Tried to open sunroof and it came off its track and twisted which caused some pieces to break. It is stuck in an open position. The vehicle has 144,000 miles so it no longer has any warranty coverage. We had to gorilla tape it down otherwise it could fly off while going down the road. I’ve read there has been many of the same incident happening to others.

A panel on the roof of the vehicle detached while driving at highway speed (60MPH). The panel is held on by bolts and affixed to the roof with glue. The glue failed and the bolts do not attach directly to the roof. The panel is fairly heavy and large and would present a major hazard to a following vehicle. Door check has failed in the frame. The spot welds have broken in similar fashion to the Ford Customer Satisfaction Program 23B56 on the Escapes. There are popping noises, creaking, alignment issues, and prevents the window from rolling down.

Immediately after closing the trunk, the trunk lid torsion bar snapped. The trunk lid will no longer stay up and is very heavy to open.
