The bug guard/wind deflector has become detached (AGAIN) on my panoramic sunroof while driving on the freeway. It puts myself & passengers as well as other people driving on the freeway in danger as there is a known issue that the detached bug guard/wind deflector is what causes detaching window panels or shattered sunroof panels. I took my vehicle to the Dealership in Salt Lake City, UT for a r
... epair on the bug guard and was told since it had been repaired before through the original recall, they would not repair it again. (the fix is loctite super glue). I asked about my warranty on the panoramic sunroof and they told me that it only covers the glass and I would need to pay $160.00 for the diagnosis of the detached bug guard. - which can be seen by opening the sunroof. I spoke with the service manager of the dealership as the simple fix of super glue is much less expensive than fixing my glass and he told me it since the repair had already been made on the original recall that they would do nothing if the glass wasn't broken. There was no warning lamp or other symptoms, it just suddenly became detached while driving on the freeway.Read more

After having my car for three weeks, the paint was permanently damaged by an inordinate amount of leaf prints and water stains. Even multiple rounds of polishing didn't fix the issue. On November 14, 2022, I noticed Water leaking in Rear Interior of Cab, Water Leak at Rear Sliding Window. It is clear that it had leaked before as there was several noticeable stains. I took the vehicle up to the Chevrolet dealership in Frisco, Tx to show them. They stated it was a known problem. Another Chevrolet Silverado was next to mine that they said was there for the same reason. [XXX]
... , the service technician told me it was going to be in excess of $4000 to repair. I do not have an extended warranty and the vehicle is outside the standard 3-year warranty. This seems absurd since it is a known issue and clearly a defect in the manufacturing process of the vehicle. There was an NHTSA bulletin issued in August 2020 for this same issue. The bulletin number is 18-NA-383. The vehicle should be recalled and the issue fixed by Chevrolet since is is clearly a defect in the manufacturing process. On Friday, November 11, 2022 while traveling to North Carolina from Ohio, our travel trailer suffered a catastrophic incident. One of the axles broke while driving on I64E, resulting in the tire coming off, damaging the body of the camper, and leaving my husband stranded several hours from home. After waiting for hours, he was not even able to find anyone to tow the vehicle, so he had to make his
... way to a repair shop 23 miles away. Thankfully, no other vehicles were involved, and there were no injuries. This is the second issue we have had with this particular travel trailer. The camper is only 3 years old. In late 2020, a leaf spring broke, rendering the camper unusable. Subsequently, during repair, it was discovered that a second leaf spring was on the verge of breaking, and it was replaced. We have reported the incident to our insurance company, as well as the extended warranty company. I have also contacted Forest River, Inc. and I am awaiting their response.Read more

The frame is rusting out and broke while driving. The frame is almost totally destroyed from rust . The rear started swinging violently but luckily got it stop without crashing. I’ve owned my 2020 Toyota Corolla since April of 2019. Around June of 2022 I noticed a sloshing/ swooshing sound. I didn’t think much of it, but it kept doing/ hearing it. Finally I got tired of hearing the noise, and started to look for where the noise was coming from. I then realized there was water in my rear doors. I didn’t know what to do since once I realized what was happening or how
... it was happening, my warranty period had just passed, since at this point I have owned the vehicle for over 3 years. I kept researching and found the article attached in pdf. I was able to complete the work myself. At this point I am now worried the interior will have rust, since the water would sit there for days/ weeks after it rains. I think this resolves the issue of getting the water to exit the doors, but I don’t believe it resolves how the water is entering the vehicle. I truly believe this car will rust out from the inside, and will be left paying for the bad manufacturing of Toyota, with regards to this vehicle, and possibly a dangerous vehicle issue, as the rust will compromise the integrity of the vehicle.Read more

I was recently told my a service center that the frame has great corrosion and is unsafe to drive. I am now aware of past warranty extensions for this matter but Toyota will offer nothing because for my year, this warranty coverage extension is expired. My year was also not part of the recent class action settlement with Toyota vehicles having rusted frames for later models (2004+). I'm left with
... a decent truck that is useless now. I don't understand why a rusted frame that could crack or break would not constitute a safety recall, which I understand does not expire like their well played warranty extension. It is evident my problem is what has been experienced by many others and just because their extended warranty has expired, does not mean the issue was not caused by their defective manufacturing. It is a matter of timing, and our safety. We had taken the truck for service as a Toyota dealer in late 2008, when the program was active, and they did not mention it and maybe there was no rust. Between 2008 and 2015 when it expired, service was not performed at a dealership and still nobody mentioned it. The truck has lived in NC until 2011 and Ohio (snow) from 2011 - 2018 and now back in NC. We had it at a Toyota dealership in 2019 and nothing mentioned. My husband was driving this truck on the freeway every week day for 50 miles round trip to work until last year. I was driving this truck within the past few weeks and was having service performed when my service center mentioned this and said I should not put any more money into it until a frame evaluation is conducted. I have not yet had the frame inspected by a frame shop or dealership as I attempted to ask Toyota pay for this to no avail. I'm currently awaiting a callback from a supervisor next Monday 11/14 after being denied any assistance by Toyota. It is well documented that trucks can last for several hundred thousand miles. A rusted frame at 167,000+ mi that can break at any time is a major safety concern.Read more

Hi, I received a recall notice in February 2022 (Z11) related to a fire potentially originating in the center of the vehicle underbody with the ignition in the OFF position. A resolution to this defect has just become available which would require the car (Chrysler Pacifica VIN 118706) to be kept overnight by an authorized dealer. My complaint deals with that no deal can provide a rental car that
... is of equal size to accommodate my family of 6 with four kids using car seats. I was told that an car of equal size cannot be provided and would have to pay for a rental out of pocket. Why would the cost not be covered by the manufacture that is attempting to resolve an issue created by them. I have kept my part of the agreement by making my monthly car payments and paying the car off with no issue. It seems to me that the manufacture has no regard to the buyers of their vehicles after the sell is complete. I am looking to have the recall corrected and to have a rental car of equal size provided by the manufacture, since they are holding my car as they fix their mistake. Let's take ownership of our mistake and do the right thing. Thank you for helping with this recallRead more

As per an inspection by my mechanic, the rear sub frame of the vehicle has cracked due to rust corrosion and subsequent metal failure. The car has 78000 miles and has had all maintenance done. The is

According to my research on Mercedes-Benz owner forums I discovered that it is a common issue and that, so far, Mercedes Benz has not issued a recall in the US. According to these forums Mercedes has issued recalls in other countries (although I have not confirmed this point). The estimated cost to replace the sub frame is $3000 including labor and there is an 8 to 10 week backlog for the part due to the number of failures occurring.
