Both power sliding doors are malfunctioning, with the left side being critical. The dashboard intermittently flashes "Door Open" and "Left Sliding Door Problem" warnings during travel, regardless of speed or road conditions (highway, low-speed, and cornering). A certified Honda technician (Case #16203079) confirmed DTC B2037 is stored for the left sliding door ratchet switch. The diagnostic report
... explicitly states the rear latch is failed/stuck in the open position, resulting in a half-latched state that "CAN OPEN WHILE DRIVING." The right door also shows intermittent issues with the ratchet switch and pinch sensor. Despite this documented, life-threatening safety defect, American Honda has refused repair assistance. I have video evidence of the warnings flashing while in motion.Read more

The power liftgate system appears to be malfunctioning. The vehicle intermittently displays a warning that the liftgate is open when it is fully closed and secured. When this occurs, the liftgate will not open using the exterior handle, interior button, or key fob. Additionally, the false “liftgate open” alert triggers the vehicle’s alarm system to activate unexpectedly without any attempt t
... o access the vehicle. The issue occurs randomly and without warning. This malfunction creates a safety risk because the liftgate cannot be opened when needed, which could prevent access to emergency supplies, child safety items, or the spare tire in an urgent situation. The false alert also causes the vehicle alarm to activate randomly, which can startle the driver and others nearby, potentially causing distraction while driving or in traffic areas. Additionally, the system incorrectly indicates that the liftgate is open, creating uncertainty about whether the vehicle is secure and safe to operate. A malfunctioning liftgate could present a hazard if the vehicle incorrectly detects an open door while in motion. Yes, the issue has been reproducible at Bluebonnet Ford in New Braunfels, TX. Water intrusion occurred inside the vehicle, resulting in extensive mold contamination throughout the interior, including the seats, front and rear carpets, and a child’s car seat. The source of the water intrusion has not been identified. The vehicle was taken to an authorized Subaru retailer, which confirmed in writing that water was present inside the vehicle and that mold was covering inter
... ior surfaces, including the child’s car seat. The only diagnostic test performed was a car wash to check for a sunroof leak, which did not replicate the issue. The retailer indicated that further diagnostic work would require significant interior disassembly and cleaning at the owner’s expense before the source of the leak can be determined. The manufacturer was contacted regarding this issue and declined assistance, citing “lack of required maintenance.” The specific maintenance and its relationship to the water intrusion have not been identified, and the source of the leak has not yet been diagnosed. The retailer also stated that technicians would not enter the vehicle due to the extent of the mold contamination. As a result, standard recall repairs have not been performed while the vehicle remains in this condition. A dealership technician also documented in a recorded inspection that water was present beneath the carpet, that the source of the leak could not be identified without further disassembly, and that the extent of mold contamination created an unsafe working environment. This condition creates a potential health and safety concern due to mold exposure inside the passenger cabin, particularly for a child occupant. In addition, excessive interior moisture has caused window fogging, which may impair visibility while driving. No warning lights or prior indicators were observed before the issue was discovered. The problem has been confirmed by a Subaru retailer. The vehicle remains available for inspection.Read more

I am having continual failures of the electronic door lock/linkage that causes the door to no open from either the interior or exterior of the vehicle. The door latch has been replaced twice on the driver door, once on the rear driver side, the passenger rear is going to be replaced this week, and the passenger front is starting to make a similar noise that the others have made before failing. In
... an attempt to fix before the cable was also replaced on the latch. The vehicle will not lock the doors allowing for them to be opened while the alarm is armed and will set it off from the exterior of the vehicle. This does not appear to be related to cold weather that has caused issues with the door closing in the past. All repairs have been completed under warranty, but I am considering this to be a safety risk, it does not throw warning messages or errors on the EVIC, and a general scanner does not show any faults with the door. I consider this to be a major safety risk due to the fact that if it fails on the interior of the vehicle, you cannot get out in an emergency without climbing over the door. If it fails from the exterior and an emergency happens you would need to access from another way and crawl over the seats. I do not slam the doors, and the driver side are the most used on this vehicle.Read more

Incident Summary: On April 1, 2026, while operating a 2025 Tesla Model Y at highway speeds (approx. 65-70 MPH), the front hood (frunk) spontaneously unlatched, flipped upward, and struck the windshield. The impact completely shattered the windshield, obstructed 100% of forward visibility, and caused structural damage to the hood and hinges. I was able to safely navigate to the shoulder by relying
... on side-view mirrors and lane-keep assist, but the incident constituted an immediate and life-threatening safety hazard. Failure of Safety Redundancies: Lack of Digital Warning: At no point prior to or during the drive did the vehicle’s software provide an "unlatched," "open," or "warning" notification on the primary display or via audible alert. The vehicle’s sensors failed to detect a compromised latch state. Secondary Latch Failure: The mechanical secondary safety catch, designed to prevent the hood from fully opening if the primary latch fails, did not engage or hold. The hood bypassed all mechanical and digital failsafes. Spontaneous Activation: The vehicle had not been manually accessed in the frunk area immediately prior to this trip, suggesting either a mechanical fatigue of the latch assembly or a software-commanded release error. Year/Make/Model: 2025 Tesla Model Y License Plate: [XXX] Previous Recalls: This failure appears identical in nature to NHTSA Recall 24V-554, which affected 2021-2024 models. It appears the remedy or part quality issues addressed in that recall may persist in the 2025 model year production. Safety Consequences: The sudden loss of visibility at high speeds on a congested highway created an extreme risk of a high-speed collision, multi-vehicle pileup, and potential fatality. The force of the hood striking the glass sent shards into the cabin. I am requesting an immediate investigation into the 2025 Model Y hood latch assemblies and sensor logic to determine if a new or expanded recall is necessary to prevent loss of life. The power liftgate on my 2024 Toyota Sequoia intermittently fails to close using the automatic function. RE: The Power Liftgate Module Malfunction Approximately 45 days ago I began to see water build up inside the well where the liftgate locks. After seeing this twice - after it rained - I was at the dealership for an oil change and asked them to take a look. After review they suspected water intrusion, as there was a recall but not specifically on my VIN. Dealership indicated water tests were need
... ed and I needed to drop my car off for the day or 2. They also indicated to seek your help because of the recall. I couldn't leave my car there that day. On 3/28/26 I did several water tests on the hatchback, using a hose and controlled the flow over the different sections of the hatchback in grid fashion of 6 sections. Each section I sprinkled water like a light rain and then waited 60 mins to see if the water would make it into the lock well. After checking I dried the lock well and then waited another hour to be sure no additional water came into the lock well, before continuing the process over the course of that day and the next. Each time water intruded, entered the inside of the vehicle into the lock well. After conducting research on this issue, the recall stated that this could cause a fire, and not to park the car inside of the garage or near other vehicles. As a result, the hatchback is malfunctioning, it opens and then automatically reverses, and it closes. It will not stay open and is not usable. I'd like to bring it back to the dealership for further testing however, I'd also like to get this resolved in the same visit as I'm sure they will find the same outcome of water intruding causing the electrical issues with the liftgate. Due to it being a fire hazard, I'm afraid to use my vehicle. Can you assist so I don't need to leave my one and only vehicle with the dealership for more than a day or two?Read more
