intrusion, I’ve had to regularly shop vac the car to remove standing water, line the interior with towels, and place multiple DampRid bags and buckets inside the vehicle weekly to try and reduce moisture. This has become a nearly daily routine, especially during rainy weather, and the problem continues to worsen. The interior constantly smells musty and feels unsafe for me and daughter. I am very concerned that the repeated water exposure may have damaged the electrical system or affected the airbags, especially the side airbags located in the door areas. I fear these safety systems could fail in the event of an accident. This is not an isolated problem. I have found multiple reports online of other Hyundai Venue owners experiencing the same leak in the same area. This suggests a larger factory defect that Hyundai is not addressing. See attached. I am asking NHTSA to investigate this issue, as it presents both a health and a serious safety risk. This defect should be evaluated for potential recall to protect other drivers and passengers.Read more

This complaint is about the rear passenger side window on the vehicle. It is available for inspection upon request. This was a huge safety risk for me today. I had the rear passenger side door open (with the window rolled all the way up) gathering my things from the back seat. I closed the door with a normal amount of force and the window completely shattered causing me to be covered in glass shar
... ds. Luckily, no one was sitting in the back seat and at least I didn't get glass in my eyes. However, this is quite concerning. I don't believe the glass was under any stress or pressure. The temperature was 78 degrees and cloudy outside today, which doesn't seem extreme to me. The window was in perfect condition as I just bought the truck 2 months ago. After the window broke, I went directly to the dealership I bought it from, where they inspected it, and taped a trash bag over it. They told me there was a recall on windows for the new Toyota Tundra models, however, not yet the Tacoma. I believe this is a potential danger to many people and it should investigated.Read more

I took the automobile to the Kia dealership and they filed a claim with Kia Consumer Affairs and a representative came out and told them they needed to file with Kia Tech Line. They did that weeks ago, to no response. The dealership actually called me today and told me to try to contact Kia Consumer affairs ourselves to see if they would respond to us. I did see that there have been reports of this previously and class-action lawsuits for this issue. The Kia dealership guy said they had a customer that this had also happened to and when we went to get a rental car Enterprise told us that they also had a customer with a Kia in the last two weeks that had the same thing happen to them. It’s been a known issue that Toyota Highlander has transmission problems under 100k miles from 2016-2021 or later (social media sites confirmed such). Owners are asking to have this put out as a recall by toy. All parts are on back order and takes several months before transmission can be repaired or replaced. I purchased this vehicle from Vroom, who is also my lender under United Auto Credit. The car was sold with a washed title and undisclosed prior structural and mechanical damage. I have documentation confirming the vehicle had serious pre-existing issues and should never have been sold as a clean-title car. The differential has failed three times in under 6 months, and I’ve experienced full driv
... etrain failure following multiple service visits to Dodge. I had requested inspection of the transmission, but after every visit, the issues worsened. The vehicle is currently available for inspection. The car exhibits violent vibrations, power loss, and unpredictable handling, making it unsafe to drive at highway speeds. The differential is on the verge of catastrophic failure again. These issues risk loss of vehicle control, wheel lock up, and potential collisions. Has the issue been confirmed by a dealer or service center? Yes. Dodge dealerships have confirmed repeated differential failure and ongoing drivetrain problems. Independent shops have also verified signs of prior impact and poor repairs. Has the vehicle been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance? It has been brought to authorized Dodge service centers at least six times and is the subject of an open Dodge customer care case (7+ months). No police or insurance inspections at this time. This vehicle was fraudulently sold with hidden damage and has presented major, repeated safety hazards. I am asking the NHTSA to investigate not only this vehicle, but the broader pattern of dangerous sales by Vroom/United Auto Credit and Dodge, including title washing and stalling tactics to run out factory warranties before resolution.Read more

While the vehicle was parked and unattended, the rear window of my 2025 Nissan Pathfinder spontaneously shattered without any impact or external force. There was no evidence of vandalism, collision, or falling objects, and the vehicle was stationary at the time. The glass shattered entirely, leaving shards throughout the interior cargo area and rendering the vehicle unsafe to drive or leave unatte
... nded. When the glass initially broke, there was no glass that fell inward or outward — it appeared to be a slow cracking failure, where the entire pane began breaking down gradually. I approached the vehicle to investigate and opened the rear door to get a better look. As soon as I opened the door, the natural movement and vibration from the door caused the already-shattered glass to collapse inward, which is what you see in the attached photos. Unfortunately, this makes it appear as if there was an impact from the outside, when in fact the glass was already fractured prior to any physical contact or movement. Immediately after the incident, I took the vehicle to a certified Nissan dealership for inspection. The dealer reviewed the damage but was unable to identify any clear cause or impact point, nor did they confirm a manufacturer defect. Regardless, I documented the incident extensively with photographs and obtained a formal service report. To protect the vehicle from weather exposure and theft, I am proceeding with a rear glass replacement. I am submitting this report to NHTSA because I believe this to be a spontaneous failure of the rear window glass that may indicate a broader issue with the manufacturing or installation of this component. If other drivers experience this failure — especially while the vehicle is in motion — it could pose a serious safety risk to passengers. I respectfully request that this issue be formally investigated. I am also pursuing reimbursement through Nissan Consumer Affairs.Read more

Part of the update includes a specific window sticker that is to be applied to the driver's door window. That decal is missing. There is no evidence that it was ever there (I have pictures). The car was recovered but cannot be driven. It must be towed due to the damage. Another concern is the engine and drive train. Criminals were out joy riding in our stolen car on an almost full tank of gas. Because the car cannot be driven, I don't know if there is any damage to any part(s) of the drive train. Since purchasing the vehicle on September 27, 2024, I have experienced a series of troubling issues that raise serious concerns about its design, manufacturing, and overall safety, including: Airbag system malfunction: My airbags were nonfunctional for over a month. Tire-related issues: Required full replacement of the initial set of tires. Persistent alignment problems Bluetooth audio pro

Defective paint: Blisters and bubbles in the rear quarter panel paint. Fuel module failure: Most concerning, the vehicle abruptly stopped on the road last week and required towing. I was later told the cause was a fuel module failure. Each of these issues is concerning on its own. Taken together, they represent a troubling pattern of unreliability and potential risk to my safety and that of others on the road. They’ve also resulted in a significant loss of my time. This vehicle has spent over a month at the dealership for service—astounding for a truck that’s only eight months old. The vehicle was recently inspected by an official Mercedes Benz service department prior to this and then by an official Mercedes Benz Body Shop following the damage. There was no warning lamps or any symptoms or signs of damage prior to this failure. There is several noted recalls on other VIN models for Mercedes GLE 43 for this exact same issue of failure to this specific front roof panel but for some reason my vehicle VIN is not included. I had extensive work done to the suspension, drivers door, headlight, fender, bumper, grill, and the hood. In my second collision, a deer ran into my truck while I was traveling at 70 MPH. The head of the deer damaged the headlight and wiring harness, the bumper, grill, and hood and its body heavily damaged my passenger front door and fender. My passenger rear door also had some damage. No injuries occurred but the impacts should have caused a deployment. I am aware that there was a Recall on 2021 & 2024 Titans about the air bags having a delayed or failed deployment however I received no letter from this, neither is this in any of my printed service records. I would like Nissan to inspect my air bag system to see if there’s a defect that is causing them not to deploy or to make sure that my Titan was not missed in the group of trucks that had this defect, that way the recall can be extended to more 2021 Titans.
