We noticed on 6/24/2023 a small crack and few other minor cracks and a paint chip appeared out of nowhere on the fiber-glass/composite hard roof top at the driver side rear edge above the gas tank of my Jeep Wrangler 2023 that I bought from your dealership. My vehicle details are as follows: Make: Jeep Model Wrangler Sahara 4X4e Year
... : 2023 Color: White VIN #: [XXX] Purchase Date: 05-14-2023 Condition: Brand New I have consulted with AAA insurance and the “Classic Collision of Chatsworth” and Platinum Plus Warranty Plan and the insurance services and they all say that this particular crack and paint chip on the vehicle is not from any impact but mainly due to the manufacturing defect where the fiberglass is uneven (or air bubble in it) and defective, screws tightened too much and also clearly has tool marks and signs of excessive use of force that caused a big crack on the edge from inside and that is now propagating and spreading and showing paint chip and cracks on the outside of the removable rooftop/camper above the gas tank. This is the first time I opened the back trunk and saw this. Filed a manufacturer warranty claim at the dealership on 6/26/2023. Jeep denied the claim. I find this situation unacceptable as the fiberglass hard-top is cracking and falling apart and the crack is widening as we drive the vehicle. I need help as both the dealership and the manufacturer are not fixing the manufacturing defect and are using delaying tactics. This is a fully electric vehicle and upon arriving at a charger, the charging port door on the car would not open. It is a manual door - normally just push on the outside of the door and it pops opens. I was then advised there was no way to open the charging door without bringing it to the dealer. This left me, a single female on a road trip with my child 4 hours from home, stuck in a parking lot as darkness was approaching unable to charge my perfectly functioning vehicle. A quick google search revealed this is a known issue to BMW and many have been replaced under warranty, although no recall has been issued. The trunk release mechanisms of my Honda Accord EXL coupe failed, both manual cable and electrical trunk release. My trunk does NOT open and when I need to access my spare tire in the trunk - I will NOT be able to. A real danger since I live in Canyon Country and often phone reception is poor. The only Honda Model that does NOT have any external nor internal emergency trunk release option. There i
... s no "Valet" button, no decklid access, no external hidden key lock nothing that can release my trunk so I can gain access to my spare tire. Federal Law 49CFR571.401 mandates an emergency internal trunk release. In this Honda Model the ONLY way to get into the trunk from inside is by unlocking and pulling down back seats to access the trunk. BUT the ONLY way to unlock back seats is by pulling a cable that unlocks them which is INSIDE THE TRUNK! So the safety design flaws in the Honda Accord EXL coupe are: there is no emergency access to release the trunk to gain access to the spare tire AND there is no emergency way to unlock back seats to gain access to the trunk since the only way to unlock back seats is IN THE TRUNK. A Mechanical Engineer needed to dismantled the seats to get into the trunk and he tried to release the truck with the Emergency Trunk Release but it is obvious that the latch has failed. if there was ever a person stuck in the trunk that person would NOT be able to free themselves. I do have a video showing the Emergency Trunk Release not working if you like to see it but i can not upload it. I lost my job during the Pandemic and my house has major damage from the massive amount of rain Los Angeles received. I am unable to afford to have a Honda Dealership tell me what I already have on video showing that the Emergency Trunk Release has FAILED and I am in potential danger every time I drive. I asked Honda to fix trunk release latch and expressed the dangerous Coupe Design Flaws but they will not fix the safety problem unless Honda Dealership gets involved.Read more
