I have only had my car for three years and it is well taken care of, but the door suddenly started popping. The same day, my door became difficult to open and extremely hard to close once I got it open. I contacted Ford Corporate the next day. I was told my car was out of warranty because I have 38981 miles. The only thing that was covered under the 5 year warranty in regards to safety would b
... e the seat belts and the airbags. I said, "Ford doesn't think that the car door being able to open or close in the case of an emergency is a safety issue?!?" The chat operator said she could open a case for Ford to review the issue. I asked her if that meant Ford would help with my door and she said no. They gave me case number CAS-46112899-L1F3M7 for my records. I asked how to track that case number to see Ford's response - but of course there is no way to track or check the status - making that case number useless for me. I took my car to Thoroughbred Ford to see if it could be covered under warranty and if they could also fix my radio which is now magically malfunctioning after the 3 year warranty lapsed, they told me I had to pay $155 EACH to have them to diagnose the door and radio problem before they could even give me a cost. Then I was told Ford had a TSB regarding the issue - so correction - it would be covered by Ford and the door has be replaced. I was happy - but not for long. They came back and apologize and said, no that TSB was just for rust and corrosion - they will cover that but not the popping door even though they admittedly were aware that this was a known issue. Then I was told no doors are available, so they can't quote me until it comes in so they will call me. So I look stupid in my car when I get in or out because I open just barely, turn to the side, slide in and then pray I can get it closed. Found out the window now doesn't want to come down because that door is messed up - so I could not even crawl out the window in an emergency.Read more

I have maintained my 2011 Outback well, and in August of 2023, while driving the vehicle, I lost the brakes. I had to fully depress the brake pedal to the floor in order to stop, fortunately not hitting the car in front of me . I brought the car to my local mechanic who advised me that the brake line rusted and failed as a result. As he was making the brake line repair, he advised me that ther
... e is SEVERE rusting to my underbody of my car and it's not normal. I then contacted Subaru Corporate Customer Service who asked me to bring the car into a Subaru Repair facility to have the car inspected. I brought the car into Ramsey Subaru, and with a charge of $150 to inspect the car, they advised me that the rust is significant and is unsafe to drive. They proceeded to quote me an estimated repair bill of over $6,000 to correct the rust issues. I then contacted Subaru Corporate HQ (Case #231011-1901134) and they advised me that the car is old, and there's nothing that they can do to assist me. However, what I'd like to bring to your attention, is the Outback model up to 2010, had a brake line rusting issue and they had a recall on it. In addition, when you search for 'Rust on Subaru" you can see that previous models years have been identified with Body Frame rusting issues, that prompted a recall on previous models. My ask is? Have you be contacted by other 2011 Subaru Outback owners about severe rust issues, and as a result lost their brakes and were told there car in no longer safe to drive?Read more

On Thursday, May 25, 2023, I took delivery of my new 2023 Lexus RX 500h at Nalley Lexus in Roswell, Georgia. On Saturday, June 3, 2023, I noticed that the interior dashboard trim has become separated. I could (can) see the plastic clips and some exposed wiring. My initial thought was to not touch it because it could possibly cause an electrical shock and to take the vehicle back to the dealership.
... Instead, I decided to snap the cover back in place. After driving a few miles in the same day, the cover came loose again. When I got home, I Googled my issue and learned that others were having the same problem. On the next business day, I contacted my service rep at Nalley Lexus, made her aware of the issue but she stated they weren't aware of the issue. I decided to wait until my 5k service to bring it up again. On Saturday, September 9, 2023, I took the vehicle to Hennessy Lexus of Atlanta for my 5k mile service. I made them aware of the issue, they allegedly ordered and replaced the part, but the same issue revealed itself days later. I contacted my service advisor at Hennessy Lexus of Atlanta to make them aware that the cover is still sagging/loose exposing wiring but they had no solution.Read more

I received the camper in February 2023. I communicated with the company about numerous visible defects on the camper, some just about quality, others that concerned me about safety (lots of rust on the body). I was reassured that these were not safety concerns. On my second short trip with the camper, within minutes of returning home, a large metal bracket dropped from the bottom of the camper. Wh
... en I looked closely, they had used a bolt that was just a tiny bit larger than the hole in the bracket it was supporting. Because of this construction decision, the bracket was not secure. Minutes earlier, I was towing the camper at 60 mph on a busy interstate. While I feel incredibly relieved it didn’t fall off until we got home, I believe this was a great safety risk to me and my husband and to the other drivers near us on the road that day. The bracket is large enough that I think it’s reasonable to assume that it may have caused me or other drivers to lose control of our vehicles if it had fallen off earlier. They replaced the bracket under warranty, and the service provider did an exterior inspection for other obvious defects. I continue to find flaws with the camper after that inspection (things that you wouldn’t be able to see, like leaks), many that impact comfort, but I worry that the company’s use of an improper bolt to secure that bracket and other flaws may be an indication that other materials and parts on the camper could be safety hazards if taken on the road. I am currently seeking a refund from the company because it does not work as advertised and I do not feel safe using it. I am concerned that the company does not prioritize safety in their manufacturing practices, and I hope that they can be investigated and held accountable.Read more

Kia America is failing to address a significant defect in the sunroof of my Kia Stinger. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this issue with the company directly and using the BBB AUTO line I have received dismissive and unhelpful responses. Kia America is demonstrating a complete disregard for customer satisfaction and safety. The interior of my Kia Stinger has been producing an excessively lou
... d and distracting noise since the day of purchase. I have contacted Kia America on numerous occasions to seek assistance and resolution. However, their response has been consistently unsatisfactory and dismissive of my concerns. In their latest communication, which I have attached for your reference, their representative has gone so far as to suggest that the noise is normal and imply that I should trade in my vehicle due to my dissatisfaction. This response is wholly inadequate and fails to address a clear defect in the sunroof and other potentially defective components. I have previously owned vehicles with sunroofs, and none of them exhibited such a disruptive noise. It is evident that there is a manufacturing or design flaw in the sunroof of my Kia Stinger, and Kia America's unwillingness to acknowledge and rectify the issue is deeply concerning. I believe this defect poses a significant safety risk. It is a safety risk because it sounds like the glass is banging against itself, which over time can create fatigue cracks damaging the glass. This may lead to premature wear to the point where the entire glass breaks, flies back and hits someone else or micro pieces may fall into the car and land into someone's eyes. The distracting noise from the sunroof can impair the driver's concentration, potentially leading to accidents or hazardous driving conditions. Furthermore, there has been other documented complaints of people's sunroofs blowing out; I am trying to avoid being the next victim. The defect compromises the overall quality and value of the vehicle.Read more

In the beginning of July, the parking brake engaged on its own and a warning came up on the dash. It took some jockying to get the brake to disengage but it continued to happen. We took it to the dealer where purchased who told us that the parking brake control module was damaged by water and that bedause of this the extended warranty that we purchased for a few thousand dollars would not cover
... it (even though we were told it covered everything). The dealer wanted $2000 to fix it. I took the Jeep to a qualified mechanic whom I deal with, and he replaced the the control unit. We picked up the car and a week or so later the brake came on again. We took it back to the mechanic who dug deeper and found out that the body of the car was leaking, and water had run down and into the control unit again. It is now November (going on five months!) and we still do not have the car back because he is waiting for the part to come in. I'm a pretty patient person but this is ridiculous. I'm paying for a car that I haven't had for five months and then I'm told this is a common issue with Jeeps and no warranty will cover it. I sincerely beleive this should be arecall issue by Jeep. Especially when they cannot get me a part to fix it for months! Any help you can render is much appreciated. ThanksRead more
