After several decades of producing the JK model Wrangler, Jeep transitioned to a JL model midyear 2018. There are essentially two distinct 2018 Jeep Wrangler models. Jeep (Stellantis) has accepted responsibility for a safety defect for the JL model years 2019 through current. This recognized defect affects heavy corrosion on the hinges for the doors which creates an extreme safety concern. My
... 2018 JL Wrangler has the same failure, same part, same time frame, but was unjustly excluded by build date. 6 of the 8 door hinges and surrounding body have various levels of corrosion. My dealer just completed a recall for a steering damper which is widely categorized as a concern for 2018 and 2019 JL Wranglers. This is irrefutable proof that 2018 JL Wranglers were built through the same assembly line process as 2019 and later versions. The safety concern I've described above should be included in the open factory recall that Jeep/Stellantis has accepted as their responsibility. I have contact customer service for Jeep/Stellantis multiple times. They refuse to hear my concerns, were incredibly unprofessional, and have hung up on me numerous times.Read more

1. Component: Bus 15 - Right front outrigger. Yes it is available for inspection 2. Safety: Outrigger cracked creating insufficient support of the school bus body 3. We were told it was not covered under warranty and no recalls have been generated and therefore paid for the first repair through Wolfington Body Co. Inc. Their repair did not hold and it came apart and on 8/7/2024 it was repaired
... a second time, no charge. It came apart again and on 1/30/2025 it was repaired a third time, no charge. 4. The dealer has inspected the bus, we are not aware of the manufacturer or anyone else having inspected the bus. The dealer did say they were going to present this to the manufacturer but we have never heard anything more about it. 5. We first noticed the crack when we inspected it on 4/4/2024 because we heard and felt an unusual noise/motion when driving on the roads in our town. PLEASE NOTE: Since then we have had a total of 4 out of our 5 International Gas Buses with the identical problem. Those Buses are: Bus 3 The crack was noticed on 10/24/2024 mileage 37,052 cost to repair $3,010.18. This repair came apart again on 10/24/2025 and was repaired on 2/13/26 no charge. Bus 1 The crack was noticed on 11/19/2024 mileage 46,718 the Dealer repaired at no cost due to negotiating a compromise. Bus 12 The crack was noticed on 5/23/2025 mileage 40,310 cost to repair $3,005.58. I have been told by the Dealer's Service Team through an email dated 8/4/2025 that they would be submitting these to the Manufacturers "goodwill process in hopes of having the previous and current repairs reimbursed" To date, we have heard nothing. We strongly feel this is a manufacturer design defect and it must be happening to other IC School Buses as well.Read more

On XXXXX, while parked at a campsite approximately two hours from my home, the vehicle displayed an “electrical failure” warning on the dashboard. The vehicle had been parked for less than 20 minutes when this issue occurred. I contacted Hyundai customer support that same evening to report the problem (Case #XXXXXX). On April 4, 2026, the vehicle was towed via Hyundai roadside assistance to Wi
... nner Hyundai in Dover, Delaware, where Tracy is my current point of contact. This situation left my family of four, along with our belongings and pet, stranded without transportation. Despite significant effort, we were unable to secure a rental vehicle in the Dewey Beach area, even after contacting multiple rental agencies and the dealership directly. This was later resolved, and I am currently in a rental through Enterprise; however, the stress and uncertainty of potentially being stranded was significant and unacceptable. While at the dealership, my wife witnessed the tow operator unloading the vehicle without proper equipment to safely lower it. As a result, the vehicle’s hitch made forceful contact with the pavement and became lodged. Multiple dealership employees observed the incident. After considerable effort to free the vehicle, it was released abruptly and rolled into another vehicle on the lot, causing additional damage. An argument then occurred between the dealership owner and the tow operator, which my wife was forced to witness. Severe corrosion of the rear subframe crossmember on a 2014 Audi Q5 Premium Plus, purchased with 65,464 miles. Two independent inspections in South Carolina confirmed structural failure. Audi of Greenville, an authorized Audi dealership, marked the condition as VERY DANGEROUS on the service invoice and quoted $4,711.52 for subframe replacement. They were unable to perform a wheel alignment due to
... the severity of the corrosion. Yoder's Automotive in Westminster, SC independently confirmed the subframe was rusted beyond repair on both sides. Fist-sized holes have corroded through the structural metal on both sides of the subframe. The vehicle has plastic stone guard covers bolted over the subframe from the factory. These covers trapped road salt and moisture against unpainted mild steel, accelerating concealed corrosion that was invisible until the covers were removed during inspection. The vehicle is undriveable and has not been driven since the defect was discovered in approximately March 2026. This defect pattern is documented in at least 16 prior NHTSA complaints for Audi Q5 models spanning model years 2010 through 2018. Audi has revised the subframe part number at least five times (8R0505235F through 8R0505235N) but has issued zero recalls and zero consumer notifications.Read more

Component: VISIBILITY / SUN VISOR Vehicle: 2023 Toyota Corolla Both the driver-side and passenger-side sun visors in my 2023 Toyota Corolla have failed within approximately two years of normal use. The visors no longer remain in their intended position and instead fall downward unexpectedly. When this occurs, the visor drops directly into the driver’s field of vision, creating a significant safe
... ty hazard by obstructing forward visibility while driving. This condition can happen without warning and requires the driver to physically move the visor out of the way, causing distraction and increasing the risk of an accident. The vehicle has not been modified, damaged, or subjected to abnormal conditions. The visors were used only as intended. Sun exposure is a normal and expected condition for this component, and failure under these circumstances indicates a potential defect in materials or workmanship. Both visors failing in the same manner suggests a systemic issue rather than isolated wear and tear. The vehicle was taken to a Toyota dealership, where I was initially told the repair would be covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. However, the claim was later denied and classified as “wear and tear” due to sun exposure. Given the function of sun visors, this explanation is not reasonable. This issue presents an ongoing safety concern due to impaired driver visibility. I am submitting this complaint so that this defect can be reviewed and tracked for potential broader impact.Read more

I am submitting a safety defect complaint regarding my 2020 Voltage toy hauler. The driver-side exterior wall panels are separating across large areas due to apparent adhesive failure. The RV has been stored indoors and shows no signs of water intrusion, damage, or neglect. This indicates the failure is not due to environmental exposure or owner misuse. The separation appears to be progressive and
... is affecting the structural bonding of the exterior panels. This creates a safety concern that portions of the paneling could detach while the vehicle is in motion, potentially creating road debris and posing a hazard to other motorists. The unit has a black exterior finish. Based on owner reports and industry discussions, darker exterior finishes are known to increase heat absorption, which may contribute to adhesive breakdown. This suggests a possible design or manufacturing defect that could affect multiple units. The manufacturer has declined to provide repair assistance due to the unit being out of warranty. However, the nature of this failure indicates a latent defect rather than normal wear and tear. I am requesting that this issue be reviewed as a potential safety-related defect involving exterior panel adhesion and structural integrity.Read more
