I had been driving on the freeway for about 5 minutes, and suddenly heard broken glass in my car. It was dark (around 8pm) so I looked around as I was driving and didn't see any of my visible windows broken. I then heard more glass shattering sound and realized it was my sunroof glass that had suddenly broken. The mesh cover beneath it was closed so I was not injured. When I went home and did a q

It has been 2 weeks of calling my local Kia as well as Kia Customer care and my car is still sitting idle with the broken glass on top.Read more

The paint on all four doors of my 2022 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition - White Pearl is cracking at the seam where sealant is applied, with visible rust beneath. This issue began at approximately 32,000 miles, within the warranty period. The cracks have worsened over time, and I’m concerned about potential corrosion and structural weakening of the doors.
In March 2025, I reported the issue to
... my local Honda dealer, who confirmed the cracks and instructed me to obtain repair estimates at their body shop. By May 2025, the regional Honda rep denied the claim due to repair cost and said to get a 2nd estimate from another shop they specified. That claim was again denied due to cost. The dealer told me to contact Honda Corporate which I did in October 2025. I was told the car was out of warranty and no further investigation would be made.
The cracks and visible rust raise concerns about premature corrosion, potentially weakening the door structure and latches, which could lead to a safety hazard over time. The delay in processing the claim appears intentional, as it pushed the car out of warranty.Read more

I am reporting a serious vehicle safety hazard caused by improper and unsafe repair work performed by USA Platinum Motor, located at 1221 California Lane #126B, Arlington, TX. I brought my 2017 Mercedes-Benz C300 in for a cold start rattle with no warning lights or prior issues. The shop diagnosed a loose timing chain and I authorized the repair. After the repairs, the vehicle was returned with c
... ritical safety defects, including a loose fuel pump, unsecured fuel line, missing bolts, and improperly reassembled engine components. Shortly after pickup, the car experienced loss of acceleration on the interstate, a strong odor of fuel, and a sudden loss of power, creating a dangerous and life-threatening situation. The vehicle had to be towed back to the shop. The manager, who is not a certified mechanic, admitted he personally “fixed” the issue by tightening the fuel pump himself. A Mercedes-Benz diagnostic inspection later confirmed multiple severe assembly errors, including missing fasteners, unsecured oil cooler, disconnected vent lines, and other safety-related defects in the fuel and cooling systems. These unsafe and negligent repairs created an extreme fire hazard, engine instability, and risk of sudden failure while driving. I am requesting a formal NHTSA investigation into this matter to ensure vehicle safety compliance and to prevent similar incidents affecting other consumers.Read more

This could have caused a really dangerous situation had the vehicle been in motion. I was in the parking lot with nothing touching the headrest. Looking at the headrest there are jagged pieces of plastic that just crumbled to bits. Upon further investigation, this is a known issue with this type of vehicle, but it's not a recall. 70,000 miles. I have a well cared for, garaged 2007 Tacoma. It had a recall for a known frame corrosion issue. I had it inspected by Toyota and they chose not to replace the frame, choosing instead to apply a CRC spray in 2016. I have learned that my vehicle was sprayed by a formula that was later known to Toyota to harbor water and accelerate rusting. My vehicle has just failed state inspection and was identif
... ied to have a cracked frame in two places. Both left and right sides of the frame, behind the cab, and directly across from one another. The fact that Toyota now chooses not to honor any warranties, or provide consumer help, (I just spoke with their "Brand Engagement Center"), when I am the recipient of 2 known and compounding failures seems a dereliction of responsibility. I have a vehicle that should have a lot of service life left but for inadequate steel being used in production, that was then given an inadequate remedy which was later discontinued by Toyota after being found to accelerate corrosion. This seems like an obvious case of manufacturer responsibility but I'm being told I'll receive no assistance from the Toyota corporation. I wonder whether the inspection done in the first place was adequately and responsibly performed.Read more
