My car has 122,760 miles and has had multiple fuses blow repeatedly. In the last 2wks. Today is 06-21-2023 I can change a fuse and it will blow within 15miles. Also the trim going around my windshield has disintegrated. It literally crumbled into pieces when I touched it. I noticed this almost 3 yrs ago.

At around 66,000, I opened the driver's side door and noticed a popping sound when the door opened wide. I investigated a bit and noticed the door welds were cracked. The workaround was to only open the driver's side door slightly when entering and exiting. Then the driver's side window began behaving erratically. It could lower slightly but then may roll back up or roll all the way down without h
... uman intervention. Then, if it was lowered, you may have to help guide the window back up to the top using the button and pulling the window upward. I do not know if this issue affects the integrity of the door, and if it is at risk of becoming dislodged. I took it to Ford who wanted to charge me to replace the door, which I have not yet done. There is a communication number and an NHTSA ID number, but so far Ford is not doing the right thing by having a recall for this defective engineering and safety issue. As I was driving the car today, I had a car ahead of me at a full stop, so in order to slow down the car I lifted my foot off the acceleration pedal. However, instead of slowing down it sped up. My car has regenerative breaking (and it was turn on) which usually applies break when the pressure is lifted from acceleration pedal. However in this instant my car started speeding up. I then applied pre

On Sunday, 6/18/2023, a little after 9pm, I was STOPPED at a traffic light outside the Shell station at 600 S Michigan St, Seattle, WA. Whilst waiting for the traffic light to turn green, the sunroof exploded from the inside out! (Traffic camera should confirm the sudden hole in my sunroof) It was an EXTREMELY loud bang and initially I thought someone threw a large rock at my cars' window. Howeve
... r, I didn't see anyone on the street. My second thought was that I was being shot at - and quickly made the right turn onto 6th Ave. S. I then got out because I was confused that I could hear glass pieces. Once I got out of the car I could see that the sunroof had exploded outward! Thankfully I had the shade above my head closed, otherwise I would have been showered in EXTREMELY sharp glass bits. WEATHER: it was in between rain showers. The road was dry. The temperature was normal cool weather; maybe 65F. It was overcast. WARNING INDICATORS: There were no warning indications prior to the explosion. The car was running great. Service of the car was up-to-date! OTHER INFO: I had the car serviced January 4th ~ 5th; EVERYTHING that BMW suggested, I agreed to! To the tune of over $5000! SAFETY: Just a moment before the sunroof exploded, I was travelling on I5 - had it happened on the freeway, the sunroof might have been pulled out into traffic behind me. It would have caused a serious accident, especially if a Motorbike was behind me. Thankfully I was stopped and other drivers were not affected.Read more

The driver's inside door handle broke off during routine use. This could pose an egress hazard. No accident happened; the handle broke while the vehicle was parked. The power sliding rear door on the driver side is stuck in a locked position for 4-5 days now. This has happened previously to our power sliding rear door on the passenger side as well (before the current extended warranty) and we corrected that issue on our own by replacing the door actuator. Now that it has happened again and there is a warranty on it, I took it to the dealership and they are
... telling me it is not the actuator that is broken but the door rod and latch and quoted $1600 to fix the problem. I personally think this is a deceptive practice to get out of replacing the actuator under the warranty, but I am not a mechanic. It sure is suspicious though seeing as the rod and latch are linked to the actuator. This is very dangerous and could cost lives if the vehicle was full of passengers who needed to exit quickly and the door was jammed shut. The fact that it is so closely related to the actuator that already has an extended warranty is a cause for concern.Read more

First, the plastic around wheel wells began to come out, then other parts of underneath near the skid area at the front of car begin to drag. Eventually a lot of the plastic pulled away underneath the car taking some of the front bumper. Then the car ran hot and had zero fluid in the radiator even though I regularly have oil changed and fluids topped off. Now the air conditioner throws out hot air
... when it on. I’ve regularly had oil changed. After only 3500 miles of having oil changed my oil light would come and car stalls when I’m turning. This could get me hit and killed. I bought car from car max and took it back as I have Extended Warranty that I’m paying for. They told me I had to have an appointment nearly a month out. I told them car needed to be seen now, that engine is probably going to go. CarMax refused to see my car and I now have an appointment at the Huyandi dealership . CarMax stated that Hyundai would replace my engine for free. I would like to state that I used car fax and found out car was a rental car and driven in three states. Also according to the vin number the oil in my Hyundai was changed for the first time At 18,000 miles. I still owe three years and I’m not going to have a car because it may blow the engine before I can get it into dealership. I NEVER would have bought the car had I known it was a rental, but CarMax kept telling me it was a one car owner. The car had 36,000 miles on it and I should have known. Yes, it was a one car owner by the Car rental agency and driven by hundreds of people, who didn’t care because it was a rental. Also, the check engine light is on and I can’t get car inspected or renew my tag. I had to replace calipers on both sides of car and I’ve had to have it aligned three times. It also makes a thumping sound on right front tire while I’m driving it. Feels very unsafe. Replaced brakes tires and it still makes noise. I would like to bring to your attention two safety concerns regarding the 2016 Ford F150 model, specifically related to the braking system and the panoramic roof hardware. I have experienced these issues which may pose potential risks and compromise the safety and functionality of the vehicle. Brakes Dragging or Caliper Seizing: Brakes on my 2016 Ford F150, which have experienced dragging brake
... s or caliper seizing. This issue can lead to premature wear of brake components and a decrease in stopping efficiency, compromising the vehicle's ability to come to a complete and timely stop. Such a condition poses a significant safety hazard, especially during emergency braking situations or when driving downhill. Panoramic Roof Hardware Made of Plastic: Another safety concern I have identified involves the panoramic roof hardware in the 2016 Ford F150. The hardware used in the construction of the roof assembly includes plastic pieces that may become dislodged and fall into the track, causing the roof to become stuck in a partially open or closed position. This malfunction could result in the inability to fully close the roof, leading to potential exposure to weather elements or reduced visibility while driving. All of these things the Ford Motor Company is aware of.Read more

The lower front clip/air dam came off the vehicle at highway speeds(75mph) on a 2 lane highway. Highway 180 in west Texas east of Seminole, TX. A flat front face semi-truck(75mph I am guessing, but it is known the trucks exceed that speed regularly in that area.) traveling in the opposite direction. I was completing the merge to the left as a passing lane section of the highway was ending. As we p
... assed, just a double yellow strip separating the vehicles, the wind force from the truck caused the front left(drivers side) part of the air damn to detach. The air dam was pulled under the vehicle and the entire part was ripped off the highlander and pulled under. Running over the part caused me to almost lose control of the vehicle. Luckily there was no one directly behind me or it could have been worse. If the part had been caught up in the drive train, I would have lost complete control at the 75mph speed. The dealer is denying my story and said I must of hit something. There are zero front impact marks on the air dam or any other part of my vehicle. The weather conditions were clear. About 3:30PM on a Friday. The highway was newly paved so there were no potholes or other road conditions. The front left part of the air dam is held in place by 2 plastic push pins. My theory is the wind force between the 2 vehicles passing at 75-80 mph was sufficient to cause the air dam to to be deflected enough to hit the highway. I do not know the physics of the air forces, but I am guessing it was a combined 130 mph wind gust that was generated.Read more
