The front suspension control arm was completely detached due to unfastened bolts. While this happened on the parking lot at low speed, such detachment at highway speed would certainly lead to major damage, loss of control and injuries or death to the driver. Pictures attached show that the bolts did not have any thread lock applied and simply unscrewed themselves due to vibration. The vehicle was

Where do I start. Spring of 2024 I believe, less than 55,000 miles, my transmission went out. No warning. I just went out to my vehicle to go to work and when I put it into reverse, my vehicle make a awful noise, jerked forward almost going into my garage door, then wouldn't move.. I put it back in park, tried to put into reverse again and it wouldn't go. It was stuck in park. Had to get it towed
... to the dealership where they advised me the transmission went out. It was covered under the drivetrain warranty, but the GM warranty doesn't cover rental. It took almost 4 weeks for GM to approve for a new transmission due to parts being on back order to rebuild my transmission. Several months later, I was driving down the road when the ESC light and then it said "shift to neutral & press start" and I lost power. I coasted into a parking lot, got it fired up, but had no air conditioning (of course it was summer). Took it to the dealer and they said my radiator and A/C Compressor had to be replaced. Luckily my extended warranty covered the $5000 repair. Now 4 months later I got "steering assist reduced, drive with care" with codes. Took to shop and the codes basically was the temp was to low, but the shop couldn't find anything wrong. Cleared the codes and so far so good, but now my ESC light pops on once a week again. I don't even have 60,000 miles on my vehicle.Read more

The steering and suspension system appears to be malfunctioning. The vehicle consistently pulls to the right during normal driving and does not track straight when the steering wheel is held centered. This condition requires constant steering correction and affects vehicle stability and control. My safety and the safety of others are put at risk, particularly at highway speeds or during emergency
... maneuvers, where unintended lane deviation may occur. The issue is repeatable and occurs on straight, flat roads at both city and highway speeds. The vehicle has been inspected multiple times by an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership, including alignment checks, but the condition has not been corrected. No warning lights or dashboard messages were displayed prior to or during the occurrence of this issue. The vehicle remains available for inspection upon request.Read more

The power steering went out during routine around-town driving. One moment it was steering fine, the next moment it became extremely difficult and sluggish. There were no warning lights or warning of any sort until the steering wheel started jerking unevenly as I tried to turn. I was able to get control of the vehicle and pull it to the side of the road. There was no difference in the engine nois
... e, and I couldn't see any noticeable fluid leak. I was able to drive the vehicle home, make an appointment with the Toyota dealer, and get the vehicle to the dealership for inspection. The dealership told me after inspection, that the rack and pinion steering was binding internally, and that there was seepage from the right boot. Initially, they told me that the pump should be fine. I authorized them to replace the rack and pinion steering. After which, they told me that the problem seemed to still persist some, and that the pump would have to be replaced also. My total bill came to $3,200, which seemed not unfair. But this whole issue seemed like something that should be noticed as part of a recall. I found the NHTSA recall number. 21V-920, and my truck seemed to match exactly the symptoms spelled out is this recall , but Toyota refused to acknowledge it. My VIN number did not fall within the specified VIN for this recall. I've driven several Toyotas, including another Tundra, a Tacoma, 2 Highlanders and a Sienna, and have been pleased with each vehicle. This Tundra is 10 years old with 95,000 miles, and I've only done expected maintenance and a couple of occasional minor repairs. Those being: - Having the brakes resurfaced - Changing out the alternator In the end, it wasn't a devastating amount of money, but it was an issue that I felt Toyota should have taken care of. I did reach out to them, but because I had already paid for the repairs on the vehicle I needed to drive for work, they refused to talk to me any further. I have the estimate and final bill.Read more

After noticing a "groaning/moaning" sound from the vehicle when turning sharp at low speeds the vehicle was brought into a dealership to be inspected. After inspection, the mechanic stated that the sound is coming from the rear differential and that it would need to be flushed/cleaned up to three times as a potential correction. If the clean/flush does not correct the issue, they would need to rep
... lace the entire rear differential. When asked what happens if the rear differential fails, we were advised that we could experience total failure and lock up. This is a safety issue in that if we are driving and the wheels lock up the potential for collision or major accidents is high. I also understand that the differential is meant to last the life of the vehicle and had 123k miles, the life of the vehicle is far from over. Another issue we are experiencing is excessive oil burning. The vehicle "add engine oil" light comes on after 2,500 miles when being regularly maintenanced. The vehicle should not require the addition of oil after that many miles, more so should not require oil at all unless you weren't properly maintaining the vehicle (which is not the case). I understand issues arise and things happen; I just want this to be acknowledged as a potential safety issue and corrected. Thank you,Read more

My 2025 Honda Accord Hybrid (approx. 37,500 miles) has developed a dangerous steering defect identical to the widely known 'Sticky Steering' issue affecting the 2022-2025 Civic and CR-V. The Safety Incident: While driving at highway speeds (45-70 mph), the steering wheel physically 'sticks' or 'locks' in the center position. To make minor lane corrections, I must apply abnormal force to break the
... wheel free, causing it to 'snap' or jerk suddenly. This leads to overcorrection and an inability to maintain a safe, straight line in my lane. This 'stiction' worsens after the vehicle warms up (20+ minutes of driving). The Component: This exhibits the exact symptoms of a defective worm gear/steering gearbox assembly (swelling of internal components due to heat), which is currently under recall/investigation for other Honda models. Dealer Response: The dealer Wyler Honda of Florence (KY) confirmed the symptoms but refused a warranty repair because the vehicle is 1,500 miles past the 36k limit, despite this being a known manufacturing safety defect. They requested a diagnostic fee to inspect a safety hazard. I am reporting this to force a recall for the 2025 Accord, as it clearly shares the defective steering rack components found in the recalled Civic/CR-V/Integra models.Read more

My wife and I purchased a new 2025 Honda Odyssey Van as it currently has about 11,000 miles and we both have noticed a front end vibration/rattle/noise that can be heard and felt in the steering wheel at varying speeds in the front suspension which leads me to believe as an engineer there are issues with sway bar end links, bad strut mounts, or loose control arm bushings that are especially notice
... able over any bumps. This issue could pose a serious safety issues in dealing with failed suspension or steering that could cause a potential wreck or loss of control of a vehicle and result in a product liability suit for all parties involved especially given suspension and steering are considered critical auto parts in nature. The problem has been reproduced with my making an appointment at Watermark Honda located at 3201 Park Ave, Paducah, KY 42001 on November 19th, 2025 with the Master Service Tech Caleb Buchanan and Service Advisor Harley Littrell both driving the vehicle and acknowledging the noise and vibration. I also have any recorded video while driving at 5-10 mph in the parking lot of Watermark Honda that was shared and viewed by Harley Littrell. The vehicle was inspected with some strut bolts and other front end component bolts being torqued down the same day with the issue not being resolved. Harley/Caleb noted that they were dealing with the same issue on another 2025 Honda Odyssey on the lot to be sold and they were trying to address issues. As of follow-up appointment on 12/11/25, Harley noted this van had several front end parts replaced and it still made noise with this van not being able to be sold to the public. 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid purchased new, completed all routine and recommended maintenance over its life. - The passenger side drive shaft failed on May 5, 2025, pulling into our driveway, and it fell out of the bottom of the car onto the pavement. - The driver’s side drive shaft failed on December 4, 2025, leaving a shopping center parking lot, and it fell out of the bottom of the car onto t
... he pavement. Attached are photos of both driveshafts, which clearly show the similarities in the failures. I have the parts for the driver’s side in my possession and am happy to furnish them for analysis. These failures are catastrophic in that the vehicle was rendered undrivable with a loss of control without warning. This vehicle is used daily for highway commuting and had this failure occurred on the highway at 65 mph, I believe it would have caused a serious crash of this vehicle and likely caused a multi-vehicle accident given the sudden nature of the failure and the lack of control the vehicle experienced upon failure. Honda Service Bulletin 20-125 appears to address a very similar concern for Honda Accord “CVT models.” The photos and inspection area listed in that bulletin seem to indicate that my car experienced a similar failure (Bulletin attached); however, I was told by the dealership that my VIN was not subject to the recall. I believe the vehicle is subject to a similar defect as described in the Service Bulletin for other Honda Accord models and believe it should be investigated and included in the recall. These failures have cost $2,279.47 in repair fees, approximately $400 in emergency towing and do not seem to be in line with routine maintenance or "wear and tear".Read more

In order to avoid entering a busy roadway without adequate braking capability, the driver applied maximum steering input, fully loading the left side of the steering wheel with as much force as possible in an attempt to redirect the vehicle. Any reduction in speed occurred primarily due to the change in direction and tire to road friction, not effective braking. The vehicle was towed to a Toyota dealership. Dealer intake records document a PCS warning and no brakes upon arrival. Event Data Recorder (EDR/CDR) data shows continuous brake pedal application for approximately 5 seconds prior to the event, accelerator at 0%, and brake system hydraulic pressure reaching approximately 12.14 MPa (maximum recorded). Despite this, the vehicle did not stop as expected. No frontal crash pulse recorded. Toyota Motor North America later denied responsibility, asserting incorrect vehicle speed and stating that a CARFAX report indicated prior front-end damage. The CARFAX vehicle history report, dealer purchase disclosures, and service records show no reported accidents or damage. Toyota declined to provide brake system ECU logs (ABS/VSC/brake control modules). My vehicle is subject to NHTSA Safety Recall 14S06 related to loss of electric power steering assist. The Power Steering Control Module was reprogrammed in 2014, and Ford now considers the recall closed based on that reprogramming. In 2025, the vehicle again experienced loss of electric power steering assist and currently exhibits the EPAS diagnostic trouble code associated with the recall defect
... . This condition has been verified by a Ford dealer. On November 13, 2025, the dealer attempted reprogramming of the steering control module as a diagnostic and customer service step to determine whether reprogramming would resolve the condition. This attempt did not correct the defect, and the loss of steering assist persists. Supplement 3 to Recall 14S06, issued in 2019, includes a Dealer Q&A section (Attachment 4, Question 3) that specifically addresses what happens if a customer experiences loss of steering assist after the module has been reprogrammed. Ford’s guidance states that any subsequent loss of assist after reprogramming may be eligible for extended coverage under a related program. This guidance acknowledges that reprogramming alone may not prevent recurrence of the defect and that further corrective action may be required when the loss of assist returns. Despite this acknowledgment, Ford has denied further remedy solely because the recall is marked “closed” in its internal system and because the vehicle exceeds the time and mileage limits of customer satisfaction program 15N01. The recall defect remains present in the vehicle, and the original remedy has not been adequate to correct it. I am requesting NHTSA review whether Ford has met its obligation under 49 U.S.C. §30120 to provide an adequate remedy for this safety defect.
