My car had been having no issues and working as expected. I left to depart for my destination and my driver's door made a terrible grinding noise and didn't open smoothly. There was resistance. I am able to drive the vehicle without issue, but I cannot open the driver's door all the way. My local Ford Dealership won't repair the door, citing that I need to wait for the recall from Ford. I'd

In two years I haven’t been able to open my passenger side doors from the outside.. VW states it a recall item with no fix available. This is only a way to skirt the lemon laws. VW should be forced to fix these defective doors at once to take the car back,. I going to seek remedy in Federal Court if this isn’t addressed soon.

Since the beginning of ownership have heard creaking in the floors. Then noticed doors are closing harder and bolts and screws on the left hand side are coming out. While I was driving back from work on January 31, 2023 the rear windshield of my car exploded for no apparent reason. The noise was so loud that flinched. If there was a car was in front of me I would have caused an accident. The windshield shattered and if I had children or anyone in the back seat they would have pieces of glasses on the back of their heads. I was thankful that I did not have
... any broken glasses on the back of my head. I dropped the car off at a Honda dealership on January 31 st. I still do not have a car, nor will they give me a loaner to get to work. They were no warning messages that alerted me prior to the incident. I brought the car new and it's only a year old. I believe this is a defect on Honda's manufacturing. I hope no one get hurts by this, because I know it's causing me a lot of inconveniences.Read more

Problems with the driver side door. Purchased car brand new. Currently has 25k miles (roughly). My 3-36k mile warranty ended 10/23. My door is making creaking snapping popping noises and the window Won't go down. I'm concerned the door won't open or worse snap and fall off while driving. I feel I have to hold the door while driving which is not safe. . I have to drive this car for work, I work in
... the field and need the car to go from location to location throughout the day. . I took it to the dealer garage. The conversation went along the lines, the door arm welds are bad and the garage mentioned they had 5 cars recently with the same problem. They said it was covered and then the door would have to be replaced. They (service dept) sent it over to the body shop stating it was too long of a job for service dept to do. I waited 2 weeks and went down to check on status. The body shop said it wasn't covered and it would be $2400 to replace the door. Contacted Ford about the letter that's supposedly to come out to owners with this problem 2020 escape and they know nothing about it. I reached out to another dealer in the area and they are very aware of problem with the escape door but they know nothing about Fords customer satisfaction program regarding the door. Very concerned the car door is unsafe.Read more

The drive door is consistently not locking properly and the door latch sensor is not reading when the door is shut properly. Causing a "door ajar" and "transmission not in park" warning to pop up while driving. Also, my car alarm goes off several times a day and several times all through the night due to the door sensor not working properly. The doors not locking is a huge safety risk. The interio
... r lights stay on making it hard to see while driving at night and drains my car battery. Children can open my doors from the inside while driving and any unwanted person can open my doors from the outside while stopped for traffic reasons. When I looked at the car to purchase 4 years ago, I reported the issue to the dealer and the dealer supposedly sent the car to a Ford dealership to inspect and fix the issue. After the supposed fix, the issue seemed fine for a while. However, the issue came back shortly after purchase and got worse causing other symptoms such as the car alarm going off randomly after locking the car. I honestly feel the dealer just cleaned the sensor and door latch area to make a sale, which from what I've read is only a temporary fix. I have seen investigations and recalls for 2011, 2012, and 2013 Ford Edge models with the same or similar issues. However, there have not been any investigations and recalls for this issue on a 2014 Ford Edge, yet there are many complaints. Please investigate this safety issue so we don't have to worry about possible risk that could occur while driving. Thank you.Read more

The panoramic sunroof will not open on one side rendering the sunroof unusable. this problem is happening often on this Mercedes model. Premature Subframe Corrosion: first noticed a knocking noise coming from under rear driver side area when going over bumps with our 2011 Murano. Then the knocking noise (metal on metal sound) got worse and then the back of our vehicle would sway uncontrollably side to side when pressing a little hard on the brakes. Brought the vehicle to the Nissan dealer and was told that the subframe had exces
... sive corrosion and the vehicle is dangerous to drive. Our vehicle has only 106,800 miles and has been garage kept and serviced every year by the Nissan dealership. Discovered online that 100’s, probably 1000’s including unreported incidents of other Nissan owners having the same excessive subframe rusting problem. People have reported their wheels falling off and losing control of vehicle...easily can cause major accident with deaths. There was a recall in 2006 for the same subframe issue but for unknown reasons doesn’t include my vehicle. Nissan has not corrected the cause of the subframe defect and has allowed this dangerous situation to continue with their vehicles even after the recall ended. The parts & labor cost to replace the subframe is between $3,000-$4,000+ and Nissan Consumer Affairs says since there are no current recalls and the vehicle is out of warranty that they will do nothing for me. This subframe rusting started day 1 when we purchased the vehicle and prematurely got worse each year through the warranty period until it becomes a dangerous situation after the warranty period ends. The prior recall should be extended to cover more vehicles and Nissan should take responsibility for not correcting the premature subframe rusting issues. Nissan should cover the costs to repair the faulty subframe or at the least, Nissan should supply the parts to correct the issue and the owner be responsible for the labor.Read more

The rear switch on our tailgate has failed and it allows the tailgate to open/close randomly on its own while the vehicle is locked even. I contacted Buick about the problem and they said didn’t care, but this can happen while the vehicle is moving down the road as well as when parked. It’s not necessarily a typical safety issue that are normally recalled for, but it does pose significant safe

We had this happen on our car at around 38,000 miles. From reading other Buick forums to try and figure out what the cause is, it sounds like it’s a somewhat common occurrence. I took my car to Hyundai due to the rear spoiler squeaking on warm days. Sounded like it was rubbing plastic on plastic. The dealership wanted $200 to just look at what the problem might be. I couldn't afford that. I went home and researched how to look into it my self. I removed the interior top trim piece and 3 locking nut/washer combos fell out of the trim piece. Only 5 nuts hold the spoiler in
... place and the 2 other nuts were loose. My spoiler could have fallen off at anytime. Only reason I thought to check for this after I got home was someone mentioned the same problem on another Hyundai Vehicle. This clearly is a problem. They are not adding any liquid lock or something to prevent this from happening. I am very good at working on cars, what if the next person isn't and they can't afford to pay to have the spoiler looked at and it falls off. Only thing left that would hold it on would be a brake light wire and the washer hose. I'm not sure if this is a wide spread problem, but if mine can come off driving it daily. I imagine their could be a bunch of spoilers loose and nobody realizes it.Read more
