Our 2 year old son broke his left tibia after the falcon door automatically closed on his left foot/leg and it got caught between the door and his car seat. We believe he had his leg dangling off the car seat when we closed the door from the front command station. The door sensor did not stop or give any warning that there was anything in the way. He was seen in the emergency department after the

The car/door is available for inspection upon request. We have not contacted Tesla yet about this but will be calling them very soon. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone yet since the incident. There were no warnings prior to the incident occurring.Read more

As noted on the IIHS.org website, 2022 and 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee's built prior to April 2023 experienced a fuel tank rupture in the side impact test conducted by IIHS. Stellantis redesigned the underbody structure to correct this issue. This redesign was put in place on vehicles assembled after March 2023. IIHS originally tested a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee in October 2022 and identified the fuel
... tank rupture during the side impact test. However, IIHS did not post this information on their website until almost a year later when tests of the redesigned vehicle were performed, and the fuel tank leak issue had been corrected. Hence, 2022 and 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee’s built prior to April 2023 have a significant safety concern that IIHS did not inform the public about in a reasonable time frame and more importantly, Stellantis is aware of but has not issued a recall to correct the issue on vehicles that were built prior to the redesign. Please review the side crash results on IIHS paying attention to the 2022 test where the fuel tank ruptured. Brings back memories of the infamous Ford Pinto gas tank design. I am asking for NHTSA to assist in requiring Stellantis to issue a recall on vehicles built prior to the redesign to either modify the vehicle to address the fuel tank rupture concern, or if that is not possible buy back the vehicles. Please contact me by e-mail [XXX] ) of cell [XXX] if you require more information to pursue this issue. Thank you. Rear passenger door will not open without manually adjusting the internal door handle components with a screwdriver (or similar tool). This poses a huge safety risk, trapping a passenger in the vehicle. I am in the process of having the door repaired, but this issue has been recalled on other models and the cost of repair should not be on the consumer, since it is a known defect.

Recall Issue with Vehicle Door Latch and Delays in Repair - NHTSA Recall Number 21V376 To whom it may concern, I am writing to report a significant safety concern regarding my vehicle. Specifically, the driver's door latch is malfunctioning and no longer securely locks the door, rendering the vehicle undriveable. This issue directly aligns with the advanced recall notice identified as NHTSA Reca
... ll Number21V376 and Manufacturer Recall Number 21S24. To seek a resolution, I reached out to local Ford dealerships, but initially faced challenges in even having a conversation about potential recalls. Fortunately, Future Ford of Roseville accepted to inspect my vehicle and I delivered it to their facility on August 23rd, 2023. One of their service managers indicated that they should be able to address the problem, especially since my car exhibits the symptoms detailed in the recall notice. However, it's September 1st now, and my vehicle remains in their possession with little to no updates. The only communication I received was a work order summary. Troublingly, this document states: "FORD DECLINED AUTHORIZATION TO REPAIR AT THIS TIME" regarding the advanced recall. Attempts to discuss this update with the service manager, [XXX] , have been unproductive. She briefly left a voicemail without pertinent details and despite promising a follow-up call, failed to do so. Furthermore, I reached out to Ford corporate for clarity but to no avail. I've consistently received vague answers, with most indicating a lack of direction from Ford. This is both alarming and frustrating. I am at a loss as to why the dealership can't take an interim measure, such as replacing the defective door latch—which has been acknowledged to degrade over time—to temporarily remedy the situation. This could serve as a temporary solution until an official fix is determined. Attached is the aforementioned work order summary for your reference. The concern is more of a cosmetic issue than mechanical. The paint or primer has a defect which is causing my vehicle to peel from the paint throughout the panels. The saga continues with this particular vehicle, which Goose Creek Mitsubishi failed to disclose had experienced prior accidents, major parts damages, repairs, & replacements. ... er, which became fully detached, while in transit. On the way, to & from my wife's surgery, we passed through some uneven pavement sections, along a construction zone, between Barnwell, SC & Aiken, SC, on August 11. As we reached my son's school & entered the parking lot, I began to hear sounds from the front end of the vehicle. By the time we pulled into a parking spot, all but one corner of the bumper had become detached & was lying on the ground. I didn't have the resources, on hand, to properly address the collapsed bumper. Thankfully, my own father came to our rescue. We used bungee cords, straps, & zip ties, in order to secure the front bumper in place. Due to the bumper being offset & the cords/strap crossing over the top edges of the bumper assembly & engine frame, I've been unable to fully secure the hood. The vehicle has been rendered unsafe for highway driving. My mechanic & I have addressed that very bumper, through previous communications, directly to the dealership, through a prior BBB complaint process, & a currently open, SC Consumer Affairs complaint. It's obviously a replacement bumper, attached to a compromised frame. We have shared photos, which revealed breakage & separation, beneath the hood lid, at the very top edges, where the front bumper attachments meet up with the engine frame. There's visible breakage, along the seam of that top edge & at the adjacent passenger side corner. The vehicle was sold to me, in disrepair, & has quickly fallen into further disrepair. Therefore, I've been forced to park the car & wait for proper resolution. Thank YouRead more
