The door check arm on the driver's side door weld broke. Before it happened, it would make a noise when closing before it broke. The dealer has confirmed it and wants to replace the whole door. I would be required to pay for it plus the painting of the door. I have found that this problem has happened before. This issue is a safety problem and should be a recall. There was no accident. Rear subframe corrosion and failure. Based on my queries this apparently a common issue. I am adding my report to add weight to this common issue. Vehicle is approximately 13 years old, is in good condition, and has not suffered any accidents affecting the rear subframe. Overall only minimal rust or corrosion is found during a visual inspection while on a lift. This vehicle has passed annual
... inspections as required by Virginia state law. The rear subframe has rusted from the inside. This corrosion was not visible from the outside, which is why it was not found in the annual inspections. Due only to this internal corrosion, the left-hand (driver) side of the rear subframe has broken loose where the rear wheel's control arm is attached. This removes one of the rear wheel's primary attachment points, making the vehicle unsafe to drive.Read more

I’m submitting this on behalf of my daughter before someone gets hurt or killed. My daughter purchased a ford escape in 2018. Over years the driver rear door has gotten impossible to open. You have to pull so hard that sometimes the door is rip from your hand and snaps shut. Other times you can pull so hard that it rips the door panel off. So, she stop using that door. She then had a child
... and decided to put the car seat on the rear passenger side due to the door. Now that I know about her problem and she’s expecting a second child. Well, do I need to say more. She will need to use both side for car seats. If theres an accident and they can’t get the babies out, god forbid. The car hasn’t been in an accident and has been cared for properly with all maintenance done as scheduled. Please help. The dates and such don’t apply and there’s no N/A available. Since I’ve learned of her issue I’ve researched and saw there were recalls on door hinges but not for her year. Any help would be great.Read more

Left and right wheel well liners , front undertray and rear undertray came off while driving at slow speed on a street that had about 8 inches of water during heavy rain. I took the car to the Subaru dealer to get fixed under the guarantee as the car was just 6 months old and 7,553 miles but the dealer said they could not apply the guarantee on this situation because it was consider and act of na
... ture. However , a car that is marketed as an SUV with a 8.3 inches of ground clearance and cannot handle a low speed pass over slightly deep water, shows that the car is not performing as it should. I am sure that day a lot of other cars were on the road and this didnt happen to them . I have a video of that day while driving and another car was also on the same road. I really question the quality of those parts and maybe it should be looked into in case that this has happen to a lot of other Solterra and BZ4Z ( which shares the same platform with the Solterra. The other issue is that according to the Subaru dealer, the replacement parts are not available they don't know when they will become available , and I have read that driving the car without those liners it can damage other components on the car due to debris that can be thrown by the tire against the unprotected critical parts.Read more

I received a letter from Mercedes-Benz USA LLC located at 1 Mercedes-Benz drive Sandy springs Georgia 30328 phone number 800-367-6372. This letter advised me of the extension of warranty coverage on the rear subframe of my vehicle to 20 years with unlimited mileage cover. I call my local Mercedes dealership where I purchased the vehicle to inquire about the severity of this problem. I specifically
... inquired as to whether this presented a safety concern or not. I was advised that the rear sub frame is the mechanism that holds the rear end of the car to the frame which if deteriorated enough would cause the rear end to separate from the frame resulting in problems with maneuvering the vehicle. Once I was advised of this I requested an appointment to go in and have the rear sub frame inspected to see exactly where the deterioration stands on this vehicle. In my opinion this is a definite safety concern and should have been classified as a recall rather than just a warranty extension. I was granted an appointment to have my subframe inspected tomorrow afternoon for which I specifically requested whether I would be charged or not and was advised I would not. I request that this be looked into by your agency as I do consider this a real safety factor. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

My husband and I purchased a 2021 alpine Keystone 3712 KB fifth wheel on June 2, 2021 around the end of Aug 2021. We left to Oregon for our vacation. Around the first part of September 2021 our trailer started showing signs of issues. We put it in the camper world in Eugene OR and found out that it had front structural damage where they tore out all the the foam off the front goose neck & replaced
... it with tongue in groove wood. In November 2021 we were finally able to bring the trailer back to Utah. On our way home. We blew two driver side tires simultaneously. It caused thousands to repair. I spoke with a tire specialist. He looked at the tires and said they weren’t even rated for us to load our trailer up with water and all the essentials that are required to camp We were told at the KOA by people that worked for those companies that we should’ve replace the tires we didn’t believe them of course because we just bought it and put $104,000 into this RV only to regret not listening to the people that were once employed for these companies in music it was a defect or problem. Since that time we’ve had the trailer in the RV repair shop more than we’ve even been able to enjoy it over the last two years I believe we’ve only used it a total of five times and every time there has been a problem where it’s had to been returned to the repair shop. We are now having issues again where the front coach is starting to make a scene and cracking noises it’s the same thing that happened the first time when we had the front structural damage we don’t get any help from Parris RV in Salt Lake City or from Keystone only to be told to go through warranty . I feel like this is unfair for us to put this much money into something that we wanted to enjoy and have not been able to do so for over two years . There are many more issues that are going on with this RV but I don’t believe I have enough characters to tell you everything.Read more
