2019 BMW X3 with operable sunroof. Significant leakage occurred in front and rear of car risking electrical failure and therefore accident. Dealer denies that this is a problem and Bmw takes no responsibility for what is a hidden defect of the drainage system for the sunroof. Hundreds of individuals have the same exact problem. Hundreds are automatically denied any assistance or responsibility b
... y dealer or manufacture. In a prior claim, it appears that Bmw lost and was found guilty of concealment of a manufacturers defect and was instructed to pay $500 million to plaintiff. Examination of law firms indicate that this significant problem affecting hundreds perhaps thousands of Bmw x-3 has not been registered as a significant complaint, notwithstanding the fact that they have already been in court and been found guilty. Please contact me 804-241-2773 Cell. Or [email protected]. Examination of owner handbook produced by Bmw informs owner that rails and drains for sunroof must be cleaned. But they indicate that problems with this issue are not covered by the warranty. This needs to be verified. Anecdotal Reports indicate that hundreds of complaints have been received. Bmw is denying any responsibility. Conversation with attorneys indicate this is a habitual problem with Bmw. In this case, it’s a manufacturers defect, on disclosed, causes damage, all problems are denied by manufacturer. Consider this a formal submission of a complaint and a violation of variety of rules and laws covering local, state, and federal jurisdiction Richard grossberg 405 Westham Parkway, Richmond, VA 23229Read more

The vehicle presents a compounded safety defect creating a risk of passenger entrapment and high-voltage fire. 1. High Voltage Manufacturing Defect: On September 3, 2024, authorized Tesla Service technicians diagnosed a critical safety fault. The service record states technicians 'found A/C compressor HV harness was incorrectly routed, rubbing against the steering column' and 'found sand inside t
... he connector'. Tesla repaired this defects under the 'Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty,' confirming it was a factory assembly error. This defect created an imminent risk of a high-voltage short to the steering column, which could result in driver electrocution or total vehicle power loss at speed. 2. Passenger Entrapment: The vehicle has a documented history of Rear Falcon Wing Door failure (7 repair attempts from April 2023 to May 2025). The doors frequently fail to latch or open. On July 8, 2025, the Left Rear Door failed to open due to a sensor fault. 3. Combined Hazard: If the incorrectly routed High Voltage harness causes a vehicle power failure, the rear doors' electronic latches will fail. Because the doors have a history of mechanical jamming, passengers in the rear seats would be trapped in a vehicle with a compromised High Voltage system.Read more

Subject: Safety Complaint – Sharp Upper Door Edge Causing Facial Injury (Hyundai IONIQ 6, 2023) Message: To whom it may concern, I would like to submit a safety complaint regarding my 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 6 (VIN: [XXX] ). On October 14, 2024, my wife suffered a facial injury caused by an extremely sharp upper edge of the front door. This occurred in our driveway at [XXX] . The injury happened when
... the front door stopped at its mid-detent position and the sharp, exposed upper edge made forceful contact with her forehead and the area next to her eye. She avoided a direct eye injury only due to quick reflex. This design presents a serious risk to passengers, especially those of shorter stature. I have photographic documentation showing the sharp door edge and the injury mechanism. Hyundai Motor America was informed, but they dismissed the case and advised us simply to “be more careful.” They offered a $150 virtual compensation card, which I did not use, because accepting it could be interpreted as accepting their proposed settlement. Hyundai insisted on dealer inspection, which is irrelevant because this is not a defect of a single unit — all vehicles of this model have the same door-edge geometry. I believe this is a safety-related design hazard affecting all Hyundai IONIQ 6 vehicles. I respectfully request that NHTSA review this case, as the risk of eye or facial injury is significant. Please let me know if you require additional information or photographs. The front trunk (frunk) on my 2026 Tesla Model Y Juniper lacks both internal lighting and an emergency safety release mechanism. This design flaw creates an unnecessary and severe safety risk, as a small adult or child could easily become trapped in the frunk with no way to signal for help or escape. In low-light conditions—such as at night or in a garage without adequate illumination—the abse
... nce of a light would exacerbate disorientation and panic for anyone trapped. Without an internal release latch or glow-in-the-dark handle (standard in many vehicle trunks to prevent entrapment deaths), this could lead to a life-threatening suffocation or injury situation, especially if the frunk is accidentally closed on a person during loading/unloading. I discovered this issue while inspecting the frunk during routine cleaning and noticed that my four-year-old sat very comfortably inside the frunk listening to music while I cleaned the car. No incident has occurred yet, but the potential for harm is clear and warrants immediate investigation, as it violates basic entrapment-prevention standards observed in rear trunks and other vehicles. This defect compromises occupant safety and should be addressed through a recall or a retrofit that includes an illuminated emergency release. Please investigate similar complaints for this model year.Read more

Subsequently, when I drove it one day after, the car lost balance and nearly went into the opposite direction of the road on a two-lane street. I am filing a complaint regarding Ford Recall 24502 / NHTSA Recall 24V031 for my 2017 Ford Police Interceptor Utility (Explorer-based). My vehicle’s A-pillar interior trim was identified as defective under this safety recall. For nearly two years, the repair has not been completed because the dealer claims the required parts are still on backorder. In that time, the A-pillar trim on my vehicle
... has become loose and is now detaching while driving, which creates a dangerous condition. The loose trim vibrates, moves, and could detach completely at highway speeds, posing a safety hazard to me and other drivers. Ford and the dealership have confirmed the recall but have not provided a repair, a temporary safety fix, or a loaner vehicle. I have repeatedly contacted the dealer, and they continue to tell me that Ford has not supplied the part. Because this is a federally mandated safety recall and the defect is actively creating a crash risk, I am requesting that NHTSA investigate Ford’s failure to provide parts or a remedy within a reasonable timeframe. This is an unresolved safety hazard, and Ford has not provided a solution.Read more

My 2025 F-150 Tremor (5.0 V8, 402A package with modular front bumper) has a large open area in the front bumper. Through this opening you can clearly see the front of the engine and related components. This appears to be a design issue rather than a one-off build problem. Other 2025 Tremor owners with the same 402A modular bumper are reporting the same concern and asking whether a cover is missin
... g from the factory. My concern is that the exposed opening could allow rocks, road debris, or off-road obstacles to directly impact vital components at highway speed or when driving on rough/uneven surfaces. This may increase the risk of damage, fluid leaks, or sudden loss of power/steering if components are struck. It also appears inconsistent with typical under-engine protection on off-road-oriented trims. I am asking NHTSA to review whether this bumper configuration provides adequate protection for critical components on the 2025 F-150 Tremor and whether a design change or shield/plate is needed for safety.Read more

The interior door panel on my 2019 Dodge Charger began to separate/warp from the door frame on the Front drivers and Front Passengers door panels. This separation is causing the door lock mechanism to bind and b

I have also had to replace the window motor a little over a year ago and it is again starting to fail. AJ Dohmann now Geaux Dodge in Plaquamian Louisiana replaced this. This defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety because it could impede egress from the vehicle in an emergency due to the malfunctioning door lock. It may also compromise the integrity of the side curtain airbag deployment area.
