The rear subframe failed as a result of pre-mature corrosion while traveling at 70mph. Control of vehicle was lost and could easily have led to a multiple fatality incident if not for luck. After hea
... ring the sound for about a week I visited a local Ford dealer for guidance on where and how to address the noise. The dealership referred me to a collision shop after discovering (and breaking) the door. They acknowledged that the "door check" was inappropriately manufactured as they could see the "rivets" when the door was open; and it appears that the paneling had shifted. Their review of the issue left my door inoperable/and unable to close. They managed to get it to close but now the door check is completely inoperable and my door does not open safely - as the door check is no longer controlling the door opening and closing. Following this visit to a local dealership, I visited 2 collision centers and the dealership where I purchased my vehicle and all 3 locations indicated this is a "known mechanical issues" with 2020 Ford Escapes. The 2 collision centers had multiple Ford Escapes on their lot with the same issue. My car has 50K miles and I was told that Ford considers this part of the bumper to bumper warranty. That seems inappropriate and inaccurate (not to mention convenient for Ford). I am concerned that Ford is building cars with doors that only last 2 years.Read more

It is a common issue with the Grand Design Momentum G-class travel trailers where the interior floor and possibly the frame are flexing so much that is causes the laminate flooring to lift and separate from the plywood underneath. Bubbles in my laminate flooring were found during our initial walk through when our trailer was purchased, I was lead to believe that it was just a simple adhesive issue
... , but have since found from research that this is a common issue with all the g-class trailers. Many people on the Grand Design facebook pages have experienced the same exact issue, in the same exact areas as mine. Several have had them "repaired" to find out that the problem reoccurs. I am truly concerned about the structural integrity of the trailer as I believe that if the frame is flexing to this extent, that there is a lot of potential for it to become a catostrophic failure in the future while traveling down the road, putting myself and others in potential danger. Metal can fatigue and crack over time from being flexed. Bluedog RV (Portland, OR) has seen this issue several times, and has helped customers get their trailers repaired by a company called Fibrenew. I have e-mails from Bluedog confirming that they know a problem exist, but they claim they do not have anyone capable of fixing it, and do not know of anyone who can fix it. Fibrenew no longer is willing to do the repairs as they feel they can not adequately repair them, and they believe it is a structural integrity issue caused by Grand Design engineering. Our trailer was recently taken to Bluedog RV to have this fixed, but it is unknown what they did. The bubbles in our flooring still exist so it is my belief that they did nothing. It has never been inspected by anyone else. Files attached with file names 1,2 and 3 are of my trailer. The other files attached are supporting documents.Read more

The 2022 Ford Maverick has a design flaw the harms the environment and places driver and passengers at risk. If the system is damaged the vehicle is still driveable, but doing so allows gas vapors into the environment and worse, possibly into the passenger compartment. Looking under the veh

Using this vehicle as a truck involves driving on farm land, pastures, lightly wooded areas, etc. This is where the damage may occur. There is no warning posted on the vehicle or in the owners manual that warns drivers to avoid these areas. The solution is simple. Honda is aware of this issue in Canada but has done nothing to address it here in the United States. The vehicle is available for inspection for now. I can't have a vehicle sitting in my driveway that's inoperable due to city codes. The safety of the driver, passengers, pedestrians walking and other vehicles on the road are in danger. This is a very top heavy vehicle that could easily flip and roll over causing seriously injury even death. I was parked in my driveway and put my 2014 Toyota Prius in reverse to back up and park in front of my late husband’s workshop about 15 ft. away,on Oct. 10, 2022. The car sped up so fast I could not brake fast enough (no warning). It stopped when it hit the large door of the workshop, and damaged it and the back of my car, costing about $2,000 to the car. I contacted my insurance agent right away
... , and the person above him at the company the next day, as well as the service manager at the Toyota dealer where we bought the car at the end of 2014. I expect an increase in my premium from my insurance company. I’ll take it to Toyota when it’s done at the auto body shop, but I don’t expect any flaw to be found b/c that is what happened when I had the same kind of accident with this car in Jan., 2022, when I put the car in reverse to back down my long driveway, (which I’d done many times before),and it sped up so fast (SUA) that I couldn’t stop it (no warning). It hit a maple tree in my yard, and it cost about $12,000 to fix the back of my car. I was not injured in either accident, but this flawed accelerator could have caused serious injury to me or others, as it has in many documented accidents in the last 20 years. From the reports I’ve read since my accident last week, thousands of people have experienced similar or worse accidents from a Sudden Unintended Acceleration in their Toyota vehicle. Also, I read in an excellent well-researched and independent report that NHTSA has not researched the accelerator problem thoroughly and has remained noncommittal as to its possible flaws. Toyota wanted to take the “black box” from my Prius in 2022 after my accident, but I didn’t trust them to take it, and tried hard to find an independent engineering group with advanced degrees to study it and identify the flaw in it. I will try again to find such a group. The floor mat was NOT an issue at all—it’s the original one, stuck to the floor about 4” from the accelerator.Read more

The 2007 Toyota Camry has a manufacturing defect related to sticky/melting dashboards as a result of heat or humidity. Toyota sent me a warranty notice for an extension for 10 years from the date of first use of the vehicle, which they determined was the date that I purchased the vehicle on July 31, 2007. In 2013, I took the vehicle to a Toyota dealer, however, they refused to replace the dashboa
... rd because, in their opinion, it was not sufficiently compromised. However, now, years later, the dashboard has become very sticky and reflective. It produces a glare into the windshield, impairing vision, which is now a safety issue due to the manufacturer defect. This defect could cause serious injury and death. On August 5, 2022, I appealed to Toyota customer service for them to replace the dashboard. I emphasized the safety issue. However, a Senior Representative declined to make an exception. I then wrote to [XXX], CEO of Toyota Motor North America to ask for his help (see attached letter). I asked him to personally authorize the dashboard replacement and reply to me directly. Almost two months later, I have not received any communication from him. Moreover, on October 4th, I called Toyota customer service to follow-up on my letter. I was told that [XXX], Executive Office Administrator send me an email on September 1st asking for the best time to contact me. I never received this email, neither in my inbox or in my gmail spam folder. That same day, I called [XXX] and left a detailed voice message. I have called him several times since then, each time leaving a message on his voicemail. He has deliberately refused to return my phone calls. I am appalled that Toyota and its CEO does not take safety issues seriously. I kindly ask you to either contact Toyota on my behalf to have them replace the dashboard, or to issue a recall of all 2007 Toyota Camry's due to a manufacturer defect that can result in serious injury or death. ... .Tried to open sun roof so I could wipe the channels dry and reclose sunroof but the electric components to it stopped working probably due to water damage,so sunroof was now partially opened to the environment. Vehicle is available at my home in my driveway mostly covered by a blue tarp until I take it to the Ford dealer next week on Thursday to get inspected, checked & fixed (I hope). Was initially scared the water leak mixing with electricity of the overhead front lights & dripping behind the dash panel on either side of the front seats might create a spark and catch something on fire, but got fortunate and didn’t happen.Do not know if Ford dealer can reproduce it until they check it next weeThurs, but one of representatives at dealership repair shop mentioned they are aware of a common problem where if the sunroof is not cleaned & checked regularly the drain channels can get clogged and cause water to leak inside the car-my reply “why would Ford built car that leaks through the roof when it rains”, could leak into electrical components inside the car-got no reply. Asked if this was the problem if Ford would fix it and pay for it and reply was we have to check it first to see what causes it and go from there. Told them I don’t use the sunroof and have not opened it, and was told it can still happen.Best friend saw it, have not reported it to police, insurance company will not look at it unless I submit a claim which I haven’t yet.Waiting to hear how much it will cost.No warning signs of problem until water started dripping from front overhead lights.Read more

Paint peeled off hood, initially causing a distraction while driving, while it fluttered, then when departing the hood it stuck to the windshield causing a visibility issue before using the wipers to remove it. Dealer said it's a known issue with this paint color, but said the warranty period was over.
