I was driving on the highway when I heard a whistle. When I arrived at my destination, I was surprised to see that the front driver’s side windshield trim panel was missing and flew off when I was driving. Safety Concern and Costly Repair – 2022 Chevy Silverado Rear Window Leak. I am writing to raise a serious concern regarding a known defect in the 2022 Chevy Silverado involving the sliding rear window. The window is prone to leaking, and in my case, every time it rained or I went through a car wash, the headliner above the rear seats became saturated. Upon consulting with the dealership, I wa
... s informed that this is a documented issue and that a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) has been issued. They advised immediate repair due to the risk of water intrusion damaging the electrical wiring associated with the airbag system. This poses a significant safety hazard, as compromised wiring could result in airbag malfunction or failure to deploy during an accident. Despite this being a known manufacturing or design flaw, I was charged over $800 for the necessary repair. Given the potential impact on critical safety features, this issue warrants urgent attention and accountability. It is deeply concerning that such a defect could jeopardize passenger safety and yet result in a substantial out-of-pocket expense for the owner. I strongly urge a review of this matter and consideration for reimbursement or broader corrective action to ensure customer safety and trust.Read more

I am reporting a significant paint delamination issue on my 2013 Hyundai Elantra in Sparkling White. The paint has been peeling, bubbling, and chipping particularly on the roof, trunk, and hood, exposing the primer and bare metal underneath. This is not due to wear, environmental exposure, or physical damage. It appears to be a factory defect related to improper paint or primer application. This
... issue is widespread among Hyundai owners of the same year and color, and several technical service bulletins have already been issued for similar paint problems (such as TSB 19-BD-005H). However, Hyundai has refused to repair my vehicle, citing the expired warranty, despite clear evidence of a manufacturing defect. The exposed metal poses a rust and corrosion risk, which could compromise vehicle safety and structural integrity over time. Multiple online Hyundai Santa Fe forums make mention of the fuel door being a widespread issue and suggest requiring replacement of an actuator in fuel door by dealership or prying the fuel door open with a screwdriver. The hazard warning switch on my 2011 Acura MDX Technology & Entertainment Package VIN [XXX] sticks. It is due to a manufacturing defect and not because of normal wear and tear. That is a safety concern because when it is pressed and sticks, such as when giving the right of way to an emergency vehicle, or in bad weather, it not possible to make it unstuck while driving, and requires a screwdriver
... to pry it back to unstuck position, and if that option is not available then the stuck hazard switch will drain the battery when the vehicle is shut down. Please refer to enclosed Acura ServiceNews Article B15070C. On 8/9/2025, for my service at Hendrick Acura, I requested this known safety issue be fixed. I demonstrated by pressing the hazard switch that got stuck and required a screwdriver to unstick it. But the dealer unreasonably wanted me to pay $99 diagnostic fee to troubleshoot an obvious issue and even when I showed them the Acura ServiceNews Article B15070C. So, I was forced to confirm the issue indirectly myself. On 8/11/2025, I ordered a replacement hazard switch part number 33510-STX-A02 from another Acura dealer Contemporary Cars, for $37.02, per enclosed, even though it was a waste of my money. I swapped out the hazard switch and as expected it still got stuck. I have enclosed two pictures of my DIY diagnostic. I then searched for replacement dashboard center panel online from the Acura dealers, but I am unable to find any available. I then contacted Acura Client Relations on 8/25/2025, and they opened a Case # [XXX]. Kevin from Acura Client Relations called and stated that B15070C does not apply to my VIN. But I disagree because B15070C states for 'Affected Vehicles' - "2010-13 MDX (All trim levels except base." After the sale, I obtained evidence that the vehicle had, in fact, been in an accident during transport and subsequently altered and resold without disclosure. This constitutes misrepresentation and consumer fraud under Michigan law. Specifically: • The dealership and its employees knowingly concealed the accident and subsequent alterations. • The vehicle was sold as "factory new," despite being materially compromised in safety and integrity. • I paid full market value under false pretenses, believing the vehicle to be undamaged and original. I have retained documentation, communications, and repair evidence that substantiate this fraud, including proof that dealership personnel were aware of the accident. I am prepared to provide all supporting records for your review. This misconduct not only caused me financial harm but also created a serious public safety risk, as the vehicle does not meet proper safety standards. I respectfully request that your office investigate this matter for potential violations of Michigan's Consumer Protection Act and any applicable fraud statutes. Please advise me on next steps and whether additional information is required. I am willing to fully cooperate with your investigation. 1.
