The paint on my vehicle has been bubbling and chipping off for years. I did buy my vehicle used and was a certified pre owned. It was in great condition at the time of purchase. The paint became a problem soon after owning the vehicle. I didn’t think much of it till it continued to peel off more and rust in certain areas. I noticed more vehicles like mine had the same problem. I began looking in
... to it and seen that others were complaining of the same issue as mine online. I did contact Kias main corporate office and they wanted estimates and pictures. I did not go thru with this because they said it was a process to even get approved and if they approved it they would only paint certain parts, and not the whole car. I figured why paint parts if the same paint was used originally to paint the entire car then chips could happen anywhere else. And if paint was approved on certain areas I could only file once and to me that didn’t seem worth it at the time so I decided to see if this would become a recall and have been waiting patiently. Im very unhappy with KIA regarding this issue. It’s clearly a problem amongst multiple customers. I have this nice car and it’s embarrassing to drive like this. I hope this message reaches someone who will do something about this. Thank youRead more

My driver side door began making a grinding/creaking noise when opening. It was rather alarming as it was loud and extremly noticibale everytime I would open AND close my door. At one point, I had opened my door while doing errands and I could not actually push the door closed without some physical force. Now the door makes a more hollow creaking sound while closing and opening the door. Recently,
... my driver side window has since malfunctioned (does not go down). I can push the button for it to go down, but it only moves two inches before it stops completly. I use my vvehcile to communte to and from work and to transport my children to school and back. This safety concern is alarming as the safety of myself is at risk if ever in an accident, potentially not being able to open the door or even the door unlatching while driving at highway speed of 120kms. I have voiced my concerns to my FORD dealership but due to not purchasing extended warranty at time of purchase, It is not covered and recommened to take to an autobody shop for servicing. The technician noted "it can be quiet expensive". There are no warning lights.Read more

The front bumper keeps popping out. I’ve returned it to the dealer 3 times, who says a clip has to be replaced. However, it’s not covered under the extended warranty and they will just replace it. We have a 2019 Toyota Highlander. VIN: [XXX] . There are two issues with this vehicle... 1) Our bumper fell down after an uneventful car wash. We didn't hit anything. Reported it to the car wash place (Ollie's Car Wash in Walker, LA) after we noticed it fell. We had to tie-strap it back up because the clips no longer worked right. This happened August 12, 2023. We have pictures of the dama

We have to reset the button often. Sometimes it gets stuck open and sometimes it won't open at all. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

Issue I have is when its raining - any water in the doors is to to drain out the 4 drain holes at the bottom of the doors. On my 2022 Pathfinder it is coming out the 4 drain holes but also coming out from behind the inside door panels and all 4 doors causing the inside liner/insulation to get wet. If you see water drops on the black plastic piece in the kick plates /doorways then you have an issue
... . Is this normal and will this cause issues with mold and smell? It seems the issue is the weather stripe that runs under the inside door panels to the top of the door is not making proper contact with the door frame in front of the splash guard which there is an opening from the splash guard which is also a bad design which hold lots of water and when traveling at highway speeds 60+ and the splash guard get fully it start to splash and go thru the opening and the weather-strip is is a complete seal and with the wind water is penetrating thru and wetting the inside door panels. In addition the front passenger also starts with a gurgling sound and it seems water and air are getting trapped due to the splash guard design and weather-strip not providing a good enough seal causing it to make a gurgling sound.Read more

Paint is now bubbling and beginning to peel from different places on the vehicle (the roof, the hood, and the passenger side door). It is dangerous to other motorists on the road as the large strips of paint flying off can be distracting and/or can obstruct their view if/when it lands on their windshield.Read more

When washing the vehicle through a standard car wash (Mister) in Minnetonka, MN 55345. The vehicle takes on gallons of water. This seems completely inappropriate. Hope this email finds you well. I am writing just to give some feedback about my brand new Grand Highlander Platinum. The formal response received from
... 2 different dealers is: We just got off the phone with the Toyota technical specialists about the concern with the hood. They have one other case open for the same complaint but are telling us there is no safety concern at this time and to release the vehicle back to you. We did test 2 other Grand Highlanders and they are both doing the same thing. My personal opinion is that due to the lightweight nature of the hood it is susceptible to flex and is showing that movement more obviously because of the black paint’s reflection properties. In my experience, if more of these cases arise, the manufacturer will open an investigation into a possible resolution but at this time we have been instructed to take no action. If you want I can send you some videos about the vibration. As you can see, the answer does not make sense since it is uncomfortable to see how the hood moves while you drive. I think it is important that customers know this defect before investing money in this vehicle.
