Incident date: Oct 21, 2025
Hello! I have had my 2019 RAM 1500 for 5 years now. I have called RamCare many times trying to get my problems resolved and they just keep saying my truck is not under the recalls. Both problems I have are exactly what the recalls are AND my manufacturing date on my truck shows that they SHOULD be covered, but for some reason the recall isnt attached to my truck VIN. 1: Cracked back window slidi
... ng frame. It is cracked in the EXACT spots thst show on the recall and my back window let's water leak in. 2: Tailgate opens on its own from being misaligned. Both have recall bulletins out that my truck 100% falls under, but for some reason, the recalls aren't attached to my VIN. I have called the dealer a few different times trying to get this resolved and they have still be unable to get them done. The dealership service managers have even told.me that my truck should DEFINITELY be under the two recalls and they dont understand why they aren't. I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars the last couple years getting all kinds of things fixed on my truck AND I actually just dropped my truck off this evening to get new manifolds installed tomorrow! This is the SECOND time that I have had to get this done because the Mopar manifolds are junk and keep cracking! I just don't understand why RamCare can't just attached my VIN to the recalls so I can get them fixed like they should. The dealrrship even said they should! I have had Chrysler/Mopar vehicles for almost 20 years now!!! I have always been a very loyal customer. I just don't understand. I don't think it is fair at all.Read more

After learning of the recall for the lift gate module because of water intrusions of multiple points. The wiring harness to the lift gate module was serverly corroded and had to be replaced. The original fix, without the corrosion on the harness, was the place a piece of plastic over the module. That recall and fix did nothing to address the issues of multiple points of water intrusions. From body
... seems, the seal around the hatch, and around the tail light(s). There is more than one harness, and more than one module in the tire well. The multiple water leaks, that can and have affected an electrical component the was deemed as being a potential to start a fire, and none of the others in there are. There needs to be a recall on the water leaks, from their poor design! I have saw first hand how badly the harness they HAD to replace, along with the lift gate module. Because of the very seriousness of the corrosion. Where they not only replaced both of them, but also had to relocate the lift gate module, because of the evidence of the amount on water that has been entering the cargo, and wheel well areas! À 11 year old vehicle, from the information I have read up on, many with this same production years are also having the issues of water intrusions! Hold them responsible, instead of letting them cut corners of just trying to put a umbrella over there recall! I don't have pictures now, or when I took it to the dealership originally for the recall. But I am willing to take pictures, as I'm still in the process of disassembly the interior to try and pin point all the water intrusions! The dealership I took it to for the recall work, said they are "not aware of any water intrusions on this vehicle". That's a big problem!!Read more

We purchased a 2025 Toyota Sienna Woodland Edition in July 2025. On October 7, 2025 we were notified that vehicle is subject to a safety recall [NHSTA Recall No. 25V-668, Toyota Recall No. 25TA12 (Interim Notice 25TB12)] due to improperly welded seat rails. The recall states: "The subject vehicles contain second-row seats that are mounted on seat rails that may have been improperly welded. If
... these seats are occupied during certain high-speed collisions, the seat may lose structural integrity, increasing the risk of injury. All known owners of the subject vehicles will be notified to return their vehicles to a Toyota dealer. For all involved vehicles, the dealer will replace the second-row seat rails with rails that have proper welding, free of charge. For all involved vehicles, Toyota will notify customers by early December 2025." Following the recall notice, we returned our Toyota Sienna to the dealer due to the safety risk of putting our children (or any passenger) in the second row seats and we are currently driving a rental car. Toyota has not yet indicated a solution for this recall and has not provided a remedy as originally stated by December 2026. Given that it is now February 20, 2026 and our vehicle has been out of service for it's intended purpose for over 120 days without a remedy, we would like to officially log a complaint with the NHSTA.Read more

My vehicle suddenly developed electrical problems and would not start. Before it completely failed, I began seeing warning lights on the dashboard, including a PARK warning and an engine oil light. The vehicle had been operating normally earlier that day, but later became totally unresponsive. The doors would not unlock electronically and the car would not start. This happened after a period of h
... eavy rain. When the vehicle was inspected by a Honda dealership, they found signs of long-term water intrusion and corrosion affecting electrical components and wiring. I later learned that the vehicle had previously been repaired for water intrusion through the rear hatch/tailgate area, which may have allowed moisture into the vehicle over time. The car is now inoperable. This raises safety concerns because electrical failures like this can lead to sudden loss of reliability, inability to start the vehicle when needed, or potential failure while driving. The issue has been confirmed by a dealership service department, and the vehicle remains unusable. I am concerned that water may be entering through the tailgate or rear hatch area and damaging electrical systems. I have also seen similar complaints involving water intrusion and electrical failures in this model.Read more

I am reporting a serious highway safety defect involving an enclosed cargo trailer used in normal commercial highway operation. The trailer was purchased on 7/27/2022. On 2/16/2023, while traveling approximately 65 mph on the New York State Thruway, the wheel and hub assembly detached from the axle during highway travel. The trailer lost a wheel at highway speed, creating an immediate risk of los
... s of control, crash, and roadway hazard to surrounding motorists. The axle required full replacement. The trailer was not returned to service until 8/4/2023. In addition to the axle failure, the trailer experienced repeated structural weld failures. Rear ramp door welds required repair on 1/7/2023 and again on 9/24/2023. On 7/16/2024, the trailer experienced catastrophic structural failure, including separation of the side wall from the floor and failure of structural welds. The trailer became unsafe for continued highway use. The manufacturer supplied a replacement trailer, which was ready on 1/31/2025 and picked up on 3/23/2025. The replacement trailer also developed early structural failures within months of normal use, including: Man door hinge failure (May 2025) Ramp door upper and lower weld failures (January 2026) Ramp spring assist weld failures (January 2026) Side wall upper and lower structural separation (February 2026) The repeated occurrence of similar structural failures across two separate trailers suggests a potential manufacturing or design defect rather than isolated damage or misuse. These failures compromise the structural integrity of the trailer body and cargo containment during highway travel and present a significant safety risk to the public, including risk of cargo release, structural collapse, or crash hazard. I am submitting this complaint so that this recurring structural and axle defect can be reviewed for investigation to prevent similar dangerous failures involving trailers of this type. #supplied-1st unit [XXX] -2nd unit INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATIORead more

Component/System: Windshield/visibility system and possible body sealing or A-pillar water intrusion affecting interior and defrost performance. Within months of purchase, the vehicle began experiencing water intrusion inside the cabin, which h
... as led to persistent interior moisture, fogging, and mildew odor despite multiple repair attempts over the past year. A significant safety concern occurs while driving: the interior of the windshield can fog or condensate suddenly and heavily enough to reduce forward visibility. When this happens, I must slow down and consider pulling over until visibility clears. The condition typically resolves within approximately 1–2 minutes but has occurred repeatedly during normal driving. Loss of clear windshield visibility while the vehicle is in motion creates a potential driving hazard for myself, my child passenger, and other motorists. Reproduction/confirmation: The condition has been reported to and evaluated by an authorized Jeep dealership during multiple service visits. Repairs have been attempted, including extensive interior disassembly to locate a water leak, but the problem has persisted. Inspection by manufacturer or others: The dealership and Stellantis (manufacturer) have been involved through warranty repair attempts and case review. An independent evaluation is being pursued to determine the root cause. Warning lamps or prior symptoms: No warning lamps or electronic messages appeared prior to the visibility impairment. Symptoms include interior moisture accumulation, mildew odor, and intermittent heavy windshield condensation while driving.Read more

... . Although the vehicle responds to unlock commands from the key fob, keypad, and interior door controls with normal audible confirmation, the driver door frequently remains unable to open. Failure behavior includes: •The driver door cannot be opened from inside the vehicle, preventing occupant exit. •The door also cannot be opened from the outside during these events. •An occupant became trapped inside and had to crawl across the vehicle and exit through the passenger side. •The vertical lock indicator moves between locked and unlocked positions, but the latch does not release. •The electronic systems appear functional, yet the mechanical latch does not respond. •Using the physical key can sometimes force the lock cylinder past a mechanical click point, temporarily allowing the door to open; however, this places the mechanism into abnormal states where the door may remain permanently unlocked or, when turned in the opposite direction, cannot be opened at all regardless of unlock attempts. •All other vehicle doors operate normally. Video evidence documenting the failure is available. This condition presents a serious safety concern because occupants could become trapped inside the vehicle during an emergency or after a crash, delaying rescue. The latch mechanism is a critical safety component that consumers cannot reasonably inspect, predict, or maintain. Given the life-safety implications of a door that cannot be opened from either side, this issue warrants investigation for potential defect trends.Read more

Many complaints have been filed with the NHTSA see campaign numbers 11693537, 11691685, 11681799, 11648046, 11630017. The fix involves removing the left front tire, removing the wheel well trim and and under fender skirting (25+ torx head screws), locating and opening cable junction box in the engine compartment from under the wheel well and pulling the cable with pliers to open the hood. The broken cable has to be removed by removing two interior panels inside the car cabin and pulling cable and grommet out. Then fishing replacement cable back through firewall into channel and up to the cable junction box. This is a 2-3 hour process. Cost is in excess of $500-700 at most dealers. The replacement cable is of the same design, so likely to also fail at some point. There should not be so many failures of a part that is only used 3-5 times per year.Read more

The roof of my car between the sunroof and the windshield (called panoramic sunroof) shattered as I was driving down the highway. It was about 10:00 pm on a weeknight and there were no cars within sight distance in front of me. When it happened it sounded like a gun shot going off at point blank range and I immediately pulled over and checked for bullet holes. Since it was dark I could not see any
... damage. Today I took the car and had a small chip fixed in my windshield down by the windshield wipers and the service tech pointed out to me that the roof was shattered. He told me that this happens a lot with this vehicle. So I got online and searched and found a lot of vehicles have reported the exact problem. Down to the sounds of gunshots. So I stopped at my local Hyundai dealership and recorded the conversation. He told me that theres no recalls on this car and It probably shattered by a rock or debris. I told him that when this happened it was late night and no cars within sight in front of me. He didn’t even come out and look at the damage. He said to call my insurance company and I said that is a manufacturer defect and I shouldn’t have to pay for their mistake. When I searched for this on the internet people stated that the dealerships will deny this manufacturer defect and that’s exactly what they said to me. My main concern is that this defect is documented by many vehicle owners from their 2020 vehicles and their Is a recall out for this problem but it stops at 2016 models. In this recall the shattered piece is replaced and there is actually compensation given for people getting scared or dealing with stress dealing with thinking they are getting shot at. I don’t care about any of that. I just want the issue fixed because I did not cause the issue, the manufacturer did. Reason being is that the exact thing is happening to numerous people across the Country. Thank you for your time.Read more

I am submitting this formal safety defect complaint regarding a serious and life-threatening incident involving my 2020 Infiniti QX60. This resulted in an immediate and complete loss of forward visibility while the vehicle was in motion. The hood had b

This event appeared to involve a total failure of both the primary hood latch and the secondary safety latch system, which are specifically designed to prevent this type of occurrence. The incident created an extremely dangerous situation with a high risk of a catastrophic collision, serious injury, or death to myself and other motorists. I was fortunate to maintain control of the vehicle and safely slow down without a crash. This was a near-miss catastrophic event caused by a critical safety system failure. A hood opening at highway speed creates total loss of visibility and represents a severe hazard to roadway safety. While driving the Kia on the highway (in the passing lane on Route 93, Boston, MA), the hood of the car flew open and shattered the windshield. Prior to getting into the vehicle, there was no notification, warning light/display, that alerted to the hood or anything else not being 'closed', no rattling of the hood either. The hood blocked my entire vision with the exception of a small area below,
... where I miraculous got over to the breakdown lane without causing any accident. When I got out of the car, the hood was bent and the second latch was loose. It did not hold its shape. Called the police and the insurance company, the car was deemed a total loss. This incident occurred on January 31, 2026 at 10:05AM. The conditions were dry and sunny. The state trooper said that this incident could have had serious safety consequences to the driver and others since no one expects a hood to fly open, block visibility...this highway is a busy road and could have impacted several other vehicles on the road. We no warning lamps/message- this was traumatic- this put the safety of the driver and the public at great risk.Read more

I am reporting a recurring front bumper cracking and separation issue on my Lexus IS 500. A crack developed at the front bumper seam directly adjacent to the passenger-side headlight assembly. The crack originates at the bumper mounting/retention area near the headlamp and appears to be stress-related rather than impact-related. There is a known Lexus Technical Service Bulletin addressing front
... bumper sag and improper retention on this model. Multiple other Lexus IS 500 owners have reported similar cracking and separation in the exact same location, including vehicles that have not been modified or involved in collisions. My concern is that: The crack appears at a structural mounting point of the bumper. Continued stress or separation may compromise bumper retention. Progressive separation could create risk of partial bumper detachment at highway speeds. The issue occurs adjacent to the headlight assembly, raising potential concern for lighting alignment or mounting stability if the condition worsens. This does not appear to be isolated cosmetic damage but rather a recurring stress point at the bumper mounting seam. If the bumper retention system is insufficient or prone to stress cracking, this could pose a potential roadway hazard if separation increases while driving. Given that Lexus has issued a Technical Service Bulletin regarding bumper sag/retention on this model, I am requesting that NHTSA review whether the front bumper attachment design presents a broader safety concern.Read more
