I received my car with tailgate misaligned, it could not be adjusted. There are some more out there like mine. I feel this is a safety problem that the area of the body where the hinges attach is not stiff or strong enough to open/close the heavy unbalanced tailgate when the car is not completely level causing damage to the area of the body part of the tailgate and tailgate safety switch not allow
... ing the tailgate to close. This is a serious structural defect that Kia America is ignoring. My dealer took it to the body shop they use who tried 7 different adjustments that did not fix mine but said can be fixed by body work. Kia is just ignoring this as I feel if the truth comes out they will be forced to recall the EV6 and they have no solution. I have written a certified letter to the CEO of Kia America and was received by front desk/mailroom and I have not received a response or call. I have been in contact to Kia customer service and honestly they have been of no assistance. I am sending you the important videos of an EV6 that the tailgate is attempting to open/close when car is not on an even surface. This is a serious is, mine is cosmetic as it came that way from the factory but I feel for the same reason, maybe car, tailgate or assemblers were not completely level during tailgate installation or maybe car was moved on assembly line with tailgate open causing the misalignment on mine and some others. I have been in contact with numerous owners on the forums, social media, etc. I have sent information to news outlets that do investigations. These are puctures of the damage caused when car was not level. The problem with the vehicle is severe failure of the frame axle brackets. These brackets were discovered to have serious failure during a frame inspection in May 2022. The brackets are L-shaped aluminum which the steel axles bolt onto. The brackets are all failing in the same way: stress cracks in the 90-degree bend in the aluminum frame bracket. 3 of the 4 brackets have failed (half of each brac
... ket cracked off). The vehicle is available for inspection at the moment, but I am pursuing getting the issue fixed. I have taken a number of pictures to document the failure. Full failure of any of these brackets will result in the axle becoming detached from the vehicle. This poses an significant risk as the trailer will no longer be maneuverable since it will be dragging on the ground and could contribute to an vehicle accident. The detached axle is a sizeable component which also poses a risk if struck by other vehicles. Luckily I caught the issue before catastrophic failure occurred during operation. At the moment the vehicle is unusable until the problem is fixed. I have seen accounts of this failure posted by others online, so it is somewhat "known". I am not aware of any recalls or response for other instances from the manufacturer. My vehicle has not been reported or inspected by the manufacturer because the brand (Livin Lite) was discontinued by parent company Thor / KZ Industries around 2019. The only warning would be from a manual inspection of the trailer frame; there are otherwise no indicators that the brackets are going to fail.Read more

My Tailgate Came Open Unexpectedly, while my trailer was hooked up. I was in a development going around a turn very shortly after pulling off from my starting point. This is the reason that my tailgate came open unexpectedly and caused significant damage. I have mentioned this recall, and I get alerts weekly about the open recall on the tailgate. Nothing is being done. I run a business , and have already had the inconvenience and unsafe operations, ongoing for over a year now. I am extremely busy, and it is extremely frustrating calling and emailing, with no fix in site. It’s insanity.Read more

On Sunday June 5, 2022, I had to remove my 2019 Porsche Macan S right rear tire because it had a screw in it. I ahd to do it that day because its leaking had increased and it went totally flat, while I had been waiting many days for my purchased tire and road hazard service. I removed the tire and put in a temporary plug so it could be taken to the servicing dealer, Porsche Silver Spring, MD, o
... n Tuesday June 7, 2022. While I was doing this work, the right rear jack lift point on the car failed and moved sideways towards the inboard of the car, allowing the jack to move under the car. Fortunately I was able to get the tire back on, but the car fell onto the jack and was damaged. The trim pieces and right rear door were damaged. I have pictures of the damage and the failed jack point. I was using the Porsche supplied jack and at all times followed all Porsche directions from the Porsche supplied “Good To Know” app, to the letter. On June 8, 2020 the dealership contacted me and confirmed that the jack point had failed and required replacement. They are also obtained an estimate of the cost to repair the damage to my vehicle caused by the jack point failure. I was very lucky not to have been injured. I believe this is a serious safety problem. I will provide more information upon request, including pictures. I was unable to load the pictures from my cell phone on this report.Read more

Jayco 5th wheel trailers Lippert (LCI Industries) RV Frames have a significant engineering flaw resulting in excessive flex in the front section incorporating the hitch/pinbox, which results in cracked frames, stress cracking in sidewalls and seam separation at joints causing further damage from water intrusion. It is also noted in their own report, that the bolts supporting the fiberglass sidewa
... lls are not large enough to support those sidewalls. This flex and frame cracking cause potential safety hazards due to decreased structural integrity of the frame and structure, leading to a potential hazard on the highway. This has been an issue on 5th wheel trailers for some 20 years, as evidenced by NHTSA ID Number 10208077, in which Manufacturer communication Number 22-043 was released. This notice releases repair instructions on how to remedy the problem on all trailers manufactured before 2021. This notice applies to Jayco Trailers but is common to all Lippert 5th wheel frames across various manufacturers. If you report the stress crack in sidewall before the end of warranty, Jayco pays to have the unit returned to the factory to have major repairs accomplished and pay to return the unit to the customer. If you are out of warranty, as is my case when I reported it, by 1 yr 5 months, they refuse responsibility for any design flaws, and you are responsible for the enormous cost of the repair. I have the well-known stress crack in the sidewall, which continues to grow, exterior, as well as interior trim that will not stay in place after traveling which require constant resealing to prevent water intrusion, floor-to-frame bolts that pull through the frame and protrude through linoleum, front cap fiberglass spider webbing (repaired once under warranty, but has returned), and plastic edging on roof to protect EPDM material wrap to sidewall is pulling the staples from the underlayment as the structure flexes, which will eventually will lead to a compromised roof systemRead more

While driving my 2015 Ford Mustang 70 mph, my passenger side door opened. I had to reach across to pull it closed and nearly lost control of my vehicle. If I had lost control of my vehicle, other motorists would have been harmed. This has happened multiple times since owning the vehicle. I took it to Ford to get it looked at & found out there were 3 safety recalls; 20S30, 15S16, & 16S30. These r
... ecalls were supposed to inspect and fix a defective door latch. If it isn’t fixed, there is potential for the door to unlatch while driving, increasing the risk of injury. This recall affected 2.15 million Ford vehicles. These include the 15 Ford Mustang, 2013-2015 Ford C Max, 2013-2015 FordEscape, 2012-2015 Ford Focus, 2015 Lincoln MKC, & 2014-2016 Ford Transit Connect I spoke with the Ford Service center in Clearwater, FL on June 9th, 2022. They inspected the door latch and stated that it needed to be changed. This defective latch should have been fixed in the previous recall. They only checked the part number. If it wasn’t a certain part number, they marked it as passing and potentially putting thousands or even millions of unsafe vehicles back on the road. My vehicle has a defective door latch and should have been replaced! Ford basically lied to the NHTSA and put millions of drivers at risk on the roads. I contacted Ford Customer Support and asked them to rectify this since it was missed they basically rushed me off the phone and told me to fix it on my own. I’m appalled that Ford would show such a lack of concern for millions of motorists. I sincerely hope the NHTSA can do something about thisRead more

In July 2015 with 25k miles, the interior of the vehicle was leaking water from the sun visor as well as under the glove box. When I made a left turn I could hear water swishing from one side to the other, then saw water coming out from under the glove box area. Water also dripped from the drivers sun visor. I took it to the dealer in Troy MI and they blamed me for having dirty drain holes in the
... sun roof as well as having a wind deflector on the sun roof which caused dirt to build up and clog the drain holes. The sun roof and wind deflector were factory installed as I bought the vehicle brand new in 2013. The dealer did not remove the headliner to see if any mold was visible. They used an air compressor to clean out the clogged drain holes and charged me for the service even though the vehicle was still under warranty (dealer said it was not covered under warranty). I am not aware of the issue happening again, or if it did happen it wasn't enough water for me to notice. I however have and do smell mold in my vehicle daily. Today, June 7, 2022, with 116k miles, after leaving my car parked outside overnight with heavy rain I again experienced water build up inside the car. I saw water coming out from under the glove box and heard it swishing around. I called the dealer in Troy MI and was told they cannot service my vehicle, it is a 4 month wait for diagnosis. I called a second dealer in Macomb MI and was told the vehicle could not be looked at until August and all expenses would be my responsibility. The service tech stated the car would need to be torn apart (dash, door, headliner, etc) to find where the water was coming from. A dealer in Southfield MI would be able to service the vehicle two days from now, I'm suppose to drive two days with water swishing around? What electrical safety issues are at hand here? It seems as though HYUNDAI has a defect in the design or part(s) which is causing this issue. I am also concerned with mold growth from back in 2015.Read more
