The keyless entry keypad - driver sides B-Pillar front door’s trim panel came loose while driving on I-95 today (approximately 70 mph). It was not apparently loose before this event. I purchased this truck in 2022 from a Car lot. everything seemed to be ok when we bought it. we have since put less then 7000 miles on it and we took it in for a check up when our mechanic found that the frame is totally rusted out. we contacted the chevy dealership about a frame repair and were told it would need a brand new frame that would cost between $7,000-$10,00 to get it fixed and a 6 mont

Component/System Failed: The frame of my 2002 Toyota Sequoia has severely rusted, resulting in a gaping hole. It is available for inspection upon request. Safety Risk: The rusted frame jeopardizes my safety and renders the vehicle unsafe for use. Confirmation: A mechanic has confirmed the rust issue. Manufacturer Inspection: Toyota has not inspected my Sequoia’s frame. Warning Signs: There were
... no warning lamps or messages related to frame rust prior to the failure; it became evident during my recent inspection. The gaping hole in my Sequoia’s frame is not due to normal wear and tear but rather Toyota’s poor manufacturing practices. Shockingly, Toyota issued a “limited service campaign” for similar rust issues in other vehicles, but I was never informed. This lack of transparency is unacceptable. It is clear that Toyota’s decision to implement a limited service campaign, rather than a comprehensive recall, reflects a blatant disregard for the safety and satisfaction of its customers. By prioritizing cost-cutting measures over ethical responsibility, Toyota has failed to uphold its duty to consumers and the people who sustain its business. Toyota’s actions have revealed a disturbing trend of prioritizing profits over people. The company’s failure to adequately address known issues with rusted frames speaks volumes about its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Despite numerous complaints and documented cases of frame rust, Toyota’s response has been inadequate. I urge Toyota to take immediate action. Inspect and replace my Sequoia’s frame promptly. Prioritize consumers over profits. Restore my faith in the brand that I once trusted.Read more

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. issued a recall for our 2010 CRV. The recall identified a flaw in the design whereby "corrosion can form in the rear frame due to the accumulation of road de-icing agents mixed with mud and water. As a result, the rear frame can deteriorate, and the rear trailing arm may fall off. A detached rear trailing arm can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk o
... f a crash or injury." (NHSTA Recall Number 23V-228) After the work was performed, we were told by a representative of the dealership’s service department that the vehicle would not pass state motor vehicle safety inspection because of the work they had performed. Over the course of August, 2023 I made more than 20 attempts (15 by email and many more by phone) to reach Honda representatives to ask them to fully repair the car so that it could pass inspection, or to repurchase the vehicle per the terms of the recall notice. Honda declined, stating that "if the brace had not been installed, we would be having a different conversation" (telephone conversation with a supervisor at Honda, August 31, 2023). The work that Honda did to address this safety recall was insufficient because, although the service team at the dealership was able to install a brace on the vehicle's rear frame, the vehicle will not pass state motor vehicle inspection, according to both Honda's dealership mechanic and an assessment by an independent certified mechanic who is familiar with this vehicle. Honda’s original design of certain parts of the frame is responsible for the excessive corrosion of the rear frame which is rendering the vehicle unsafe to drive. Since American Honda Motor Co. was not able to repair the vehicle to a safe operating condition that will continue to pass state inspection, and since the vehicle is otherwise in proper, safe, working condition, the company should have offered to repurchase the vehicle. The recall "fix" is insufficient to ensure driver safety.Read more

I am the owner of a 10 year old Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with less than 82000 miles. On Feb. 27, 2024 approx. 04:15 left for gym and work. When arrived at gym and began to park, I put truck in reverse to check back line and noticed I was looking at my license plate. I then put into park and got out of truck and shut tailgate. Thinking not much about it, I must've touched the button the night before and hit a bump on way into work. Since I have a toneau cover, it fits pretty tight
... and I typically have to pull it down by hand. I heard about recall that day after I got to work from co workers. Checked my VIN, but did not come up as one of the tailgate recalls. March 7, 2024- Left again for gym and work approximately same time in AM. As I was driving into gym and work, another car coming up close behind me wanted to pass. The car then suddenly backed off to a considerable distance. As I got to gym and put in reverse to check my back line, I noticed I was looking at my license plate again. I know that I did not touch a button either on FAB or tailgate. because I park in garage and leave FAB in a secure place where it can not be pressed. If tailgate was down in my garage, it would have stopped garage door from opening and/or damaged my garage door. In either instances, I did not get a sensor alarm going off on my dash for "tailgate down", If its even equipped with that alarm.Read more

My wife and I were driving our 2015 C-Class Mercedes on a highway, traveling at roughly 55MPH on 2/25/24, at approximately 2pm, conditions were sunny but windy, when suddenly we heard a loud noise above our heads. The noise sounded like it came from around our sunroof, and it sounded as if maybe the car had been hit by a piece of debris, although neither of us saw anything. We looked in our mirr
... ors but didn't see anything, and I also tried opening and closing the sunroof and it worked fine. I also looked in my rear view mirror and didn't see any cars behind me swerve, or in any way adjust their driving. Because there was no safe shoulder on that part of the road, we continued a mile or so further up the road and then pulled over to see if we could visibly see anything wrong with the car. To our disbelief, a section of the body of the car that is just above the front windshield and just before the sunroof, a piece I believe called the "front stationary sunroof panel" , was completely missing! We were unsuccessful at finding the piece. After some research in recent days, I believe this issue is related to MB recall campaign #2021070010, 22V-954 / 2023010004/5/6. If this is however related to the recall, the Mercedes dealership we took our car to on 3/1/24 told us it would cost us over $2,000.00 to repair. As I thought about a piece of the car simply flying off while driving, I realized how much of a safety hazard this could pose to others, hence this written report.Read more

We could hear loud scraping/grinding noises, and we pulled to the shoulder as quickly as we could. At first we suspected a flat tire, however the tir

We learned that the front driver-side suspension had failed and broke through the surrounding strut tower. The vehicle was deemed a total loss and was sold at a salvage auction, however we do still have the broken part of the strut tower if needed for inspection. Our safety and that of other drivers on the road was put at risk in this event. If we had been traveling on a tighter curve or at a higher speed, we could have lost control of the vehicle and resulted in a crash. We were stranded on the side of a busy highway onramp at night when this incident occurred, which was also unsafe. UNKNOWN if the problem has been reproduced by a dealer or service center. Our understanding is that Tesla is already aware of the suspension issues. The vehicle was inspected by Tesla's Raleigh Service Center, by Erie Insurance, and by a local, Telsa-authorized Body Shop (Relentless Collision). They confirmed the suspension and strut tower failure. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to or at the time of failure. I purchased this vehicle from the dealership on Nov 24, 2023. On Dec 9th, 2023 I found evidence of mice chewing and droppings. I checked the air cabin filter and there was evidence of mouse droppings and chewing as well. I set traps and caught three mice. I took the vehicle to the dealership to identify where they were coming in from and to assess what kind of damage was done to the vehicle, as it
... was smelling very bad even after changing the air filters. The dealership stated that this was not covered under warranty because it is not a mechanical problem and that I had to go through my insurance and submit a claim before they could proceed with removing the dashboard to investigate damage to the firewall. I received approval from my insurance after submitting a comprehensive claim and the dealership took apart the entire dashboard as well as several other components. They stated that they found evidence of mice droppings, but could not identify where they were coming from, so they put everything back together and returned the vehicle to me. Yesterday (March 6th), I again saw new evidence of chewing near the gas/brake pedals as well as at the air cabin filter. I called Ram to complain about this but they stated that it is not a mechanical issue. However, I believe they need to investigate and fix this problem because it is a structural issue that is permitting mice to enter and damage my vehicle and children's car seats, and the firewall between the engine and cabin could be compromised. More importantly, it is a health hazard with the mouse droppings and urine propagating throughout the ventilation system. Your feedback and support would be greatly appreciated to have Ram resolve this issue with my vehicle. Thank youRead more
