On the left side of the steering wheel there is a group of Settings buttons with a pressure sensitive dial, called the OK button, that controls which menu you choose. The button no longer allows me to select a menu option because the depression sensor does not spring back. For instance, if I want to adjust the driver assistance options, I need use the OK button to scroll through the options to fin

This makes it impossible to change or adjust any of the safety features and there is no other option to manually adjust them. I am unable to turn on the blind spot warning and lane departure warning. I was trying to adjust the auto light settings, but I could not scroll to the correct option. My lights were stuck in the "OFF" mode which makes driving very dangerous.Read more

I am reporting a safety-related issue involving the ECM / torque converter on my 2012 Toyota Camry. This issue can cause loss of power, hesitation, or stalling which presents a serious safety concern while driving. The issue impacts drivability and can result in sudden loss of acceleration or engine stalling, especially at higher speeds or during merging. This creates an increased risk of collisio
... n for myself, passengers, and surrounding vehicles. I have experienced some scary occurrences with shuddering at high speeds, hesitation while near other innocent vehicles and stalling. I was never notified by Toyota about this recall or service campaign while it was active. I maintain current registration information and would have had the issue addressed immediately. Toyota acknowledged the campaign but refused support due to expiration, despite my lack of notice. I contacted Toyota and was instructed to file a complaint with NHTSA. Toyota declined to repair the issue under goodwill or policy exception. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether this defect should have been classified as a safety recall and whether consumers were properly notified. Sudden loss of power or stalling presents a significant safety risk and may warrant additional remedies or extension of the campaign for affected owners who were not notified.Read more

The hybrid system completely failed and ev battery completely discharged. That issue is a major safety concern and I no longer feel confident driving myself and my child in that vehicle. I was on a hilly 55mph County Road, with few turn offs, when the hybrid system failed, resulting in a loss of acceleration, power steering, power brakes and heat. Check engine light, Oil Light and battery light
... illuminated while entire dash display started flashing red with critical fault message. The vehicle then went into limp mode. Dash showed that hybrid battery was completely discharged and warning message displayed saying vehicle would shut off in 5 minutes. Able to restart after a few minutes, but warning light said vehicle had to be left in park and vehicle started shuddering hard. It was a frightening few minutes trying to get to a safe place to turn off and park with the dashboard flashing red. The vehicle had to be towed to the dealership. The vehicle would not go into neutral and the tow company had to drag the vehicle with wheels locked onto the flatbed. The Kia dealership service department states both the wiring harness and wiring fuse box need to be replaced as a result of the hybrid system failure. I have reached out to Kia Customer Care and currently have a case opened with Kia that has been escalated. Prior to the hybrid system failure, after vehicle was at dealership for routine maintenance, a code P052400 appeared and vehicle had to return to service dept to address code. That code was NOT present when vehicle went in for its routine oil change and tire rotation. I still do not have my vehicle back. It has been at the dealership in service since December 1, 2025. According to the service department, the parts needed are on backorder with no ETA.Read more

HTSA Safety Complaint Description The 2025 Tesla Cybertruck exhibits a persistent and recurring air suspension system defect that impairs safe vehicle operation. From the moment of delivery, the air suspension failed to raise or lower properly, displaying a fault message indicating potential restoration on the next drive. This did not occur. The issue included repeated overheating warnings, multip
... le system failure alerts, excessive compressor noise/knocking, steam and water discharge from the undercarriage, and the vehicle remaining stuck in a lowered ride height, causing scraping damage to underbody trim and mud flaps. The vehicle underwent a major warranty repair where the air suspension compressor was replaced due to a stuck exhaust valve and damaged air line, followed by recalibration. Despite this, suspension overheating warnings and intermittent system failure notifications continued to appear. On December 23, 2025, while driving at moderate speed in clear conditions, the vehicle suddenly and uncorrectably migrated off the roadway. Adaptive steering correction, braking intervention, and lane assist failed to engage. At the time of the incident, the display actively showed service notifications indicating suspension system failure and overheating. The vehicle veered into a ditch, resulting in a significant drop and requiring specialized heavy-duty extraction. This defect has impaired the vehicle’s handling, stability, and safety from delivery onward, with no resolution after attempted repair. The recurring nature and active failure alerts during the loss-of-control event suggest a serious safety risk.Read more

The failure directly impacted my ability to safely control the vehicle and posed a risk of crash, injury, or death to myself and others on the road. 2017 Ford F250 issue is with the steering damper and the reported "death wobble" caused by the faulty part. In 2019, on several occasions driving on the highway I experienced uncontrollable shaking in the front end. Each time, I had to slow my speed down to under 10 MPH for the wobble to stop. When I took the vehicle to Ford dealer, they knew what the issue was and told me to properly fix the
... issue I needed to purchase and Aftermarket part, that Ford did not have the proper part to fix this. This comment was straight from the Ford Service Tech. I paid for the fix and up to 2025 the problem was gone. Starting in November 2025 the same issue is back. Each time of the problem, either my wife or I were traveling on a highway, traveling between 65 - 75 MPH. It takes both hands firmly holding the wheel simply to hang on until the truck can be slowed to, again, under 10 MPH. This puts us in a bad situation when on the major highways around the Ft. Worth Texas area. This time the Ford dealer charged ~$600 to fix the steering and re-align the front end. And once again, the Ford Service Tech said this is only a temporary fix and we would be back!! This has been a well known and documented issue with these trucks but Ford has refused to issue a total recall. I guess in this day it takes "confirmed body counts" before recalls actually happen. Why does it take the loss of life for this to happen? Ford should be proactive and fix the issue before deaths occur...but this would be expensive and bottom line financial statements to share with Wall Street take precedence over peoples lives.Read more
