First of all i drive a 2016 Ford Fusion. Two years ago as i was leaving work my back driver's side door swung open and i thought i forgot to shut it. As i went to attempt to shut it it wouldnt close. My boyfriend had to meet me at work and tie it closed with rope that he had. I contacted Ford and they said they would fix it and charged me almost $500. Now just last week as i get into my passenger
... side of my car, my boyfriend was driving, as i went to shut the door the SAME THING happened! It would not close! What if that door lock had broken as we were driving?? I could of fallen out of the car if i didnt have my seatbelt on?? So i do some research online and go back to Ford in Delray Beach Florida. I see that there has been recalls with this EXACT problem on certain makes and models of Fords! I tell them.that and show the manager and he tells me that MY car vin is not under the recalls! So i tell him than there must be a mistake and my car is supposed to be under that recall and why did I have to pay almost $500 to fix the first door lock that broke?? He looked at me and acted as if he could care less! That is why i am writing you.Read more

My 2008 Honda RIdgeline has a frame rusted to the point where it has been deemed unsafe to drive by my local Honda dealership and Honda USA. My 2008 Honda Ridgeline is PA titled and was involved in recall 22V-430 (NHTSA recall number) / 22-021 (Honda recall number). I took my truck into Wright Honda (Uniontown, PA) on June 2nd, 2023 for the 2006-2014 Ridgeline Rear Frame Repair Safety Recall. Th
... e truck is available for inspection, and Honda USA has several pictures of the frame problems that they evaluated. When Wright Honda performed the recall work, they informed me that the frame rust is so severe that it is not safe to drive and it will not pass inspection; they recommended that I tow it home (at my expense, which is what I had to do). I asked them if my truck might be considered for a buyback. They told me that Honda USA did request more pictures and that someone from Honda USA would be in touch with me. Basically, after speaking to a case manager and supervisor, Honda USA told me that the frame corrosion is my responsibility because they performed their recall. The Honda USA technician Eric (4605592) agreed that the frame rust is so bad that is should not be driven on a road. So although multiple parties at Honda agree that my frame rust is so severe that I can no longer drive the truck, and there is a recall regarding frame rust on my Ridgeline, Honda refuses to take responsibility and either replace the frame or buy it back. The recall was to prevent the gas tank from falling off and catching fire. I think it is equally important for Honda to take care of frames that may break while driving, killing everyone in the truck, when it is known that the frame corrosion is already a problem because of a Honda quality control issue.Read more

I drove my 2015 Lincoln MKZ in to my driveway which is not steep grade and the front bumper hit the drive way and ripped the bumper. This car has very low front end. I called Lincoln up and complained about this low bumper problem. Lincoln customer service just blew me off. They acted like I was first person ever to complain. When I told them that You Tube Video has this problem listed they i
... gnored me. This would not be a big deal if the bumper was 2 piece and all that had to be replaced was a bumper guard but the replacemrnt bumper covers the whole front end. Replacement bumper runs between $500 - $700. Labor to replace bumper runs from $500 - $1000 depending on shop. This is outrageous. Lincoln knew of this problem for years and did nothing to fix the problem. The least Lincoln should do is replace the bumper at no charge and provide me with discounted installation charge. What can I do? I covered the crack with tape so it would not spread but this looks terrible!Read more

The check arm door makes a strong creaking/cracking sound as the door is opened and closed. This is believed to be due to cracked spot welds in the check arm assembly. It creates an inability to roll down the window all day and I fear further damage if this is unable to be fixed through a recall.

In August 2022 I noticed that the door to our Airstream trailer was somewhat loose on its hinges and sagged slightly when opened. Inspection revealed that the hinges were not tight against the door frame. The door has two hinges that appear to be machined aluminum. Each hinge is attached to the exterior of the door frame with two bolts. The hinge attachments to the door itself appear to be sec
... ure. I attempted to tighten the bolts with a screwdriver, but the bolts would not tighten, as though stripped. I removed one of the bolts to attempt to diagnose what was happening, and the entire door fell off the trailer (completely separated from the trailer). Fortunately we were parked at the time, and the door had not separated while driving. I secured the door inside the trailer, covered the door opening with a tarp secured by duct tape, and drove home. I investigated the problem by partially removing the interior aluminum skin around the door frame and discovered that each bolt was secured inside the wall of the trailer by a single hex nut with an attached star washer. These nuts had come free from the screws, leaving the door secured only by friction of the bolts on the hinge bolt holes and by the door latch, which is on the forward-facing edge of the door. The door frame is a curved aluminum channel. Due to the design of the door and the hinges, the star washer for the nuts that secure the hinge bolts do not have a flat surface to bite into. As can be seen, they easily come loose. The hinge attachment appears to me to use a flawed and potentially dangerous design, as the bolts cannot be inspected or properly tightened without opening the interior wall of the trailer. The risk is that the door may become detached while driving, which would pose a serious hazard to other vehicles on the roadway.Read more

My issue is with the liftgate on all Acura models including my own RDX. I was sitting on the edge of the van with the liftgate fully opened taking off my spikes after golfing. I inadvertantly triggered the fob in my pocket when i leaned forward causing the liftgate to close. At first i did not realize it was closing on me ,but jumped up and it caught me on my upper back. I avoided serious injury.
... Brought it to the dealership and it appears to be common to all makes of acura with liftgates. Serious pressure has to be put on the liftgate in order for it to stop . Page 177 of my manual states the if the liftgate detects resistance it will reverse itself. We tested it at the dealership and a great amount of pressure has to be used for it to stop and reverse. This is a serious defect and needs correction before someone gets seriously injured. The service advisor almost hurt her arm trying to get the liftgate to stop . It is not only my vehicle. the sensors do not react appropriately. I have had two Nissan Murano's before purchasing this vehicle and as soon as you got in the way of the liftgate as it closed it stopped and reversed itself. The frame of this vehicle has deteriorated to the point of becoming a safety hazard. On or around 7/02/2022, while on a trip out to the black hills, during a stop I noticed a crack had formed in the side wall of the Keystone coach. Camping World has not been able to work with the warranty company Portfolio on the issue, and Keystone has stated that they will not participated because the coach was manufactured 3 months before they issued the KSB. Keystone tried to hide the deficiency by adding in relief cuts into this model, which is also described in the KSB. Our Kia Sedona had the cooling fan harness negative Cable melt and caused making our engine overheat. When we took our vehicle to get serviced they told us that the cooling fan harness melted and then it's a common problem with kias. They fixed the pigtail cooling fan harness but are cooling fan does not turn on anymore and they said that it is now an electrical issue and this was from a Kia deale

They recently did a recall on sliding doors because they weren't shutting all the way and it worked for exactly one day after the recall and now it's back to not shutting and making a really loud noise when it attempts to shut. All four doors retain water from an issue with wax/debris/substance that blocks the door drain holes and restricts water from draining properly. There is a TSB on this but it is not a recall level. I am told that standing water in a vehicle is not an issue, however I fail to understand how standing water would not rot away the doors as well as breed mold/bacteria. When calling the national hotli
... ne they are aware of the issue but since it is not a recall they would not honor covering the cost because it falls outside the standard warranty. For vehicles it affected (2019) the time the TSB was updated would fall outside the warranty time frame therefore making it that they would not need to cover the cost. There is nothing that could be done to prevent this since it is a defect with manufacturing and thus no warnings except when the car retains too much water it starts to pour out of the doors.Read more
